Hi Werzuhun, thanks for your comment. A few years back I was completely unfamiliar with Radiohead. I asked my brother about them and he explained how awesome they are, so when I saw "Best of Radiohead" on vinyl box set (really!!!) in a local shop (closed now, sadly) I bought it. Took it home, played it, result, instant fan. My fave band is Joy Division but Radiohead really are amazing.
I'm just glad they reclaimed this song as their own: what happened in the 90s was it was essentially stolen from them...turned into "THE song" that everyone listened to, and yet it was still Thom's. It took them a long time to remember that it's theirs, and nobody else's: fuck everyone who used it as a tool to make money or to criticize Radiohead as a band. (I'm looking at Oasis here...fuck em all)
@purpleraven888 there will be idiots always... they just love to push the dislike, on a good video. I think they aren't mad, but this is a sickness anyway. Otherwise I can't understand why are the fuckin' bieber guy in the top comment. Forget his name forever! You just help to keep alive his fuckin' legend, with saying anything about "her". If you would really like to fight "her" FORGET HIS NAME F O R E V E R! ! ! LET THE OBLIVION TAKE THOSE CRAPS!

@LeaveMyBody As far as being nasal, he is not the greatest singer tonality-wise. I can't remember the interview I read it, but he himself I believe has said he hated his own voice but has learned to live with it over the years. As far as the faces, get over it man, many singers do weird things on stage, its just the way the convey their emotion.
@SaintxOfxSuburbia Radiohead is clearly the best band of the last 15 years and counting. The Black Keys are the second best, this because The White Stripes broke up.
@pheadxx I would agree if it was upbeat, kind of like Cea Lo's Fuck you. Yeah, the message and what he's talking about is kinda sad and depressing but it has a sassy and upbeat sound, so hes obviously very sassy and sarcastic.
This has a really depressed and sad sound, so it's pretty clear that he means what he says, not that he's being sarcastic.
@Jirue7609 and i clearly disagree with your disagree because THEY'RE FUCKING RADIOHEAD. When have they show the REAL meanings of their song in the surface? That's not for what they're known.
@re7ard1337 actually yeah I can believe that I mean this isn't my favorite song by them but it's good. O and did he like it at first or just playing it a million times kinda make him not like it.
No, it's a song in general for those of us who at one point were made to feel like a creep/weirdo regardless of how you actually look. In the end, it's not so much about being ugly but simply not being able to measure up to that person we hold so dear, not being worthy enough.
It's weird seeing the modern day Radiohead performing Creep. They are sooooo far beyond this song now it's unreal. Kinda like asking Picasso at the height of his creativity to recreate a doodle he did as a child. Still, great performance and good to see they actually put the effort in.
@ABoyInTheBush No it's not, Pablo Honey was about guitar riffs and catchy beats. After Kid A they have become a much more experimental and outgoing band.
Lovely performance! So what if Yorke's voice is not as high as it once was? You don't expect after 16 years of recordings and live gigs that his voice will deliver the same way it used to in 1993, did ya? Doesn't take way from what a great job they did on this one. This is the best live version of Creep I've seen them do considering this was very much late in the 2000's.
this was the very first song I heard from Radiohead, and that was over 13 years ago. I love it so much, but since then ... I can not tell which Radiohead song is my favourite because they're all so f***ing amazing. Did they actually _not_ play that song for a while on their concerts because they didn't like it?
Funny how Radiohead fans generally fall into those two distinct camps. Personally I'm a massive Radiohead fan but only really up and including Kid A, after that I can take it or leave it tbh. With every new album I have hope in my heart of a return to a more traditional early Radiohead sounds with less electronics and more guitars, I've about given up hope now though.
this has even more mellower mood than when they recorded it.Its like a different version of creep, like after years of making other songs,i t seems as if this version song has settled the score for how they feel.
My theory is that Hardcore Fans "hate" this song because Thom at one point he said He hated this song, and probably was the worst song they had... I think people just want to fit, or be like "yea i want to be like thom and i hate this song to"
I am a fan of Radioheads music but only from OK Computer onwards. I used to see them play live on the gig and festival circuit pre OK Computer but it just did nothing for me then.
Well okay there's thousands of fans there and they all know the words and they're all singing along. So maybe it's only cool to hate the song when you're talking about Radiohead but at the concert it's okay again because the band likes it again.
C'mon Thom, jump around, hold the mic out to the crowd, yell at them to sing louder, stop mumbling, smile, take some cues from Jagger, Daltrey, Freddie Mercury, Springsteen, Diamond Dave Roth, Joey Ramone, Bono, Steven Page, Chris Martin, Mike Love, etc...PLAY FRONTMAN and have FUN!!!
Hardcore Radiohead Fan here, all you pretentious assholes who can't enjoy this masterpiece because its popular, your loss. This performance is special, every performance is special because Yorke will always put so much emotion into every lyric!!!
@callummj6747 I don't like it, not because it's popular, but because of the song itself. It's miles away from everything they did after Pablo Honey, and it's not because of how popular the song is. The popularity only adds to how I already feel about the song, and that's the same for most Radiohead fans.
While The Bends may have a similar style, it's much better musically but especially lyrically. It sounds less derivative, and it's an album that actually influenced others.
I think Thom didn't his best at this concert. The performing of this song wasn't as good as it was in 1994, for example. Even now I like the song, and the band.
@ChablesMan luckily I dont have to worry about that. because im fifteen and live in a small town where all they listin to is pop and heavy metal. I have no friends really. but at least i can enjoy my music right? :)
@coolappsful Absolutely. I never heard this song growing up, actually. I listened to mostly classic rock stations and jazz when I was growing up, so Creep, for me personally, remains "untainted," which is probably a good reason I can enjoy it so much easier than most other people.
i hate though when I say to people that Radiohead are my favourite band and they automatically associate this song as it's like the only thing they've ever done. But it's still a great song.
I just watched 40 or so Radiohead performances of Creep in the chronological (kinda) order.Watching Thom's approach to the song throughout these years is something unbelievable. At some points he grows tired of it,sometimes he rocks the hell out of it,sometimes he changes the length of the "ruuuuuun" scream, sometimes he is disgusted by it.Many faces of Thom Yorke in one song, many fucking emotions in this beautiful human being
Man!!! What is this feeling???? At 3:28!!! That's why I love music: it gives you feelings in one second. It happens more often when I listen to Radiohead.
I love how hardcore Radiohead fans pretend to hate this song when It is absolutely amazing. There's nothing wrong with secretly loving even the most overplayed hits of a band, just sing along like you know you want to.
@dafaton3 I consider myself a hardcore fan, and I ADORE this song. I just get annoyed at my friends who think this is the only song Radiohead has ever released.
I agree mate. At some point I almost fell into that "trap" too. Creep might not be as "intelligent" as songs from the OK computer and on era but it still gives me the chills. Actually it might do this more than any other of their songs.
@dafaton3 yes yes finally someone says that...for me its the lyrics..the people on this world seem to love to make your feel like a creep and a weirdo and when I was in high school I felt like that a lot cuz other kids are assholes ... and this song got me through it...so as much as they or anyone hates it, it kept me alive...actually I saw them in 2003 for the hail to the thief tour they played creep right in the middle of there set and everyone around me gasped and a started screaming..
@dafaton3 this song is 2 beautiful! the lyrics everything! my brother cries listenin 2 it! dunt know why!! but every1 lykes different things!!!! every 1 havv a different choice so maybe they hate this song bzoc of their choice!!! am i rite ?? but anyway if sum1 hates dats bad!
@dafaton3 i feel that the rejection for this song came from the fact that it speaks for the ugly, fat and unpopular kids but was sung by the exact opposite: beautiful, popular trendy kids just beacuse it has a catchy melody . Same for wheres my mind? by the pixies. I guess at the end it just goes to show you hiw miserable those kids felt really.
Hi Werzuhun, thanks for your comment. A few years back I was completely unfamiliar with Radiohead. i can relate, that part is a bitch to sing
i hate though when I say to people that Radiohead are my favourite band and they automatically associate this song as it's like the only thing they've ever done.

@dafaton3 Exactly. There's a reason it always gets the biggest cheer of the night.

@dafaton3 without this song, "hardcore fans" will never know Radiohead (opinion)
