@Shamuck22 Show me one decent record company that wouldn't try to control my content, and I'll gladly try to get in touch with them. Until then, I'd rather do this and hope for some word of mouth. Tell your friends.
@Fusionater10 I'm not good at symphonic music. Nor opera. Nor generic pop love songs. Nor...anything that requires me to be any more than slightly passable at playing a non-percussion, non-electronic instrument.
Nice track. Question: If would people starting referring to your stuff as Nerdcore, would u have a problem with that? (not saying theres anything wrong with that, just trying to gauge your opinion.)
@kokujin72 I've got nothing against the nerdcore term, and some of my tracks are definitely nerdcore. I'm a nerd, I've made nerdy and geeky references, and some of my songs are on quite nerdy topics. I don't know that I'd call this particular track nerdcore though, this is more of a late 90s backpacker rap throwback. "Off the Grid" is 100% nerdcore, however.
@Swenglish Yeah, I wouldnt say that this video is 100% nerdcore, (though it shows elements here and there.). I mostly saw it as a commentary on the state of contemporary hip-hop/rap, and how a lot of it has become very cliched and trend driven. Most emcees today imo think of the bossiness/revenue side of things TOO much instead of just making art/expression. = /
@Shamuck22 Been there, done that. Right now I'm trying to focus on making songs that are worthwhile. Which...usually means a lot of sitting and staring at a blank page and judging myself harshly for not thinking of any good enough ideas.
@lolcompany4u Finally? I've been making raps not about those things for years. As have many others. Look outside the mainstream for two seconds and you'll find tons.
reminds me of Buck 65 a bit

Sweet track, man, loving the video. This is true hip hop here. The track does sound old school, but old school is cool.

@Fusionater10 If by my element you mean slowly going broke, sure, yeah, I'm like a fish in a pond. A small, stinky pond. In the desert.
