  • Remember I was here.Thai 4:11PM 8/13/2011

  • Loved the video, minus the camera guys constant orgasms.. kinda ended up as a distraction.. what are you 5 years old? Thanks for the upload either way.

  • some MA practicioners said in the real fight this kind moves is imposible, they said in the real fight one cant trap hand because the enemy will withdrawn the hand after they punched, now take alook at the first tec, guru eric left hand actually trap the enemy hand withdrawn and the second tec shoved the enemy body after the stright punch, these examples show us that the hand trapping is for real.

  • i'm very2 proud to be indonesian right now...thank you for this vid,,

oh when r you plannig to go to indonesia, to make a demo maybe,,

there's a lot of style out here you know...

  • this is called silat harimau. its from minangkabau, in west sumatra, indonesia. there is a movie called 'Merantau' who exposed this silat harimau.. i get a perception from that movie that pencak silat is a very powerfull martial arts.. damn its design to kill your opponent

  • F*** off....

    damn......

very very very very very powerfull move....

    2 thumbs up....

    silat,silap,silau....

  • Silat Harimau was from Indonesia..

    precisely from minangkabau..

    my Hometown..

  • this is what we call a good silat instructor! :D

  • lol..non malaysian ppl are learning silat..im happy to see that..but malaysians now wantss to learn taekwando or karate...thats saddening

  • All Martial Arts are for everyone. They are treasures for all Mankind. Theres nothing wrong to learn Karate or Taekwondo. But i get your Point. We shall not forget our heritage.

  • @maharis2000 You are right at this point, just give credit to the guru and where martial art come from. If you learn Minangkabau style, please mention it honestly like Guru Eric did, you don't have to pay royalty for patent.

  • because tkd and karate are easier.

    silat is hard to master

  • great...this silat use tiger fighting styles.....but can anyone tell me what is the different between harimau baringin sakti pencak silat(indonesia) and silat harimau(malaysia).....

  • @hacker9422 silat harimau malaysia was also from sumatera

  • i dun mean to be racist or anything but its nice watching non malay or indonesian people practicing silat :D

    malaysia = )

  • agreeeeeeeeeee....

  • I practice Silat Merpati Putih from Java. and I love it...

  • I know that!! hahaha.... merpati putih yeah! :D

  • greeting from minangkabau

  • nice

  • WOW!! =D

  • The only martial art that sounds delicious!

  • Great video, my teacher Guru Besar Jerry was right . Your Silat is awesome . That last technique is really good I used it in my class last night . Very inspiring.

  • mungkin sbb terlalu bahaya. antare trademark jelas silat ni kt sini ialah menangkap kpale @batang tengkuk spt harimau. sbnanye care bgini sgt merbahaye apatah lg dlm ptempuran sbnar. klu tgk ufc antare penyudah die ialah tang batang leher. silap haribulan mungkin mbawa kmatian...

  • hmm..kenapa takder pertandingan yang promote silat ...silat olahraga bukannyer best pun...skill terhad..real silat vs real silat la best skit

  • bahaye la...gerakan silat ni bleh membunuh walaupon hanya 1 gerakan..

  • Really interesting indeed. Thanks for sharing!

  • fuh org putih dah master blajar silat ..5 star

  • After watching this video it makes me think my silat is amature at best. Beautiful work.

  • 5/5 very good to learn it:D

  • In my opinion southeast asia martial arts:

    Indonesa, Filipines, Thailand ect,

are a lot more effective than northeastern:

    Japan, China, Okinawa, Korea ,ect.

  • yup. I've thought that for a long time. Why do you think that is?

  • probably because in early history as developing

countries in southeast Asia they were more exposed to violence and war thus needing to create fighting systems that were adaptable in real world confrontation.

  • thank bro, I'm Indonesian, I practice a kind of silat, and I'm very glad you say that.

  • @clashb

    in japan are kiyokushin karate

in china san shou (chinese kickboxin

and in korea takewondo and hapkido

this asian martial arts are a lot effective

  • @clashb

Thats probably because they are still fighting for war & personal street self defense. Where as on the other hand Japan, China, Okinawa, Korea had long periods of peace. So their arts denegerated.

  • thanks for upload, my parents are west sumatrans but i never learned anything in Holland, such a shame indeed but this motivate me to learn this martial art of my roots

    thx

  • I have known Guru Kruk for over 12 years. He is the real thing - an incredible silat practitioner as well as an incredible person. If you have the opportunity to meet him in person, I strongly recommend that you take it.

  • some devastating moves, but very risky in the street, could easily get kicked in the face.

  • not if your opponent dont expect attack from below.

  • Devestating skills Guru Kruk. An excellent understanding of of Baringin Sakti movements. My highest respects always.

  • Salams... Guru Maul..Terima Kasih for your positive comments..I also speak highly of you .. Always good to see brothers promoting Pencak Silat.. Take Care and talk to you soon..

  • Is there a belt ranking system in this form of Silat? It looks as though the instructor is wearing a blackbelt, but I didn't know if that denotes rank in Harimau or not. Also I was wondering what "dan" would you have to attain to garner "Guru" status. I know im asking alot, but I am interested in the art. Thank you very much for your time sir.

  • Thanks a lot for your interest. There are actually many more types of silat. I'm from Malaysia and i practice Silat Gayung Patani. Yes, the belt ranking system also applies in silat. It's a bit different from one silat to another. But the concept is the same. To become a guru, you have to be tested by your own guru and if you pass the test, then only you'll be training new students by his side. Bear in mind that the test also requires you to be a trustworthy person to teach people how to fight.

  • it depends on the type of silat you practiced too. In my silat, there are corps of trainer/pelatih/guru and a councils of masters/pendekar. This councils of masters is the highest ranking in my type of silat. It's a common to have differences other than the techniques in silat
