That insignea on that soldiers Beret is a Wolfhound...My Father was also a Wolfhound in Cu-chi 66-67..man he told me some storys those wolfhound were always in Mean Firefights...man i miss my pops...he was beautiful man...and a proud soldier...Long Live the Wolfhounds those guys were some badd dudes....
I have to say the vietnam war was one of the bloodiest wars we have ever had , the tet offensive, and all those anti-war groups. I remeber that people went to canada to escape the draft. not only that but we had really bombed the hell out the viet cong and NVA and they still survived after all those bombings. Its amazing how much courage an average NVA soldier had. Thank you man, your a real hero
Thank You to all Viet Vet brothers and sisters from Wisconsin and elsewhere for serving our great country..Hold your head up high with pride!...from your fellow Ohio vet who served as an RTO with 4th Bn, 196th LIB Vietnam 1968-69.
@sfaldraga it was never our war to begin with. We Signed S.E.A.T.O so we had to help south vietnam. Jfk and Diem more or less had a plan for vietnam. we were just a fighting force who played war for to long, We went into vietnam and were ripped out by politics.
to superbobafet- we did lose the war. even if we lost alot of men or whatever..we lost. think about countries who are at war all the time or have a war avery few years/ they dont lose wars? im not saying i hate the US or anything i was born here.
I worst experience of my life was being deployed to Bosnia/Croatia- for 3 years after getting out I was TOTALLY numb, I worked 6 days a week, but just stayed alive drinking coffee, smoking, and work... thank GOD I did not have a bad temper or snotty personality!!
My Grandad was in World War II, he tells me alot of things about war, and sometimes I thin to myself how he could go through all of that. His hands shake alot due to the War. He has a Purple Heart and a few more medals which he has. I look after the Purple Heart. My Grandma told him to pull out of the 82nd Airbourne because she knew she probably would loose him. My Grandad was brave. I'm proud of him.
my dad was in the war too he was a gorilla unit helping the cia he got shot twice and got no reward for it but he tells me alot of stories about the secret war but if ya want to knoe more let me knoe
my grandpa fought in this war. he tells me stories. he has a purple heart from the war. he was injured twice once with a trap in the jungle and he was shot. he said the scariest part was the jungle at night. He is normal but he does have some problems but he currently lives a good life and lives in a nice house off a lake
lost the war? no one won that wasr, america had no business in vietnam, its so sad that young americans we told to go there and they didnt know why and if they didnt die they came back home and drank themselves stupid because they didnt know what to do, u c in world war 1 and 2 we were fighting for freedom, in the vietnam war we were fighting for nothing
Very well done. It has been exactly 40 years since I came home and the memories are still fresh. Thank you for what you are doing for us. Brothers forever.

Nothing makes me more happy then seeing a small communist state totally dismantle and destroy American opposition.
Stay in America and leave the world the fuck alone.
