Yes this is definitely a form of mass media, I'm not denying that. But I don't spend 5 hours a day watching youtube videos, whereas the average american watches 5 hrs of television a day: blog(dot)nielsen(dot) com/nielsenwire/online_mobile/­americans-watching-more-tv-tha­n-ever/

It'd be hypocrisy (and therefore irony) if my life revolved around youtube (as many people's lives revolve around the television set), if I made remarks in daily life referring to mindless youtube videos.

But all of the arrangements are by Mike Andrews, and the only reason it appears on "Trading snake oils ---" is because MIKE LET HIM DO THAT! So it's not a Gary Jules-song, it's a Mike Andrews/Gary Jules-song.
