I think I used the jpn version because the 3:05 TAS on nicovideo used it too, so I wanted to make sure I'm TASing under the same conditions (so random lag frames or version differences don't interfere).

My goal was to improve the run to 3:04 but I only got 3:07 because I couldn't luck manipulate Dedede well.

I don't think there are any version differences, if you ask me...

TAS or not, you still beat my Boss Endurance time by a good two minutes (mind you, I play on an actual silver GBA SP, so I couldn't beat your time if I tried). Impressive nonetheless.

I got 100 % on Extra and the real adventure,it was hard,and on the last boss don't trying pressing Up and Left at the same time,it can crash the game.

The crash happens when you press up+down.

Also, the sound will glitch up if you press down+up+right.

Nope. TAS is when you use savestates and luck-manipulate the enemies/bosses. You use a built-in recorder sometimes so that every time you mess up, you load a savestate so you can go back to that frame that you messed up in.

It is meant purely for entertainment and is in no way cheating. In fact it takes more time than regular speedrunning due to the MASS amounts of re-recording and luck-manipulating you have to do.

No, he tool-assisted it. Hacking is when you cheat. With hacking, it beats the TAS but it is not entertaining to watch and it defeats the purpose of playing the game.

The ball boosts me slightly, so losing it before this instance would have costed frames.

Another feature of using an emulator is rewinding to a point before you made a certain mistake - if you make one - to optimize gameplay.

This movie was made using an emulator to slow the game down so that you can advance a frame at a time while pressing certain buttons. A file saves this sequence of button presses and will always play back the same result. I 'touched' some enemies, because it is possible to get so close to them. Why shouldn't I, if it's possible? (In most cases, 1 more pixel would have resulted in me getting hit) And if I get hit, I can rewind to before the mistake, using savestates which save what exactly is ha
