For instance, ice beam is a wicked awesome move, but putting it on a rhydon is a waste of a move slot.

I <3 Perish Song.  I've had only one serious battle with a Perishtrapper though. I tortured his poor Torterra until it expired. He hates Perish Song ever since.

Perish song makes all pokemons that are fighting in the arena, faint in 3 turns. But if you change the pokemon, Perish song will lose its effect. Atleast in Pokemon Stadium 2 for Nintendo64 does.
