using your hip hop example i don't think it'll be right for some kids to throw salsa and country into the mix without any criticism. keep in mind the ppl judging such dances are the ones who've been dancing it for a while. they paved the way for the new gen so their opinion should have some weight to it.

Using my hip hop example HIP HOP BORROWS FROM EVERY STYLE/DANCE. Regardless of how long they've been dancing they cant step outside of their own self's and realize what THEY even did to change capo. Thats one thing they need to realize. ALWAYS CHANGING.

the intro was taken from the previous choreography they did for the concurso de tinkus (cause only the girls did it this time), which was based of 1,000 hands buddha, which is chinese folklore.

actually sure we can and by we i mean the ppl who grew up w/ what you'd probably call old school capo. Now, im all for fresh ideas and new styles but my issue is when you say your the next gen and think you can do anything u want with the dance.

You can introduce anything into caporales AND YES EVEN REGGAETON, it all depends on how you present it. LOL just look at Uni, and their stripper/cowboy moves. That shit won the crowd over and there isnt anything that says what they didnt wasnt capo.

My personal opinion is that there are not caporales gods (as we all know) however we can't really do whatever we want and use that as an excuse. If that were the case than any group could do perreo (for example)on stage using the excuse that there is no correct way of dancing capo.

The coreography was very nice, the music was great! the dancers spread their energy to the audience like crazy! I really enjoyed watching them perfom. Just a few pointers... being sexy is ONE thing, but being sexual is a TOTAL DIFFERENT MATTER. Hay k haces las cosas con gracia y no groceria chicos! I just don't think it was suitable for the judgment of artistic and professional judges.

I may not know a lot but I dance caporales too...and that is just my opinion btw...I grew up watching caporales dancing in Bolivia and Universitarios is one of the few who dance caporales like it should be danced.

Dude...nobody i dont post here to argue...i already told you thats just my opinion...and from what ive seen the way caporales is meant to be danced is, guys do a lot of strong moves, stomping, a few kicks every now and then but above all 'fuerza'...girls, are supposed to be graceful and flirty but not slutty, just enough to compliment the guys dancing...ive never seen caporales in Bolivia where the girls jump around and the guys do kick after kick after kick...
