@chahalcharan a Sufi is someone who is close to God ... the true Sufis are Wali Allah (Holy Saints) such as Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah (r.a.), Hazrat Waris Shah (r.a.) and in Islam we also consider Guru Nanak Ji to be a Holy Saint... the Sufiana Kalaam is written by the Saints as an expression of their love for God... it has nothing to do with worldly things... in Islam, Sufis are the ones who incorporate Shariah (Law) with Tareeqah (Practicality) and eliminate all forms of extremism and violence

I am a fan of Gurdas mann but am very sorry to say that he can't sing heer just because he is not a classical singer. Best Heer renditions are from Ustad Puran chand Wadali and Ghulam Ali. They are mesmerising.
