  • wow....he is playin an epiphone...

  • @Parabola001 so?whats up with epiphone?

  • @Dark6Blood9 nothing, i love epis, but it sounds so awesome that i could swear he is playing a gibson.

  • I know its his style, but I feel he'd sound so much better without Wah in EVERY DAMN SOLO. Please dont be like like Kirk

  • Sorry Zakk, but diminished scales just aren't you forte. Leave diminished stuff to guys like Jeff Loomis and the better jazz players.

  • If Zakk came to the South, that guitar body would be full of bullet holes.

  • yeah i hate this solo. its just so off beat and stuff..

  • Nothing like Farewell balade...!!

  • i loved that zakk's version without wah in every solo

miss no rest for the wicked / no more tears years...

  • its a shame that we can see these vids for free we should pay hundreds to watch this video

  • I came to revise the offence of diminished responsibility for my law exam, and found this

  • @assassingh10 haha the wonderful world of youtube

  • i like it for like 2 songs he is the same whit every song

  • I love how everyone who comments on vids of iconic guitarists and nomatter what they play, it's immediatley, "OMG I just SHIT a brick, I'm throwing my guitar away". Especially when people like Zakk are just playing basic pentatonic shapes and variations with little accuracy or articulation. What I'm saying is, anything can be acheived by practice. (especially anything every written by Zakk Wylde)

  • @NeoMetalx That's very true. Practice, dedication. Not everyone takes it to extremes. Guys like Zakk are in a position where they play the way they want to. It isn't difficult, but to those who do not play or play well it looks way beyond them. So I understand their perspective, but I just am not wowed by speed anymore. As I progressed things that seemed fast became slower and slower to me when I listened to them.

  • Fuck it's too short :@

  • look how he bends the fucking string at 0:35!!! jesus!!! i know i knooow it is not something difficult and amazing but feel the energy!!!

  • @MusicMan44144 because he uses strings with such a low guage, that isn't very difficult to do...

  • @NeoMetalx oh!!! thanks i didn't know that!! do you know if these are easy to break?

  • @MusicMan44144 No, they are alot easier to bend because they are not as thick. String should really never break..

  • vikings are the best guitarists

  • hola

  • It's so strange that sound coming from the neck pickup. It really sounds like the bridge pickup acting, not the neck one.

  • He owes me a new pair of pants

  • mother of god..........

  • this video shows off his trademark diminished sound and people are still talking bout not being technical enough, and how he only uses pentatonic, he does it so he doesn't sellout like Metallica or something, he does it for all of us he were there from the beginning and he, like us remains hardcore, i have seen vids of him doing some fucking crazy stuff out of his usual style, and to be honest, if it aint pentatonics, violent vibratos, diminishing shapes and a shit load of wah, it aint Zakk SDMF

  • bonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerbonerboner..

  • his "broken" right hand in the friedman's style makes the pick very angled.

    It has typical smooth attacks.

  • i'm very proud to have his signature epiphone les paul..

  • it'd be nice to actually hear a diminished sound longer than the first five seconds....same old pinto's

  • @exyle0 the majority of the clips are about double the length of this one if not more, just look at their videos. Few are below a minute long. The playing doesn't start until 13 seconds in this

No I wouldn't say the same about Guthrie's Clips because he can actually play creatively. It would be a challenge to find regularly repeated in his playing. Zakk's would be hard not to find repetition.

There is no snobbery, just a factual observation. I even pointed out the things i liked about him.

  • @TheMillarMusic I agree entirely. Who wants to spend money on a clip of ZAKK WYLDE playing the same thing over and over again when you can just watch him play it the first time and rewind...

  • @TheMillarMusic hahahaha since posting this all my videos have received a thumbs down.....lol at fan boys

  • @TheMillarMusic A lot of his stuff is that way, but have you ever seen videos of him just jamming around. The dude can play anything from classical to country picken and so on. I think he sticks to what he does best because that is just his style.

  • @brfishad I haven't seen any of the videos you have mentioned so I can't pass comment on that. I have seen Zakk in a clinic in which he played for well over 40 mins and not once did he play anything other than what he plays in the video above.

I see your point and agree that it is his style but I think doing videos like this leaves him wide open to being critiqued. It is meant to showcase what he would do over this backing track and he doesn't do any classical or country style over it.

  • @TheMillarMusic i think i might be the only person to agree with you. yes his playing is a bit... predictable and yes its mostly in the pentatonic scale. but, its still amazing to hear, and he is still highly regarded on the world of music. so what if his playing is still predictable, or repetitive. it doesnt change the fact that he is amazing guitar play, and an amazing musician.

  • @TheMillarMusic you should check his "audition for ozzy tapes"... there you can see what he could play 20+ years ago... and than think why the guys sticks to pentatonics so much... he just love it, and i undertand that, because i love it to... i know (as he does) hes not the fastest, and no, hes not the most technical player (he recognizes guys like paco de lucia, malmsteen and so...), but the heart wants what the heart wants, aint that so? you like it or not, dont try to change it...

  • @TheMillarMusic

Well he's making millions...and you're not...so he must be doing something right. Your videos didn't show off your skills enough to compare to...you do play well..and with some emotion...but I would like to see you do a few of his songs...and see how well you do, otherwise...you're just talking trash.

  • @hehawkiller Well if you are basing a musicians quality on how much money they make then I simply don't recognise that argument.

I'm more than half Zakks age. If I'm playing the same licks I am now in 20 years then I guess it would be a fair comparison.

But thank you very much for the compliments on my playing.

  • @TheMillarMusic

I love your gibby as well...i didn't mean to come across rude...i was having a bad moment at that time and guess i came across rude.

I would like to see more vids of your playing though. What style do like to play most?

  • @hehawkiller No no, I can't take offense at people being loyal to the players they love. Thats what its all about.

As a guitar player I am really into fusion kind of stuff atm. Guthrie Govan is my hero so....but I find the best challenge playing in a band and singing. It's totally different skill playing and singing at same time. Have alot of respect for people who can do it well.

  • @TheMillarMusic

Lol...although I do like and admire some of Zakk's music, i'm not a die hard loyal fan of his, others I like include Satriani, Stevens, and a few others...but i would not say i'm loyal to any one person...they all have awsome talent that puts me to shame, lol. As far as the playing/singing...I know what you mean, some songs I can do it...but most I can't...that is talent.

  • @TheMillarMusic I agree with you 100%

  • @TheMillarMusic the camera would also probably blow up...

  • @TheMillarMusic then who is the best guitarist?

  • @xbatman1x do you really expect me to answer that question?

  • @TheMillarMusic I agree. But he does bring some interesting things to the table, such as some country based licks. IMO, he's much more viable than other similar sounding guitarists such as K.K. or Dimebag.

  • @TheMillarMusic hey dude I only have 2 words for you: Warren Haynes

  • Zakk Wylde is an awful guitar player guys. Let's just leave it at that. This is diminished by the way. Just really bad. Ozzy has always sucked IMO. His voice is one of the worst I've ever heard.

  • I tried to buy some of the jam tracks. It took me to pay pal which wouldn't accept my credit card. All the info was correct & everything. Sad.

  • @greatvanzinni

We are very sorry to read that you could not finalize your purchase with us. Paypal does accept credit cards so all I can assume is that 'gremlins' got involved. If you would like to send us a private message with your email address we'll happily send you some goodwill gesture stuff. Apologies once again!

  • @greatvanzinni you can get all six jams for free at jamtrackcentral dotcom. lets see how quick bluesjam takes my comment down after learning the original copyright holders are giving it away lol =]

  • Zakk Wylde does not deserve to be on blues jam tracks

  • @MiKill93 another idiot around here....

  • @mturquie

Oh am I the idiot? I didn't know that Zakk Wylde was on the same level as great fusion improve guitarist Guthrie Govan. Let me ask you this, did you even know about bluesjamtracks before you youtube searched Zakk Wylde videos to prematurely beat your dick to? Go fuck yourself dude, Wylde knows jack shit about music theory or the knowledge needed to play a decent blues solo in style.

  • @MiKill93 hahaha!!! A decent blues solo? Well, fisrt of all he is not a blues player. He uses lots of blues licks and mix them with country, bluegrass and rock licks... then he has a mind blowing solo. I know this guy since he strated to play with Ozzy in 1989, therefore, I KNOW him because of all the GREATNESS he's done! not because I just searched for "Zakk Wylde" on youtube and this was the very fisrt thing I heard. I have all his CDs w/ BLS, w/ Ozz and his solo material.

  • @mturquie

Oh horse shit. Since when in this video (Or any of his shitty solos) has he incorporated country or bluegrass licks? You obviously know NOTHING about music in its entirety. The only thing I see in this video is out of tune and un-rhythmic vibratos, and sloppy repeated licks. None of which are in the style of country or bluegrass and not even blues. He is indeed using the blues pentatonic scale but in no way is he making the effort to use feeling to make it sound like blues.

  • @MiKill93 Well, YOU are the one who haven't heard his solos... He doesn't use bluegras and country licks??? Fuck me!!!!! Listen to fucking Farm Fiddlin!!!!!!! It's pure chicken picking!!!! It's all country and blugrass you asshole!! Listen to the solo of "I Don't Want To Change The World" by Ozzy Osbourne, listen to fucking Pride ang Glory (his band in 1994). Cry Me a Rivr, Harvester Of Pain, HATE YOUR GUTS, Losing your mind, Troubled Wine, Toe'n The Line! FUCKING HELL!!!!!

  • @MiKill93 You are so DAMN stupid and ignorat!!!! Fuck me!!!!!

  • @mturquie

Grow up dude. You're either a 12 year old or some 40 year old who acts like one. Out of all the musical geniuses this world has to offer, you decide to worship some hick cunt. Get a fucking life or at least a job and stop wasting your time arguing with people that know better than you on youtube.

  • @MiKill93 Yeh sure... At least you are right in one thing... I should stop arguing with cunts who think they are the greatests connoisseur of music on youtube. It's so fucking stupid.

Hahaha Ozzy went to shit when Randy died.... ok dude!!!! whatever YOU say!!!!!

  • @mturquie

Wow, you are so good at reading cause that's exactly what I said. It takes real intelligence to act like child and twist my words around into something I obviously didn't say. You know, if you like Zakk Wylde so much why don't you just jizz all over his dried out beard. And btw, don't you even know Ozzy fired Wylde's ass not to long ago?

  • @MiKill93 -.-.... of course I know it! He was replaced by Gus G... an ordinary guitarist.

And don't waste your time replying this comment cause I won't answer back... this is turning into a stupid and boring debate so I prefer to waste my time in other things. I truly don't give a fuck if you like or not Zakk or Ozzy.... that's your fucking problem, not mine!

  • @mturquie

Looks like I win. Zakk Wylde is a terrible guitarist. And btw, you fucking started this debate.

  • @mturquie

And btw, Ozzy went to shit when Randy Rhoads died.

  • @MiKill93

The music sure did. Lol I can't say went to shit, but it dropped from heaven that's for sure. I know every song off the first two albums, RR was the first guitarist to get me into "shredding". I know more Jake E. Lee songs by Ozzy than Wylde... his style is so cliche it kills me. I am 20, so my opinion is biased by the copycats, but Wylde will never have the RR soul that made Ozzy's music so... Ozzy! With who did he get so crazy that he capped a bat? Not Wylde

  • @arsguitarrica

Thanks for sharing an educated opinion unlike Mturquie over here. Sorry if I'm pissing off Zakk Wylde fans who aren't shitheads, but talking to this guy is making me hate him more every second.

  • Comment removed

  • not music.

  • @dspreis what an asshole... go and listen to your shitty emo music then

  • beast

  • Zakk is an awesome guitar player, love him to death, but this guitar tone is just awful.

  • @GeeFunk84 Holy shit!!! Are you serious?!?!?!?!?!?! It is fucking amazing!!!!! Its the tone of Doom!!!!!

  • @GeeFunk84 Or perhaps it was intentional and he knows what he's doing...

  • Why 6 Dislikes? People Whats wrong with you?!?!

  • AW*YEAH!!!!!!!

  • i love wyldes vibrato...Its so...VIOLENT

  • @TheWhocares233 That dude just rips man... Kinda reminds me of Yngwie in that respect where they just have this aggressive attack happening

  • why does everyone seem to dislike Zakk Wylde? It's obvious he can play very good

  • why would blues jam tracks go from alex hutchings to this cookie cutter... i have heard penatonic shreding all my fucking life... i wanna hear some guthrie dammit, not the sAME ol' penatonic cheese ...

  • Great shredding! The way he does his vibrato reminds me of Steve Morse.

  • @VLombardi01 WTF? Maybe in some alternate universe. The vibratos are totally different from each other. You need to go listen to Morse again..........and quickly.

  • @rouschno1 Both guitar players are different styles But what I mean is that they both use it very powerfully. Some players are very wimpy it that area. listen to Steve playing Simple Simon live. Your channel has great guitar stuff in it . Is that you playing?

  • @VLombardi01 Fair enough, I can agree with that. Good vibratos add a ton to the songs, and without it, it seems like the song lacks in feel somewhat. Wimpy, that is a perfect way to describe certain vibratos. Thanks for checking out my stuff. Hope you liked the pictures. Those are also some of my songs. Thankyou. I am definately one who needs to work on getting a good vibrato. See ya

  • For a minute I thought "how on earth will he cover this?" (the Holdsworth/Beck "diminished Responsibility").

    Haha cleary a title lift.

  • God, he really is an amazing player. SDMF!
