  • So superlative video. Thank you. Regards, Sergio.

  • No wonder I found out of place in that stupid movie flick, is this the dump scene of the passage of time when Bella stares at the window in a carousel motion?.

  • the harp is truly a wonderful instrument in producing the soothing effect and pleasant feelings of calmness, serenity, and tranquility. Better than the piano version in many ways.

  • Thank you! To me this wonderful version spells pure love, and it reminds me of how vulnerable we all are.

I am grateful that you uploaded this version, and because of that I will be able to sleep without nightmares tonight.

    Thank you!

  • Nice photo montage

  • Que fotos mas bonitas. es una guitarra? En Piano mil veces mejor

  • @Aniii29

Es una harpa, estoy segura :)

  • @Personnenessunonadie Aaaay perdon, SABELOTODO

  • Frankie & Johnny

  • ...toda obra prima de um artista tem o toque de DEUS....

  • omg stupid song -.-

  • @eLekTriiZeeD you are stupid ....

  • @eLekTriiZeeD you are unfortunately, very stupid.

  • If my dreams had music playing in the background, this is what I would be hearing.

  • indescritibile divinamente, emocionante, belíssima suave magestosa, genial.

  • Twilight doesnt deserve this song...

  • @777Lloyd777 so true

  • I'm actually glad that this song was featured in twilight as fans of the saga like me have the opportunity to be exposed to such classical beauty.

  • è solito dire ti amo non è solito sentire parola ti amo

  • Why would you say in the description that it was featured in the film " Twilight ".

I would rather say that the film was featured in the music :)

  • Of course you are absolutely correct! Note that Seven Years in Tibet and Ocean's 11 both featured this song but 4I can't think of any motion picture than could usurp DeBussy. This is possibly the loveliest piece of music ever written. It's the Moonlight.

  • It is used in Twilight because it is mentioned as being Bella's favorite. Then she meets Edward and he is playing it in his car in the school parking lot! Read the book, be respectful and don't assume all young people are unrefined or not interested in beautiful things no matter their age!

  • hey, do me a favour and don't talk a about Twilight, don't even diss it. It's got nothin' to do with this awesome song, even though it was in twilight. theres nothing wrong with twilight.

    K people?

    Just listen to the music!

  • Just superb. I would love this video clip and music along with many other beautiful classical pieces on a DVD so as I can put up on large TV screen and have as background while studying or just relaxing. The beautiful natural scenery and the peaceful melody is so soothing and uplifting. Thanks for the feeling this video and music created for me. Harp does the best justice to this piece.

  • What an amazing piece, was so nice to hear it in Twilight. More so as a lot of people probably didn't even notice it, which I feel made it even more powerful to those that did

  • @UrbanKhoja I like you :D I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed :D I'm a Twilight fan haha :D

  • Good relaxation while studying :D

  • Beautiful harp! Never heard this piece done by harp. Piano, yes or piano and solo instrument , yes, or even an orchestra. But never harp. I like it!

  • ...Is this masterpiece played with a ukulele ?!!

  • Claude is reading this shit from the grave and tinkin you all nuts.

  • why, it distracts me from the crappy pictures....video should be disabled for this type of sound

  • @nothingmorethatiwant the pictures are fucking great!

  • It doesnt matter what you listen to as long as you listen to it, with your whole heart and soul.

everyone has theyre own type of music they adore, leave them be.

  • how beautiful<3 :) ...i think i'm in love :)

  • I love this piece by Debussy! Can you imagine what was going through his head as he was writing this piece. Notice there is no beat? What goes through your mind as you are listening to this most wonderful piece of music? I think it is one of the highest honors to put a masterpiece to a current movie craze! I say do more of that so the young people can see that just because it's classical music doesn't mean it can't be absolutely beautiful.

  • @honeybee4u2c Wow, I know this piece since years but had never noticed it had no beat. Really interesting, kept me thinking for a while xD

  • My English teacher played this in class while we wrote our essays. Adidcted to it.

  • Sorry, but I give a Thumbs Down when there's an ad . . . . how disrespectful . . . .

  • There are pictures which remind me of the Kootneys, and Okanagan. Beautifully done video.

  • i agree comments should be disabled

  • I'm dying of how beautiful this is T.T

  • I have a colostomy supplies advertisement at the bottom of the screen, lol. Really? Isn't that a specialized target audience kinda thing? Maybe they should advertise something relative to the video showing.

  • @MsAnuBelle Many of those listening to classical music are as old as dirt, and many of them need colostomy supplies.

  • fuck twilight. that shit was gay and it got boring hearing all the incessant blabbering from the girls in my class. i dont really mean to be a troll but that shit just pisses me of. first of all what kind of fucking VAMPIRE SPARKLES FOR FUCKS SAKE. sure all of you faggoty little guys and stupid girls like that sort of thing but its gay and the maker should be shot in the head along with the idiots that agreed to be in the films. well thats about it for my weekly youtube rant. goodnight

  • 0.00-5:44 eargasm

  • Commentary should be disabled for this type of video.

  • What's the name of the instrument? <3

  • @satsuki26 Not sure, sounds like a Harp possibly? :)

  • bello

  • Bonita musica y mejor las fotos ...enhorabuena....saludos.

  • debussy 's arabesque...n la mer is also gud....

  • Twilight opened up the world of classical music for a freaking lot of people. I don't see why we should look down on that.

  • @Grymhett I agree =)

  • @Grymhett THANK GOD FOR TWILIGHT. Fuck Debussy. If Twilight wasn't made, who'd know there is classical music, right?

  • @MissDreamcatcher17 yeah like that Mozart dude, right?

  • @MissDreamcatcher17 Well, let's see you have those who actually like classical music, music teachers, people who have come before Twilight that sit and listen to this music, people who enjoy a classier type of music - the list could go on. The mere fact you come off with that statement makes me question your common sense. I hope you were making a joke, I really do.

  • @BlodyTmesMassHystria Of course I was. I was being sarcastic. :D

  • @MissDreamcatcher17 Ah, good.

  • @MissDreamcatcher17 what a silly thing to say. im sure you dont actually mean it.

  • @dunkinzsoda I'm sorry. What?

  • How beautifull..... this moves my into tears...

  • 11 people don't know the true meaning of music.

  • love this so much!

Recently ventured into this genre, found it very frightening that people know so much when I don't. Maybe just enjoying it is good enough

  • @pompom2001 And do you enjoy this impressionistic music so far? The people who listen to this music are for the greater part people who like to explore all the background information. Of course enjoying it is good enough, the message is in the music.

  • No me canso de oirlo, es la culminación del romanticismo y la evocación.

  • Okay, there are a lot movies that use this so it really doesn't matter where you heard it. What matters is that you have heard it and how it makes you feel

  • Lovely...thanks for posting.

  • Very beautiful interpretation in harp! Thank's for your sensibility to give us this precious treasure. God bless you! Emoke.

  • beautiful song...beautiful photos...thanks

  • Such a beautiful world. I am glad we have such beautiful music to compliment it.

  • Music is a way to express yourself and feel... Everyone is different; so isnt it natural for people to have different tastes in music ?

i for my part like both popsongs and classical music. Saying popsongs are " just garbage" is disrespectful..

  • Clair de Lune ist so schön!

  • My favorite piece! I could listen to all the various versions of this and never get annoyed or irritated by it's magic!! Thanks for sharing ...

  • @gnometraveler My favourite Debussy piece, too. Harp's version is very sweet. But I can't help being very fixated to this moon thing as per the title - so it's for me an evening/night song definitely. It works best looking at a full moon.....

  • never saw it :D lol

  • Eines der zauberhaftesten Musikschöpfungen dieser Welt! Es macht glücklich, daß es soetwas gibt!

    Zanuki41

  • I came here because i'd heard this piece used in Ren and Stimpy (of all things) about 18 years ago and never really knew the name until now.

  • well i for one learned this song from Skins :) twilights cool too. i dont really like it but sure, whatever, music's universal aight?

  • every one must love debbusy cause this must go all around the world i love it love it love it yayayayayayayay

  • La música clásica es sonido para el alma

  • Look at you all Fellating each other over the hate of twilight and feeling pretty good about yourselves for it lol. "Look at us we listen to classical music, we're so above all of this popular culture stuff" To each their own.

  • @Missleanneiscool Your comment is infinitely more sensible and rational than the top two comments.

  • @Missleanneiscool It's nice that you're paying respect to different peoples opinions and all, but classical music is better than pop music. There for, (musically speaking) people who listen to classical music are above pop culture.

  • @Missleanneiscool people who truly love music cant stand that pop garbage because it lowers the standard for music the standard is so low now all thats produced is complete garbage in the times of great artists going back decades and centuries the standard was much higher so we all got to listen to real music with all sorts of different messages emotions and sounds now all we have is some iffeminate weird kid saying baby over and over again

  • @Missleanneiscool totally right. music is for all and nothing is above in the category music.

  • @Missleanneiscool But I am above popular culture, thats why I have apple products, use the internet and watch youtube videos :D

  • @Missleanneiscool LOL!!!!!!

  • @Missleanneiscool LOL!!!!!! Did you ever see the South Park cartoon episode called "Smug Alert"? It's about pompous people who are so self-satisfied that they love the smell of their own farts. What a gas. . .huh?!

  • @Missleanneiscool

You know it isn't anything weird that people get pissed off when music they like is used in a movie they don't like.

  • @tajniak4 I beg to differ. As far as I'm concerned its just art there's plenty of other things which are a million times more serious and more worthy to get angry about.

  • @Missleanneiscool

Well, yeah, I guess you're right, but that doesn't change much... people DO get angry when something happens with things they like, even if it's not really important

  • @tajniak4 consider its sharing the beauty to those that never would of never found it otherwise ...

  • @Missleanneiscool How did you and your filthy mouth even end up here? Chill out. I'm thinking Miss Leanne is NOT cool.

  • Splendid photography only match by the enchanting music you chose. My only comment as a producer of videos and photographer is that it would have been better to stretch the amount of time each shot stays on screen to match the length of the music. Showing twice the photos in a loop takes away from the magic. I non the less enjoyed watching and listening. Thanks for posting.

  • While I agree that Twlight is basically shit. I don't think that teenagers learning of this beautiful music through it is a bad thing. It's like teachers that complain about their students reading comic books. Consider it as a 'gateway drug' to a expanded horizon.

  • sorry--twilight can't touch this. some marvelous things are above the tawdry--and clair de lune is one of them

  • ......jesus, fucking twilight, vampires that glitter and all the girls panties grow wet

  • RAAAAAVE!!! :P

  • I hated this piece before twilight ... And now I hate it even more. Good music stopped after Beethoven, DEAL WITH IT.

  • twilight woof

  • wow for the song... i hope all the actors in twilight get syphilis and the directors and the teen girls that love the so called movie oooo an people who use the word twihard

  • twilight is something like twilight...totally overrated...i LOVE the classics eh

  • its sad that the top two comments on this piece of music are talking about twilight (this comment is no exception) :{

  • can we just drop the twilight nonsense, most of us are here to listen to the beautiful music.

  • Oh man the harpist is good :).

  • Hi! I have a question! I really love the pictures you used in this particular video. Do you still have them, or the sources that I can use to find them?

  • im doing a project on debussy and one of the requirements was to get a song. i was going to pick this one.... until i learned it was in twilight....... twilight ruined everything :(

  • I'm glad I don't watch Twilight haha!

  • Twilight ruined this for me.

  • struggente...

  • Twilight?MEH, Ocean eleven all the way!

  • LOVE IT IN TWILIGHT=OK???

  • YOU SHOULD BE FUCKING CLEAR THAT THIS IS A HARP VERSION, AND NOT THE ORIGINAL

  • May I say this to those who are opposed to this in "Twilight"...think of it this way...people who may never have been exposed to such lovely music now ask themselves...ooh, who is that playing? ... thus expanding the knowledge of music that may not have been otherwise known....it all depends on how you see it....the universe works in mysterious ways...enjoy it.

  • Lovely...thank you.

  • Wonderful, love this melody :3 It's just so beautiful ^^

  • perfect for relaxing ,one of my favorites , beautifully played .thank you for sharing .

  • i had never seen Twilight..i don't like..but i 've heared that amazing music from Nicole's Kidman advertisment for CHANEL NO 5..

  • This was my favorite piece far before "Twilight".

  • I first heard this in Fruits Basket, then again in South Park. And, lastly, the worst movie in existence: Twinkli- I mean Twilight.

  • I am unaffected by certain movies' use of good music. So what?

Why should I care? I do not.

The music is still the same and maybe, just maybe, people will have a new world opened to them. Just as I did, just as you did, when you heard this for the first time.

Injoy the music...... I certainly do. :D

  • Hey if a movie opened peoples ears to music, why are you complaining? Stop wasting time being condescending asses and just listen to this beautiful piece. It wasn't made for just you.

  • @juenavei It sure as hell wasn't made for a terrible vampire/pseudo-werewolf film either.

  • @juenavei you rock clair de lune rocks

  • I like how people have to get pissed about the mention of Twilight. Oh no someone likes something I don't time to freak out now.

  • Wonderful <3

Does someone know what kind of harp is used ? =)

  • Fuck twilight! Debussy was on some whole other shit! This is mezmerising!

  • This was balm for my soul tonight. Thank you for this video! And whoever this "Twilight" show is ... never mind. Debussy wrote this without benefit of some stupid TV show.

  • this is perfect fpr edwaed and bella twilight is truly fantastic

  • The pic with the overhanging tree and bushes with red flowers...where is that? Amazing.

  • was also in man on fire

  • Perfect from beginning to end, what else?

  • Fuck Twilight. That insipid movie doesn't deserve to be graced with Debussy's genius.

  • Who'st he harpist ?

  • I remember 4 years ago I went on a cruise ship with my family and my baby brother needed to nap so we played this full blast on our cabin and I would just sit on our patio looking at the ocean while it was raining. It was beautifull and absolutely memorable <3 R.I.P little Tristan... forever I will love you

  • did you play that?

  • I didn't come here because of Twilight!! Thumbs if you didn't!!

  • @drummer96ish You must feel pretty damn special then.

  • @drummer96ish WHAT!!! Twilight used this piece? Oh god... I feel sick.

  • @drummer96ish no i heard it on chris moyles show radio one

  • guys don't be so negative.. if twilight never existed then a great amount of people would never find out about this masterpiece.. peace..

  • I think you made this beautiful tone gorgeous by ten fold! This is by far the most beautiful piece I have heard on piano and now harp! You gave me goosebumps and made me melt!

  • Why do they always have to compare songs to the worst movies they were used in? The epicness of this used in the Oceans 11 (correct me if im wrong) is absolutely untouched. But Kids of these days always have to remember songs by the movies they were used in. Im 23 myself, and I remember this song played by my dad in the early morning hours on his accuphases as I was just a little child... THATS epicness, just for me.

  • down-voted because you soiled Debussy by mentioning twilight. He's spinning in his grave at 1000 miles an hour. >:-(

  • @williamstackford

Twilight has ruined several great and beautiful things: mythology, music, literature and girl's dreams and ambitions.

  • @ambereyes93 probably the truest thing ive read in a long time! death to twilight and stephanie meyers for single handedly destroying literature and minds

  • @ambereyes93 Twilight hasn't ruined anything. How could you say that any of those things have been ruined at all? It's insulting, saying that a series of books and movies could ever damage such important things that go way beyond what could ever be made in present day.

Choose your words wisely before you say anything was 'ruined' by Twilight, since half of the things that people say have been ruined by it actually have revealed how ridiculous Twilight actually is.

  • @iST3LLA

Erm, actually, it has. I can't believe how many girls have lost their senses over an imaginary freak who sparkles in the sunlight. Some covers for 'Wuthering Heights' have actually been changed to 'Bella and Edward's Favourite Book!'

So yes, Twilight /has/ managed to make our culture more decadent than it was. You are right, however, in saying that Twilight is ridiculous; it certainly does not deserve the hype surrounding it.

  • @ambereyes93 Well, the point you bring up there is true. But it just saddens me to think that something like Twilight could ever "ruin" something like a beautiful composition such as Clair de Lune, since at least for me I don't think anything could ever ruin it.

My apologies, I whole-heartedly agree with you.

  • @iST3LLA

Perhaps not really 'ruin', but at least somewhat diminish the charm of. No need to apologise :)

  • @ambereyes93 A-FREAKING-MEN

  • @ambereyes93 *applause* You just made my evening!

  • @ambereyes93 One of the most deliberate postings I've ever read! WORD!

  • the pictures fits perfectly with the song. so beautiful and relaxing.

    love it!

  • I had a harpist at my wedding. How I wish I had got her to play this :(
