Apparently it's going to be taking place the earliest on the timeline (Maybe later then Minish Cap? I dunno) and will be about the creation of the Master Sword.

Iit was said that this is now the earliest in the time-line. The master sword creation is just speculation but most likely will be part of the story.

@IzzySarru I thought the zelda games were unconnected except Ocarina, Majora's mask, and windwaker.. I do believe I remember Miyamoto stating once that all the other zelda games are in alternate universes.

@S0ryiu Er....I don't remember where, but I'm 99.9% sure that Nintendo or Miyamoto has stated before there IS an official timeline, which would lead someone to believe they are all connected in some manner, besides some of the games have plot points which tie in directly to other plots, like Alttp and TP both connect with OOT.

watching this makes me consider to finaly buy a wii. im not a fan of motion controls and this kept me from buying a wii. and in most games the motion control seemed kinda dumb and pointless.

but in skyward sword it looks fun to control the direction you swing the sword. and if theres tactical use for it in bossbattles or puzzles then it doesnt look pointless anymore.
