stratagey used in another way was before the battle begin you woud get 3 huge gunpowderbarrels and 6 small ones i beleve then set some since he takes sometime before you can even hit him unless you have a gun, we had people with lances i believe they were called around the dragoon or somthing cant remeber one was to stall him while the other either trip him or go ahead and set barrels the other with anyother weapon doesnt matter and then a gunner

Lao Shan Long dont use to attack, he just walks and walks to destroy the Village door, but you can get hit by his feets, his tail, his bites (when is near a bridge), by falling rocks, etc.

Noobish mistakes... .____.

1.- The head takes low damage, since it has a lot of defense and is very hard.

2.- The weapon you used is Thunder alignement, when the only one that hurts him is dragon or fire.

3.- You shoul've started attacking and breaking the belly first.

Even a noob as me knows all of this, why? Because i'm kicking his ass with my Eternal Strife.

lao shan is a time based quest monster, but it can hurt you. MB+: easily obtained from Hr2 and higher quests. how to get HR2: Do the following quests. GiaDrome Assault. The Lank Shark. The Lurking Desert Giant. The Mischief Maker. then you will unlock the urgent quest. do it and you will obtain HR 3. and to save another question, this is what you need to do to get Hr3. complete these quests: Master of the Giant Lake Evening Hermataur Sontona Pincer through the Sky. to be continued.

i get monster bone+ from capture the gypceros in 4* guild quest and to get to hunter rank 2 u needa do the land shark trouble in the swamp jungle menace attack of the yian kut ku catch a yian kut ku catch a gypceros and then urgent called four horns, kill 2 diablos was very fruststrating and time consuming i won on 4th try with 5 mins left lol

Lao Shanlung rarely attacks. Although if you piss it enough, it will attack back. Also, why attack actively when, with a stomp, that thing can screw you forever?

lao shan lung has 20000hp and arkantor on monster hunter freedom 2 has 25000hp lao is harder to solo because of his size.but with a team of clust lvl 2 spammers you can kill him in a good 8mins. arkantor you will have to take a wide range of types of hunters to lure him away from eachother. but lao is easy!!!

Ive been hacking and slashing with my setoruyo (wrong spelling) wolf at his face for the past 6 mnths (this is also the single player one, the one with 1/3 of the usual HP) and using like 6 barrel bombs +'s, normal barrel bombs and cmalls barrel bombs at his face, used the drill thing at the castle, shot and hit with a couple of cannon balls, hacked at tummy and face after, but i CANT KILL THE F***..., always manages to destry the bloody castle..

yes he has been known rarely to attack you but only if you're on a high level such as the bridges on the way to the castle. But this is rare, I've only had it happen maybe twice to me.

I'll help you. =) Monster hunter game ID is "Haishao." HR20, not that that matters a whole lot. You get Lao-shan as an urgent quest at the crossover between HR 12 and 13
