  • love your performance im trying to learn the fan form but i dont know any who teach out here in maui :P

  • I like this, and the best music too! Well done!

  • that was amazing! nice! (:

  • Kata is only in Japanese martial arts. That is the tao lu.

  • I really liked it.Great Job!!! :)

  • wat

  • he ran off like Napoleon Dynamite...

  • i will married you *w*

  • you did awesome kid!! keep up the good work!! you have encouraged me to pick up the fans again and practice!!

  • I have seen a number of fan katas here on youtube, however yours is the first that I saw that you actually seem to know what you're doing. Slight misstep near the end, but over all, very well done. Just a question though, aren't the backs of the fans supposed to be hidden as much as possible to the audience? There were multiple times when you flashed the backs.

  • that was just what i was taught...

  • Okay, no worries. Again, you did very well. :-)

  • why does everyone use this music? i used the same one for like a year!

    (i still use it)

    lol

  • nice fans^^_

  • Man, I'm going to miss being able to do kung fu! T_T Like I said a year ago, the form is still horrible and I could knock that boy over but since it's a dance, it's awesome. Bad form, but looks like fun ^^! I just wouldn't use it in real street battles... -_-" *Starr*

  • If you think that the Fan Forms were created for street battles, you are seriously wrong. They were created originally for women, as either a form of entertainment, or a subtle way to perform asassinations. Besides, most of what is taught today that is called "Karate" is pretty much useless in a real street fight. Real life isn't like the movies, kid.

  • @AvalonDraconis I agree with you on the fan part, but in my experience, karate isn't all flash. My sensei (and all my karate krazed family >>;) always taught that if you're fighting more than 10 seconds, your'e dancing, and if you can't do it in a telephone booth, the move is basically worthless. He trains all of his students on how to please in a tournament, and how to bash someone's brains in when they try to rape you. "karate" is definatly not worthless if you have a REAL teacher.

  • If everyone were to practice the same version

    it would get old

and Martial Arts is always changing

It dosnt matter as long as the deliver the form good.

  • He looks like Kung Fu Panda :D

  • Hey kid, great job!! Keep up the good work!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAA this makes me laugh idk why

  • lol

  • Nice form! The motions just need to be sharper.

  • Sharper, deeeeeeper....and a real sin. [lol] *Starr*

  • he did a great job.!! In this ever changing world there will always be people changing things around. Dance is like that...

as long as you you respect it

  • are you retarded? this isn't a dance this is a kung fu form...

  • Don't like it. Needs to be far sharper...kung fu is meant for battle and it should performed in that way as though in the heat of battle. *Starr*

  • does it really matter if this was'nt the original form? his movements were quite smooth and well practiced regardless. (kind of reminded me of tai chi sword routines, but i wouldn't really know)

  • I would have to guess that it was changed to prevent some viewers from becoming "video masters". Today's technology makes it too easy for anyone to watches videos, practice the forms, and claim to have learned in actual schools. By changing it, any claims can be discounted when confronted by real practitioners. So I have to give the performer the benefit of the doubt for at least giving viewers a taste of what the form may actually be like.

  • Well , the video is good , but that isn't the original form , please don't change the music and the form , respect . And the name of the song is Chinese Kung Fu .

  • i need to know the name of that song x_x plz.

  • what is the name of this form?

  • Please respect the writter of the original dance, don't change the action and movement by your own wish, if you can't follow the original version by some personal disabilities, please put more effort on it or give it up, I don't want to see there will be 20 or 30 versions of this Kung Fu Fan.
