  • Excellent performance, it is encouraging procedure.

I performed 3 cases so far, with excellent recovery, and tolerance.

The main concern is the durability of the weight loss, we have to see more data with the time>

Thank you for posting this nice video

  • good job!

  • I have two lap bands the Swedish And French Lap Bands both slipped and failed so now removed. It was suggested that I have the gastric sleeve but do not like the idea of having most of my stomach removed forever. I am also insulin resistant and I was wondering if this procedure would work for me, I like the idea of having your stomach. Any feedback welcome.

  • ANY weight loss surgery CAN fail if the patient's head is not in the right place. Head hunger and habitual eating when not hungry is the cause for failed weight loss surgeries. No so much as the type of surgery done. I know this, because I have friends who have had gastric bypass and also the sleeve and are having issues with weight gain due to not controlling those yearnings for the wrong kinds of foods especially at the wrong times. I am a lap band patient, but currently pregnant.

  • Cool video!!

    That helps A LOT :D

  • By now we have the experience of 9 cases. All patients are doing well. Only one of them has heartburn. The very concept of this surgery is very interesting. It is not clear how to determine the degree of tightness of the tube. We had to reoperate two patients in 2 and 4 days after the primary surgery due to complete obstruction. By the way, the superficial running suture was removed easily, no adhesions between two walls of the stomach were found (only serous fluid). Now the patients are OK.

  • glad you enjoyed it. If you have any questions call my office at 801-746-2885 and talk to sandee.

  • Great video!!! Thank you for posting this procedure on the internet. 25 patients have had this procedure at Hospital Angeles Tijuana - the surgeons report very high satisfaction with the outcome of the procedure - weight loss comparable to gastric bypass, no bleeding on the staple line, no leaks as found with VSG.

  • Reversible? Are you kidding? That devascularized serosa will stick to itself permanently within a few days.

  • This looks to be much better option than lap band, however you don't get the benifit of ghrelin reduction like a VSG. Still it is a great option I would recomend far over the band.
