i remember when i was little , me and my brother would go rent alot of horror movies and buy ALL the junk food we could , lol . some time's , they'd even have some stuffed animal's and i'd get one (:

@SpookyKonMousie Blockbuster started with VHS [Videocasette] sales and rentals. VHS was replaced by DVD. Blockbuster cannot compete in the DVD market with Super Stores selling DVDs cheaply. Now the DVD format is on the decline due to TV's "Video on demand" and smart phones. You can now watch a movie without all the hassle of leaving your special area -- home, car, property. .

I usually don't like commercials and find them annoying, but this particular line of Blockbuster commercials were a special exception. I really liked the ones with Carl and Ray. It's too bad they don't make these commercials anymore. BTW I noticed the one with the mouse isn't in here.

It's upsetting to me that I missed the "Mouse" commercial. It aired near the end of the series, and, oddly, not as many times as the other Carl and Ray commercials. I could never catch the whole commercial, always catching half of it. Frustrating. So I left it out. Sorry.

Not sure why the commercials stopped. They were popular and very well done. Perhaps production cost halted the commercials.
