The so-called Shariah law practiced in these places is not necessarily correct, there are differences of opinion from Islamic scholars. Oppression of women is not restricted to Muslim practices or majority-Muslim countries. Take the opportunity to meet Muslims personally and read about Islam yourself without any assumptions or stereotypes.
