Hi there. Thanks for the video. First time garlic-grower here. If I want to keep some cloves for seed the following year, should I separate the cloves I want to keep, after the bulb has been through the drying-out process, and store them in some shredded paper or something?
I have a few questions.I live in arizona, and its over a 100 in the summer and about 70 in the winter. Is it a good to plant it? I have a puppy that will probably dig up the garlic. How can i stop her.
Sup.. i know its to late to plant garlic now, but i was thinking about something.. is it possible to put a pot with newly planted garlic in the fridge, and let it grow in there? lol
@skoredreng "is it possible to put a pot with newly planted garlic in the fridge, and let it grow in there? lol"
That is a thought. Garlic needs a cold spell to get them started so the fridge might work. On the other hand they won't be getting much light so are unlikely to grow
I Love You...

With all the Vampire movies around these days , it might pay to plant a few extra next year !
Good soil , by the way .

Great. (Got mine in a few weeks ago and they're already 6 or more inches high and it's only December!)

If you harvest all of them, how would you keep the plants reproducing?

@game2heart The cloves from your harvest can be planted.

Can you tell us which month we should plant them for best results.

Should you stop on the leaves like you do for onions to increase bulb size?

after the garlic has dried and hardened how long does the garlic last?
tocky12345 1 year ago
@tocky12345 If have a good harvest, proper storage conditions, and a bit of luck, your bulbs should last until next year's harvest.
