  • You said it g4ten! WOW was just what I said too! What an awesome voice! Pretty enough to make one cry and give one chills. It did both to me!

  • Larry Gatlin is the just the greatest with his singing and his songwriting, and his brothers added to that, such beautiful harmonizing. All I can is Wow.

  • This clip has wonderful sound. Thanks for posting it!

  • Searching for a song to audition with and looked for a song by my favorite male country artist, Larry Gatlin. You have no idea how many times I've sung this song at home when no one was around, using a hairbrush for a microphone. Man, can this guy soar! Is there a purer tenor? This song is from the album 'O, Brother'. You should hear 'I've Got You' from that album, too. What a voice, what a song.

  • A very beautiful and achingly poignant song by my favorite country singer, Larry Gatlin.

  • Miss Emily & Nicholas together since she was "killed off". I"ve always loved this song. I wish Elvis had recorded it--that would have been awsome!

  • @wp1953 Elvis would have destroyed this song. It's a very good thing he never did it.

  • @TheLonesometoad Totally disagree!! He would've been great on this!! Sadly, we'll never know.

  • @wp1953 Elvis had a very limited vocal range. He would have had to change the melody because he never would have hit the high A, or anywhere near it. He didn't even have a falsetto.

  • @TheLonesometoad ur crazy

  • @burnske217 Maybe so. But I'm right. I grew up listening to Elvis, I've played in bands starting back in 1966 and played a ton of Elvis songs. I knew Elvis's voice through and through. He did NOT have the vocal range to pull this one off. He could have changed the key and made it a baritone lead, but that would have ruined the song.

  • @TheLonesometoad I totally agree Lonesometoad, way out of Elvis' league, Elvis was great at what he did but didn't have the technique, control or passion to get anywhere near this good. I've played and sung in bands since '62 and trust me, this is not easy.

Rick Knight, ex lead vocals, Hullaballoos

  • @RickKnight1 Rick, please do a search for my channel. ( TheLonesomeToad )You'll find a handful of my recordings. I did "I've Done Enough Dying Today". I'm old so I don't have what once had. But, you'll hear that I put my heart and soul into my vocals.

  • I love this song and I came to love Nik and Emily together once I got over my Emily and Zander infatuation. I think Nik and Claudia make sparks fly in every direction these days. I like Nik's hair longer. Tyler is yummy handsome.

  • When I listened to this song for the first time I couldn't believe they would release something like this, but I ended up humming this tune all the time. It's my favorite Gatlin tune as well. Glad they released it.

  • Larry once said that was his favorite song he ever wrote.

    Mine as well.

  • That's correct. I met Larry Friday and he is really a down to earth guy. Very nice guy.

  • One of my favorite songs by Larry Gatlin-be still my heart!
