i'm a fan of the saiyuki series, and i was wondering...why isn't saiyuki well known of?

theres so little media of saiyuki. theres only 3 anime series. (sayuki, Saiyuki reload, and saiyuki reload gunlock, which didnt finish.) btw saiyuki should be shown on adult swim. also...why isnt saiyuki popular like the mainstream animes such as Naruto, Full metal alchemist & one piece? does that mean saiyuki is bad?

@darkladyd i haven't seen saiyuki reload blast. personally, the first sayuki for me was called gensomaden sayuki and had 50 episodes, two parts actually.

a lot of character development. i guess Sayuki was about going in stages. the first was about character, the second was about the journey and the third was about the greater evil that they were about to face. the last episode i saw was when they faced another powerful monk and the monk's mentor was the bad ass doctor.

If you mean manga, then darkladyd is right, but if you mean ANIME then it's Gensoumaden Saiyuki, Saiyuki Reload, Saiyuki Reload Gunlock. There is not Saiyuki Reload Blast anime.

Gunlock is accually still going on in the Manga. Requiem, and Jade both take place during the journey, but not in any real order(So, it doen't matter in what order you watch them) Burial is more of a flash-back etc... How Koumyou Sanzo came to have our Sanzo, How our Sanzo finds Goku, How Hakkai and Goyjo first meet, and then how all four end=up meeting.

I'm not saying I dislike the show, I was trying to point out that although it's a good franchise, the animators have made it less great than the original franchise.
