Kucinich was blocked from the debates for the same reason Gravel was blocked from the debate, that because there is no democracy in the United States. The people are powerless until they wake up and realize there is a solution to this problem. Mike Gravel the only one running for President is willing to dilute the power of government so that the people may make laws on a national level. Imagine if the people made laws instead of the rich corperate 1 percent. Vote Mike Gravel this primary!
I suppose it's a compliment to this show that the Paul and Gravel guys don't have any shows of their own where they can argue back and forth as they do here, daily.
Ron Paul will be dropping out as soon as they give the nomination to John McCain. Then finally we wont have to see their stupid spam every where anymore...
People are making a statement. You call it "spam" If we have to we'll WRITE IN RON PAUL... Either way we''ll make a statement. You make it sound like what were doing is wrong. If you want War go sign up. pussy.
Kucinich Kucinich Kucinich Kucinich Kucinich !!!!! You are the best choice for President! Please run again for President! Please don't leave the house!
I'm still in grief. Our Corporate Fascist Media ROBBED us of this GREAT PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE. ROBBED the people! BOYCOTT all major corporate media -- Don't give Disney one red cent! They are trying to turn America into a Fascist country.
He's my here too. Why shouldn't adults have heroes. There's nothing wrong with admiring someone who has taken a stand and has worked hard and is a visionary.
Adults can still have heroes, and mine is Dennis Kunicich. You, my friend are the champion of the people! Good luck with the re-election bid and Seattle still loves you brother!!!
There are now three Democrats left in the race. With Obama and Clinton splitting the corporate vote, Gravel is the only candidate left with the obligation to take as many delegates as possible in order to push both the front runners towards the Progressive movement at the convention.
What a shame. He was clearly undermined and attacked by the war profiteering big business and military industrial complex. Thank you Dennis for being who you are - truthful and earnest.
Although I like Mike and some of his ideas (NI4D not being one of them), I think a more meaningful candidate at this point to vote for would be Dr. Ron Paul. Our Nation isn't approaching bankruptcy, it is bankrupt and needs immediate attention. Why won't Mike (or any of the other candidates in either Party)talk about that? We're in deep trouble. Economy first, otherwise nothing else really matters.
Apparently, you haven't been paying attention to Gravel, because he talks about this all the time. He is really the most honest on the subject. This came up several times in the debates with what small amount of time he had, so you don't really have a good excuse.
Yes, I've heard him talk about all the tax increases, maintaining the Federal Income Tax, etc. So he's not being honest at all about REDUCING Federal spending to sane levels at all. Paul offers the most comprehensive and rational plan to do that -- by not simply getting out of Iraq, not simply reducing "the empire", but eliminating it.
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. That would be Ron Paul my misguided Gravellian friend.
"Yes, I've heard him talk about all the tax increases, maintaining the Federal Income Tax, etc."
What the hell are you talking about? I guess it doesn't matter. It seems like you have made up your mind, and you will invent whatever facts you need to justify your decision. (Seriously, it is not that difficult to look up Gravel's platform.) Good luck with that. Judging by your comments on the NI4D, you also seem to have the perfect slave mentality to serve our corporate rulers.
Exactly why I'm voting for Ron Paul. Because I'm tired of being a slave. Peace, Freedom, and prosperity is what I want, and so do a multitude of others. "Liberty" is the key to all of that.
Why don't you try helping your Country and make a contribution to the campaign right now. You say you want a r3VOLution? Well, this is a very rare opportunity to really stick it to the ruling elite. And we'll welcome you to our ranks.
You can slam the Gravel campaign for having zero percent, hell, I encourage you to do so, it's hilarious to us!
However, Ron Paul isn't doing too much better, is he? Some 'revolution.' Now please, let's have all the zombies thumbs down this comment, but 4-10% isn't a winning percentage, just like 0% is not a winning percentage.
You can't slam Gravel for polling low without slamming Paul.
At least Paul has support. And Ron has very significant and substantial campaign financing from the grassroots (and NOT from corps, special interests, or pacs), and continues to maintain and increase his grassroots support. So 10% of the vote is very significant -- and makes Paul a REAL force in this election -- as opposed to 0% for the Gravel campaign, which represents no force at all.
Something about him re-running for the House makes me strangely optimistic. He may have gained a lot of extra-appeal through this campaign. Maybe it'll be the Senate next. If the media doesn't want to make him a front runner, he can always raise slowly in the ranks until he has seniority. I know that'll take too long.
Thanks so much for all that you have done to help this campaign, these videos could NOT have been any better. This was fantastic. All of you that have contributed to get Dennis Kucinich elected are America and the Worlds truest Heroes ,thanks for sticking with Dennis Kucinich. Lets go Kucinich RE-ELECT this honorable man Cleveland.
Peace and love all involved. keep fighting for a real change. Hillary and Obamma will never speak for me. vote for fears don't rule in my world. peace
Wow, I'm sad he's dropped out but I'm glad he was in it for awhile. I know he'll continue to speak truth to power and that's the greatest consolation.
Now that Dennis has dropped out I hope to god that Kucinich supporters will have the strength to stay in the fight and choose to support Mike gravel instead of the other war mongering candidates. Obama and Hillary are one in the same. They are both agents of the lobbying district. If you want real change then come learn about Mike gravel and support his independent run for president of the united states. It's our only chance for any real change.
Mike Gravel is running to spread awareness to the national initiative. A Proposal that will give Americans the right to vote on Isuues with their elected officials. As oppose to just voting on manipulative politicians that tell us they'll take care of the issue for us. Its revolutionary.
Yeah, that's quite an initiative Mike's got there oldhacks. Everyone make sure to closely read the fine print about NI4D since the vast majority of Mike's campaign promises rest on it. It needs only 60 MILLION signatures! And, if the Congress doesn't accept the "petition" (which they won't) after all those signatures are gathered and verified, then it will end up in the Federal Courts for years of court battles and appeals. Quite a he's got plan there...
ok well you just sit there and not give a damn about anything except your own petty insignificant life. meanwhile I will be out fighting for change and making people aware that theres a legal proposal out there that you can vote on to empower yourself to vote on the issues instead of just crooked politicians. So many cowards and defeatists. so little time.
Yeah, thanks for making my point oldhacks. So little time, indeed. And you continue on a course that could take up to a decade to actually implement. We don't have a decade to wait. We need action NOW. Gravel's NI4D doesn't offer that -- at all. Paul's the most heavily funded candidate by the grassroots remaining in the campaign. So come on over and join us in the r3VOLution!
NI4D might take a while to implement but ron paul actually has no tool to actually accomplish anything. you cant push things through congress without something like NI4D
You obviously don't understand how our gov't works. The President is the "CEO" of the Executive Branch and doesn't need to consult with the Congress when making decisions with respect to the Executive Branch's agencies, of which there are a multitude. And as Commander-in-Chief, he does not need to consult with Congress at all to withdraw forces from anywhere. That's an Executive decision. So clearly what you're saying is nonsense. You don't need Gravel's "fantasy plan", NI4D, to do any of that.
How predictable, that Giuliani would endorse McCain and Edwards would endorse Clinton. Is it any wonder that the guys pulling the strings have chosen Clinton and McCain as there choice for pro-establishment agenda. Is there a more predictable story>?
We love you, Dennis! And thank you for being a voice for *our* concerns about our country! And thank you to all the people who helped!
Strength through peace is still what I want for the US! Let's make it happen in '08 in whatever way we can! Don't give up on the Dream! Keep hope alive!
It seems to me that America is hell bent on self-destruction. Is the honor we once stood for dead? Is the constitution a dead document? Dennis was the only candidate worthy of serving as president of our once great country. As a nation. maybe we deserve whatever crappy sold out candidate we will end up electing.
I'm really disappointed with all the front runners. Hillary, Obama, McCain, Romney... the whole lot of them seem like corporate shills first, politicians second, and representatives of the people dead last.
The military-industrial complex and the corporate media brought down another idealistic candidate... Still better than ending up like JFK, but a harsh loss anyway.
I was devastated when I heard Kucinich wasn't running for president anymore, but I still respect his decision. I didn't even believe my friend when she told me she heard it on NPR Monday.
I don't know who exactly I will vote for anymore, I just know I won't be voting for Hillary!
u can still vote for dennis if hes on your ballot, i am, he still gets delegates if he gets 15% in any congressional district, or else theres mike gravel he has the same platform
I think Dennis is great and I am really sad to see him drop out. I really hope he holds his seat in Congress - I will be voting for him - he is my representative!
To all you Kucinich supporters - please consider Ron Paul as your second choice - if you would just vote in the Republican primary then perhaps we could have the main election come down between Ron Paul and a Democrat. Please consider it - he might even pick Dennis as his running mate - look up kucinich and Ron Paul - you will see.
Do you know about Dennis's new site integritynow (dot)org (still under construction).
Also, I donated to his his congressional candidacy, please do so if you can afford to. Those who tried to silence him in the presidential race are also outdoing themselves to steal his congessional seat. We need his voice in congress. To donate: 216-252-9000,
Excellently done show! Congratualtions! I cried. This is only the beginning and I hope to see you all soon again. Congratulations to all of you and especially to Chad Ely.
Hey clearchoice2008, great video response! I'm really going to miss this show. Thanks for keeping me informed. Question: Do I still vote for Dennis Kucinich in the upcoming primary on Feb. 5th even though he's out of the race now?
9,537 people voted for Dennis Kucinich in Florida last night (January, 29, 2008), even though he is out of the race now. But Dennis is not out of the race for truth. So, I hope you decide to do the right thing.
Those that will make a difference don't stand a chance in a dog and pony show intended to make us feel like our votes will actually be counted. Elections are now preordained in a system so full of holes, any hacker/secretary of state can alter it.
Years from now, as students study this election, they'll look back and wonder, "Why in the world didn't they elect the guy who had the answers to their biggest problems?"
Great series, great final show! Thanks for all your hard work, Mr. Merrick and everyone else.
Ron Paul wants a christian america, taking money from white supremicists and the christian hysteria and we have to suffer while hillary and barrack can't peace it out long enough to get at bush who falsified war.
RRSAlabama, don't try to persuade those radicals away from Ron Paul, they are waking up. In time, they will eventually realize the problems and the polarization of America.
Would you rather those radicals vote Rudy Guliani? Hellz No! Ron Paul is the Only Republican, just like now Mike Gravel is the only Democrat Left, well..., instead of parties, I should say Patriots, as there is no difference between Hillary and Guliani, both war mongers and anti-constitutionalists.
I was gonna give 1 star because I felt backstabbed, but that would have been mean.
OK guys, who to support now?
The next best answer is Mike Gravel. He isn't as good as Kucinich, but he's the next best Candidate. I urge all Kucinich supporters to vote for Sen. Mike Gravel. Watch the movie, "Zeitgeist" and then realize Gravel, like Kucinich, is not a CFR member, which means they aren't bought by Corporations.
because Ron Paul is does not agree with me on the gay rights(he is against gay marriage), universal health care(also against), abortion(he is pro-life), and other socail issues. One of the reasons I think we need to leave Iraq is to focus on these issues. Ron Paul is the wrong kind of change for me.
Hi JesusEinstein. I'm a registered Democrat, I can't vote for Ron Paul. As much as I want to, I can't. Even if I change parties and get a court order, I can't. I'm a substitute for the election volunteer pollster.
Sometimes you just can't do what you want, there are rules and regulations, which prohibit people from doing that. Elections should be revised to a more Russian communist way, so every vote counts and doesn't matter what party enrolled in. You cant always vote for you you want :/
We're screwed. I am okay if a Republican or Clinton DOES NOT make it into office. Sigh. I (reluctantly) support Obama ever since Kucinich dropped out. Oh well.
All this is just raw human potential - to get to a point of expansion where there is no difference
whether we are in physical embodiment or 'sitting on the lap of and wrapped in the arms of God' for all is one. We are one with all. This is what the Indian ascetics term 'Jai Sat Chit Anand' -- truth consciousness, bliss - I see myself in you. This is the paradigm of oneness and limitless being.
I've been following Dennis Kucinichs' campaign over the past few months, he is an honest man of integrity and determination. I wish more American people could hear his message, it rings true for me and if I were an American he would have my vote.
i can't help but to think this news station is slightly biased to dennis. jk jk... dennis was the only good candidate and i hate this fucking country... so stupid... bunch of dumbass huckabee idiots
This is sad. If only more people could have gotten a chance to hear his message. I was talking to a young woman at the drug store a couple of weeks ago and upon my saying I was interested in politics she asked for more specifics. I said, "I'm a Kucinich supporter". She said, "what's that?"
What doesn't she know his name? Why won't the corporate media let Dennis talk to her?!?
I still don't know why it would have been so hard to stay until Feb. 5...Anyway, Dennis consider what you might do with GREEN PARTY support. Their values are your values...a perfect mesh...every Green Party pronouncement matches your stated positions. The Democrats are not your friends, they are corporatists, and I Believe the Fight for not-for-profit healthcare, and election finance reform can only be waged outside the mainstream political parties. I'm a Green, I have supported you, ...JOIN US

Also, I donated to his his congressional candidacy, please do so if you can afford to. Those who tried to silence him in the presidential race are also outdoing themselves to steal his congessional seat. We need his voice in congress. To donate: 216-252-9000,
or google for hte site (reelect dennis).
Blessings!

Hey clearchoice2008, great video response! I'm really going to miss this show. Thanks for keeping me informed. Question: Do I still vote for Dennis Kucinich in the upcoming primary on Feb. 5th even though he's out of the race now?
rooneytune 4 years ago
Hi rooneytune,
9,537 people voted for Dennis Kucinich in Florida last night (January, 29, 2008), even though he is out of the race now. But Dennis is not out of the race for truth. So, I hope you decide to do the right thing.

Thank you. DK will get my vote.

Okay. Now, it's time to be as Anti-Hillary as possible. I didn't want it down to those two, but oh well, we must stop Senator Walmart!

Those that will make a difference don't stand a chance in a dog and pony show intended to make us feel like our votes will actually be counted. Elections are now preordained in a system so full of holes, any hacker/secretary of state can alter it.
busherbee 4 years ago
Years from now, as students study this election, they'll look back and wonder, "Why in the world didn't they elect the guy who had the answers to their biggest problems?"
Great series, great final show! Thanks for all your hard work, Mr. Merrick and everyone else.

This is wierd and awkward. Kind of reminds me of Reading Rainbow or some after school special show. Anyways, MIKE GRAVEL 2008!

Ron Paul wants a christian america, taking money from white supremicists and the christian hysteria and we have to suffer while hillary and barrack can't peace it out long enough to get at bush who falsified war.
RRSAlabama 4 years ago

Lucidtomr 4 years ago
I feel the same way, somewhat pissed at him for dropping out.
Gravel will get my vote, the only real candidate left.
seldom4 4 years ago
Just fucking vote for Ron Paul if you really give a shit about ending the war/change.
Buy Gravel's book instead of fucking voting for him.
JesusEinstein 4 years ago 2
because Ron Paul is does not agree with me on the gay rights(he is against gay marriage), universal health care(also against), abortion(he is pro-life), and other socail issues. One of the reasons I think we need to leave Iraq is to focus on these issues. Ron Paul is the wrong kind of change for me.
bpainter2 4 years ago
Yeah but he's willing to let states decide those things and not leave it up to the government. That's the only middle ground we have right now.

And what if Gravel drops?

We're screwed. I am okay if a Republican or Clinton DOES NOT make it into office. Sigh. I (reluctantly) support Obama ever since Kucinich dropped out. Oh well.

BTW
Jai Sat Chit Anand, means:
All this is just raw human potential - to get to a point of expansion where there is no difference
whether we are in physical embodiment or 'sitting on the lap of and wrapped in the arms of God' for all is one. We are one with all. This is what the Indian ascetics term 'Jai Sat Chit Anand' -- truth consciousness, bliss - I see myself in you. This is the paradigm of oneness and limitless being.

I've been following Dennis Kucinichs' campaign over the past few months, he is an honest man of integrity and determination. I wish more American people could hear his message, it rings true for me and if I were an American he would have my vote.

i can't help but to think this news station is slightly biased to dennis. jk jk... dennis was the only good candidate and i hate this fucking country... so stupid... bunch of dumbass huckabee idiots
spiltanarchy 4 years ago
This is sad. If only more people could have gotten a chance to hear his message. I was talking to a young woman at the drug store a couple of weeks ago and upon my saying I was interested in politics she asked for more specifics. I said, "I'm a Kucinich supporter". She said, "what's that?"
What doesn't she know his name? Why won't the corporate media let Dennis talk to her?!?
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
Good fight! It's disappointing that the majority of Americans have not been exposed to or have decided to ignored to his message. Ron Paul 2008.
