Throttle Position Sensor! I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 with a 4.7 liter v8 and it did the exact same thing. After asking a few mechanics and doing research on the internet I decided to replace this sensor myself and save $20 - $30. I'm not a mechanic, just an 18 year old. Yet I didn't need help because this is very simple. It's right next to the throttle body and you just need to remove two screws and detach a clip... no big deal ajnd it feels good to fix it on your own.
there is a map sensor on the drivers side of the throttle body. you disconnect one clip and take a 2 screws. that sensor could be dirty and need to be wiped down
I have the same problem with my 02 4.7 jeep i think its either the throttle postion sensor or the Idle air control valve, it could also be a small vacuum leak that you cannot hear yet but idk
looks fine to me you ass fucking gM sucks there piece of shit trucks and cars i get them in my shop all the time and iv only seen two dodges in my shop my whole life neon trans and Dakota oil change you cock suckin mother fucker you are a littel kid that knows how to use the internet and you should burn in hell mother fucker gm sucks ford dodge rules and bail outs gm has had to have been bailed out more than chrysler....... and so fuck you and your pathetic excuses for a channel
"my wittle F650 go pulled by a Dodge- most do." you said?? Well I have hard time understanding your language kid is that English??
Are you trying to say that my Ford F650 got pulled by a dodge??! When?? Where?? sorry jose.. it never happened.. you mean the F650 that was about to break down and the driver wasn't even stepping on the gas.. oh ok..
It's baby talk, because you seem to be having a temper tantrum over the fact that your little F650 got pulled by a measly Dodge 1500. But don't worry, as I said before, most trucks can't hold up to Dodge or Chevy.
BTW: It did happen. Watch the video. You can very clearly see that the F650 can't hold it's own against that truck.
There's quite a bit of difference there. One is much more plausible than the other. A 1500 Ram with a decent motor, Rockewells and slicks pulling an F650 is much more likely to occur (and did) than a BMW (that you don't own, by the way) pulling 10 full size trucks.
Seriously, you act like such a child. LOL Don't be so butthurt your little F650 would get torn apart by a 1500.
You saw the video- clearly shows a lifted Dodge Ram 1500 with a standard cab and a short bed sitting on 2.5 ton truck axles (Rockwells) with drag slicks at all four corners slowly but surely dragging along an F650 who can't get enough traction so is left doing nothing but burning off rubber.
I'll explain to you how this works, because it really wouldn't be disgraceful to get by that truck as it was set up (the truck, not the F650 being pulled- it wasn't fake).
First off, the thing had Rockwells- VERY strong axles with, typically, a very low gearing. This truck also had slicks on that were running low pressure. Not only that, but the truck was lifted, setting the tow point higher. You should know why that's significant. If you don't, just post again and continue to be a tool.
Remember when that event wasn't staged, and happened in front of an audience? Oh, and you remember those slicks that it had that kept it from sliding? Yeah, apparently that F650 can't even pull a 1500. LOL!
I have a 2003 Quad cab with the 4.7L with just over 90k miles on it and since about 38k when it is cold it does the idle fluctuation, it's only stalled one time and like I said, it only does it when it's cold and by cold I mean in the 30's.....
The TPS wears where its most often operating, meaning at idle and highway speeds that you always drive, and thats why at idle and at 90km/h mine was always fluctuating brutally
Did you solve the problem? My 2000 Durango with 4.7 that and I cleaned the Idle Air Controller on the side of the throttle body, it was very gunked up, but it still did it sometimes... it was the worst when cruising at 90km/h. The torque converter kept unlocking for a second and then locking up again, meaning RPM would suddenly rise from 1800 to 2200, then go right back down. Finally I changed the TPS (throttle position sensor) cost me 70 bucks or so, and its worked perfect for 2 months now
yes my durango was getting really bad, bouncing rpm at idle, and a surge in rpm every time I hit a tiny bump (like a crack in the asphalt) I replaced the Throttle Position Sensor (cost $83 bucks canadian with tax) installed it in 5 minutes and its been perfect ever since, not a blip.
I have a Sebring that did the same so we brought it in they updated the computer..... been fine for 2 years... will be coming off lease in 12 months and were planning on getting a limited edition minivan.
my 2004 dodge Dakota didn't have any issues for the 4 years I had it and so far so good with my Caliber, it's only got 15,000kms hard km's on it... (gotta love 10,000 kms between oil changes).
1.8 litre 5spd stick see's 5500 rpm daily while dealing with traffic.
Ford Exploder lol. Explorer is a horrible SUV. Moreso the older models then the new. If I were to buy a BRAND new suv right now. It would be a chevy trailblazer
For a good clean, the whole throttle body should be removed, the IAC and TPS removed and the throttle body cleaned with carb cleaner. Also make sure the pintle valve on the IAC is cleaned.Make sure the Cleaner says O2 sensor safe.
you've either got a hole in one of ur vaccum lines or ur timin chain is off balanc. either way, what ur truck's tryin to do is find a "happy medium" spot for it to idle. check ur lines and chain.
Or idle air control. Its right under tps

okay.. I rest my case.. If you say so..
jendeh32 2 years ago
That's a good idea. No sense in trying to make yourself look like a bigger fool.
I'm proud of you, jendeh- backing down when you're wrong is always the right decision.
Tboninator 2 years ago
If you say so is actually means you can keep running your mouth and show everyone how dumb you are.. it's not necessary mean backing down.
so okay if you say a gas pick up truck can out pull a semi truck.. only retards like yourself would believe that :O

More ignorant comments from the supposed F650 owner. You're just too funny.
Remember the video where a Dodge 1500 pulled that F650? Yeah- Dodge power rules your little Ford to bits.
Tboninator 2 years ago
LOL!
You're gay, remember when it was all staged (that means it was fake)
remember when i punked you when you said a gas dodge 1500 pick up truck can pull a diesel medium duty truck. and everyone laughed @ you..!?
LOL

There is a TSB on that. Turns out the PCM is at fault. A dealer will have to reprogram the PCM in order to stop that.

This is a sign of a bad or dirty IAC . (Idle Air Controller) You must have a lot of miles. Sometimes they go bad and just need to be replaced.
good luck

he really doesn't have a lot of miles last time i checked 64,727 is just breaking in, or in this guys case just breaking lol
