How does one go about making electronic music? I grew up on this stuff and have alot of ideas shaking around in my head...What type of equipment is required ? I have a 27 inch Mac to start.
@kvnlgn3008 You could start with some virtual instruments like Cubase, Nuendo or Reason. Reason i thought was pretty good. Get a Midi keyboard as most of the magic is done via that mostly synths and stuff but drum machines are all mostly easy to setup.
@OpticalSnare i wondered this same thing for the longest time.. theres a nice vst for reaktor 5 that gives you great choices of vintage synths. its called OPX :D
this is quite close to a lot of EBM stuff that was coming out in the 80's inspired intially by Kraftwerk - bands like Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, also New Wave bands like New Order, Depeche Mode... but sort of a mashup with a modern spin on it :)
