  • thanks so much!

  • Thanks for tip.

  • Watch out for laser it can damage eye.

  • u did not teach me shit!!!!!!!!

  • Great informative vid. Thanks

  • @420stamper This only fixes the tray eject problem. If it can't read, I suggest you clean the lens with a Q-tip that's slightly moist with alcohol first. If that doesn't work, the problem is beyond what I can give advice for.

  • thankx you saved my ass man

  • Thank you SO much for this! You are pretty awesome to share this with us!

  • /watch?v=vV2GsxzsbmA

    plsss help mee

  • just make grooves in the pulleys with a knife or thin screwdriver that this creates adhesion and no need to replace the belt.

basta fazer estrias nas duas polias com um estilete ou chave de fenda fina que isto cria aderência e não precisa trocar a correia.

  • what do you do if it is not reading the disc?

    for a pc?

  • Worked. Now my tray ejects every time. Thanks!

  • 100% worked, thanks. Now my tray ejects every time.

  • does this work with the xbox 360?

  • Screw ppl with the Xbox fix

    Seriously

Now I have to waste about 150$

    Cuz of this damn videos

    Thanks cunts

  • Thanks!

  • Good vid...however you should have told people not to plug up an optical drive with the cover off since the laser will damage your eyes. Im sure there are plenty of novices trying to salvage a drive that do not know this.

  • No need to find a new rubber band.

You can shrink the old rubber band by using a hair dryer to blow hot air on it.

    100% working guaranteed

  • @badtmaru I tried this out on my DVD drive and it worked. 100%

  • Man, a cure... this is not. and after you can make a clip on how to fix a spent drive motor. Im just gonna bite my nails, wait till the end of the month and try to muster up the cash and go get an actual drive belt. i hope theres a computer shop out there somewheres.

  • Well... That mostly just saved my DVD player. Actually, it's not so much that the tray wouldn't come out as that it wouldn't go back in (it was kinda skewed, but I couldn't tell which side was too high/low). This gave me the confidence to take it apart, fix it, and put it back together. Only now it won't turn on at all. :(

  • please help my tray wont open for the emergency thing

  • lol

  • what a fag

  • i have this probelm but with my xbox. any chance you could do one for the xbox 360?

  • Thanks a lot

  • I dont have the emergency hole >.> i have an acer aspire X1200

  • @ClubGuiatarHero laptop drives should have the hole too but if a laptop dvd drive wont eject thats a whole diff kettle of fish as they dont use that they pop release rather than motorised tray (for reduced size) however replacement laptop drives arnt bad price wise

  • can you help me fix my laptop CD tray it wont go in i can still move it but it doesent go fully in

  • thank you that was very helpfull

  • CUT YOUR NAILS YOU NASTY FUCK

  • @mosaicglass I can't see why not.

  • Could you take a band out of another plain PC dvd drive and use that? I have a few of those laying around.

  • thanks man it worked for me,, thanks :)

  • How can I fix my CD drive? When I used the "paper clip solution", the tray opened so little and it still stucked! I don't know what to do. The Drive is a built-in in my ACEr ASPIRE 4736Z model, I don't know what to do... help please anyone?

  • Did you get a manicure just for this video? Cut your nails women!

  • tx man, i fix computers on the side, and this worked perfectly for me.

  • @Oni64 It shouldn't make any more noise than it used to

  • worked, does the drive also have make more noise now?

  • i had the same problem! you know what i did? i pressed open while helping it a little out and now it works perfectsly smooth

  • Cheers a great help , thanks

  • that explains thank you.

  • i have the same drive.

  • how about cutting down those nails?

  • @enzo1st You would be suprised how handy long nails can be while tinkering with things

  • I have a DVD drive exactly like your!

The magnet upon the tray just stuck to hard, I cant eject the tray. Then when i fix the problem, I insert a CD, and it sound like they're sawing wood in it and i have to eject it immediately!

  • Wow so much for the emergency hole, my doesnt even work!!! >.< Im so fustrated.

  • thank you sir

  • Comment removed

  • what should i do if the rom doesnt slide out? cant open the front

  • dued you rock like hell now my dvd player works properly

  • @mailman456 Thanks! Glad it was able to help you salvage a DVD player!

  • Amazing! Thank you!

  • Please man!! Cut your fingernails!!!

  • Most DVD players have the same mechanism to eject the tray, but you'll never know until you open them up. Some use a cork screw to open and close the drawer.

  • @guytechie Hey - good tube! I found that a small "O" ring worked perfectly once I stretched it a little. These are available in lots of different sizes. Thanx :)

  • thanks,is that for regular dvd players that u hook up to tvs too?
