  • 1. seemed very authoritive without being overly dominant. Wanted to create a connection with other person & draw them in to what they're saying. though she does shake her head in contrast to what she's saying

    2. very aggresive and dominating, a lot of tension (annoying lol)

    3. Very confident, self-assured, dominant

    4. confident, authorative, inviting and open to audience

    5. nervous, is comforting self by rubbing fingers, tense shoulders, blushing, poor eye contact, feels vulnerable shy

  • The answer file is deleted booo

  • The results file has been deleted!!!! Ahhh, I spent forever on that thing!

  • 1. Reminds me of the Joker in The Dark Knight.

    2. Aggressive "palm-punching", and then he just keeps coming and coming.

    3. No eye contact with the "audience". While the hand movements make him seem slightly more believable, he is more tiring to listen than the others.

    4. Steve Jobs. Not a fan, but he wins this round.

    5. Incredibly nervous, fingering his wedding ring.

Also, I'm watching this for a university course, not an internet test.

    Stock market, here I come!

  • just keep cumming and cumming and cumming and cumming lol

  • Peter Brabeck, in my opinion is not being truthful!

  • You're an asshole to post this and not have the answers....the download is bogus. You suck!

  • when you created that questionaire, how did you "set" the answers? How can you say that only one of them (sometimes 2) is right?

  • @deLord1337 i completely agree, the question "which of these is an anxiety que" for example was horrific... all of them were potential anxiety ques.

  • The cameraman is obviously baked

  • The test is an advertisement for internet service, dont waste your time watching or filing out the test!!!! BEWARE!!!

  • @unpescad0 Maybe you just don't know how to download it. I got the answers alright

  • @sansastark how and where did you get the answers?

  • Ok, I guess I'm retarded because I don't see a difference in any of these people other than the fact that some talk more with their hands than others.

  • coming and coming and coming and coming

  • this was annoying.....and that guy omg

  • The Hewlett Packard CEO (Carly Fiorina) look a little too scripted as if she is responding from a set of recommendations laid out by a coach. I think I've seen a lot of other people who behave 99% like her, as if people like her come out of a production line. Very propagandistic and ungenuine... I prefer the other people.

  • How can I get the answers? I tried but it doesn't work...could you maybe e-mail me the answers? I need it for a training which I am making..

    Kind regards,

    Michelle

  • How can I get the answers? I tried but it doesn't work...could you maybe e-mail me the answers? I need it for a training which I am making..

  • i forgot what the video is about as i swa the apple man

  • Where is your spreadsheet so i can view my answers?

  • what a load of wank!

  • First woman = there r lots of points but i will discuss few of them \

    Cross legs Needs distance

    Hands shows some Right information

Hands usually lays on Laps she is trying to run away

head usually goes negative as she does not have complete information

in last she says " We planned them systemically" here she goes Lie by pulling her left shoulder little up.

    Mr. Steve

This is a complete speech he have tried to memorize but some time he forgets it he is trying to hide his emotions.

  • to learn boy language in full go to my site evolutionofbodylanguage(dot)com I think it covers everything or if you have a questions not answer just ask me ill try find out

  • i think self expressions represent our persona and how we're feeling at the moment, our body expressions also show how secure, insecure, how much we believe what we're saying and how much we really understand it, it also represents our personality and work ethic we might have in our personal everyday life.

  • Arghh, I cant download the answers!

  • The lady behind Richard Branson seemed to either dislike him, or what he was saying, Id like to interwiew her about the subject

  • The Microsoft dude was way out of his depth and is shooting from the hip in terms of his overview. No preparation and limited understanding.

  • o piss of you smarmy cunt

  • I got 15 :/

  • @blootyalex how did u get the answers?

  • The 2nd person tries to show himself very confident by making all these gestures with his hands and hitting one to each other, plus, you can see he never shows the palms of his hands so he seems to be putting an act to persuade others into what he's saying. His voice gets deeper when he repeats words wich indicates he's REALLY trying to make others buy into what he's saying and he keeps on swinging back and forth wich indicates that maybe he's nervous.

  • @mrtemper85

Wow, where can someone learn this stuff? Thanks

  • @sandharbasant just check out videos on youtube, there are many around that will give you a clue to understand what people aren't saying to you :D

  • @mrtemper85 well of course hes nervous he's on national television stupid

  • @WALKUREX no need to use violent words, shithead

  • Comment removed

  • @mrtemper85 stupid means that you're mentally inept; it has nothing to do with violence you fucking moron. PS you're mother is a whore.

  • @WALKUREX u have anger issues.

  • @BrisbaneMile you have interpretation issues. ps your dad has a gay relationship with your uncle

  • Your answers are too limited mate. Their body language tells volumes more than a simple A, B, C, or D answer.

And your questionnaire is broken. There are questions where no answer is correct, and questions where more than one answer is correct.

  • @TwoScrewsLoose yepppp you are correct.

  • this blows!

  • @thedarkriver1 yeah, it does.

  • Great work.I really enjoyed the whole thing, eventhough my answers were not as good as i thought firsr! I'v learned allot to.Got anymore??

  • Upload it to rapidshare please

  • I couldn't download the answers!!!!

I tried the first time and I got some weird file and trying the 2nd time I have to wait 18 minutes!!!! Why not post the doc at google docs?!?!

  • i got 17 :)

  • A basic principle in forensics is that a gesture by itself is not directly interpretable, the pattern is. One may raise his eyebrows when lying while another when bored. You have to evaluate his patterns to figure out what space he's in mentally. In the lie detector test, you have the control set of questions. Bear in mind though that strong emotional are pretty similar to deceptive patterns in most people. The difference between anxiety and lying may be hard to discern even for a trained eye.

  • The best video is Richard because you see him pacifying himself continuously really showing that he's nervous. You noticed that after a while he's getting a bit more comfortable. What I noticed the most were his shoulders, I assume the exit (or his place) is on the right of him because that right shoulder is drawn to there as if he wants to walk away.

  • I would like to use the video and questionnaire in the course that I teach.

would you mind if I used it? Also, I can't access the results.

  • Steve Jobs did a few basic body language tells. the holding elbow and pursed lips when he said they could not offer the 3.0 GHZ. this usually is a sign of lying, not completely answering a question (we see as he later described the transition to Intel). Nonetheless to be able to read body language efficiently you must analyze the clusters, not individual signs. In my opinion, Richard and the CEO could be read because of the cluster. These are highly trained professionals, they rarely slip up.

  • @pietybird8 sorry *richard and the first ceo

  • I have a question for those who are more advanced at the studies of NLP. I'm a helper of lawyer, I do volunteer work helping people to solve their juridical problems. As you know, if you don't speak the whole true to a lawyer, you will make his job a lot harder. In this case, I notice that usually, when affirming something, my clients tend to rise up their eyebrows and speak in a good voice tone. Should I interpret that as a signal of truth?

  • @CRTVBR as far as i understand rising the eyebrows is a sign of not being completelly honest... just like the very well known vid of Clinton saying "I did not have sex with that woman".. where the person is looking at (right or left side) tells also if they are creating what they are saying or if they are saying something they remember .... Paul Ekman trains people in that matter ...google it ..

  • @raynaharris That's not quiet right. Raising the eyebrows can mean anything from being amazed, to being scared. It depends on the mouth+nose and also the context of the story. There's no single tell tale sign for being dishonest.

  • @CRTVBR Often when people do that, it means that what they state is very important for you to hear and crasp. Basically the raising of the eyebrows suggest a question: "Do you understand me?!"

Whether it's the honest truth or something that he wants you to think it's the truth can't be deduced from this. All it suggest that you need to understand that statement for it is important either for him or for you (or both).

  • @CRTVBR It should be a signal for you to probe further. This is the reaction you would expect if someone was worried about being asked something they dont want to disclose but it could also be a consern on their part that you are not fully understanding or believing what they say. You need to look at the body language in total. Where are their hands, have they touched their neck, face. Which direction are they looking when they recount, and do the body gestures match the words.

  • More body language clips on my account Phippserooni

  • who the hell is holding the camera!!!

  • @MrOsoto83 a baby

  • @MrOsoto83 parkinson

  • I prefered the Nestle guy. Steve Jobs was annoying and seemed anxious and stressed.

  • si ponen subtitulos avisenmen respondiendo mi comentario

  • please, you can subtitulos in spanish?

por favor,¿serian tan amables de poner subtitulos en español?gracias

    thank you

  • please, can you just learn ENGLISH?

  • do you speak any language beside ENGLISH?

  • of course he doesn´t, a person who speaks more than one language would not be as stupid as coming back with that.

  • as trip says I bet u dont speak any other languages like 80% of americans who think of theirselves as a superior race why should he learn ENGLISH, why dont u learn spanish and help him instead of being an ass hole and yes I maybe have some typos or mispronunciation and thats cuz im latin and im proud of it... stupid xenophobic asswipes...

  • I disagree with some of the answer to the questionnaire, as well as how some of the questions were worded, but I really appreciate that someone is using the Internet to genuinely get people to think.

I was surprised to have gotten so many of the questions correct. I don't consider myself an expert, or even competent in reading body language.

  • Jobs big underlying/illustrative gestures were made AWAY from the audience - lack of conviction!

  • how do you find your results??

  • i think that the form we fill out after watching the film should allow general comments.

  • good test for body language

Microsoft CEO- was really aggressive, the man on the left side of the video was completely leaning away from him with legs under chair, ballmer only showed insecurity few times

Steve Jobs had used a soothing technique making him look weak at times, but also used hands behind back shows confidence

nestle old guy always used steeple position making him look confidant all the time, dressed far better then others

last guy was a wreck in my view and u probably saw why

  • carleton fiorina-she doesn't believe in her own words but in the same time she want us to believe her and very arrogant person

steve ballmer-extremely aggressive but in the same time very insecure, very defensible person

peter brabeck-uh he is so frustrating with the topic of conversation in the same time very confident in his own words

  • jobs' constant pushing up of his sleeves showed weakness and lack of confidence imho. i think hands behind the back actually shows hiding something.

  • I wish the results were explained thoroughly.

  • how do you find your results, it just says they will be on my spreadsheet.

  • I thought the chairman of Nestle was the best, but I have a pretty heavy background in science so it may have been my personal interest in the subject.

Seriously though, Balmer [sp?] does not act at all like I would expect of a CEO. Clearly he delivers results though. I wonder if his aggressive and intimidating attitude would work if he was a smaller man??? Would his attitude trump his small stature?

  • this is very interesting..

but i disagree of some of the analysis..

  • Steve jobs NVC was the best among the five...

  • I'm very good at interpreting body language..

  • I don't know their fucking names, why put their names on the fucking test?

  • I really like the video and questionnaire. I am teaching an online course for school principals on Communications. I would like to link to your video in my course and have them complete the questionnaire. I anticipate about 50 students per year in the course. Would you grant permission for this activity to become an activity in my course?

  • both the first and second ceo's don't believe a word they're saying, the woman is shaking her head through everything she says, and the microsoft ceo is trying to put himself in the least amount of space as humanly possible -- both signals of lying, 5th guys is stutering, backing up and playing with his hands, he doesn't give a crap.

  • when steve jobs on 6:54 quoths "didnt we just get through from OS 9 to OS 10" he placed emphasis on the 2 models and his gesticulation of his hands lowered from 9 to 10 lol

  • It is very obvious that the cameraman is overshoting 1:34 exagerating its shaking. Why do you think so ?

  • steve jobs shakes his head slightly when he's saying about bringing us new better products, which he didnt really belive.

However, he has, and i now love apple products after using them in school a lot.

  • I just think he wasn't comfortable with the idea of giving up on his original ambition. But he was completely sure of everything he said.. and right, for that matter.

  • damn!

steve jobs hates customers, cuz when he starts talking about them he puts he's sleeves up

    not good at all!!

  • isit. i feel that he jus felt nervous

  • I agree, he also places his hands together and puts them over his groin. He seems to get more comfortable as he goes on but I'd definitely say the pulling up sleeve action is just a way to create an anxiety induced barrier.

  • no, pulling your sleeves up is an agressive handling

but the anger probable isn't directly to the customers but the selling-numbers might be very low

and because of that he could unconsciousy be agressive towards them

  • i saw a big amount of stuff, but the one wich i think is the funniest is de blinking with the eyes [1:34] rapidly, wich means she's having sexually thought's :p

  • Or you're reading the blinking eyes wrong. That is just a brushstroke on a painting. Look at the whole painting to see what its about.

  • I did the questionnaire and checked the answers. About Ballmer, I think it's obvious that he has anger.

For the first lady, I really don't know how to tell that her smiles are mostly fake, I feel she's sincere.

For steve jobs, I don't know why the answer is HE COULD BE UR BEST FRIEND. I feel his speech is very normal and ordinary, a little bit casual.

  • i nearly fell asleep

  • "We just keep coming and coming and coming and coming and coming, the bone doesn't fall out of our mouth"

...lol. It's funny how each time Steve "comes", he throws his fist at the screen. He also bites his knuckles when referring to a "bone" in his mouth. Wow.

  • I don't have enough time to fully analyze this whole piece but here are a few starters to look at for those of you wanting to learn. This is only for the first segment. 1. Watch for her head shakes throughout the segment. Head shaking usually means you are in disagreement. When we shake our head no when it normally is not called for we are in disagreement with what is being said by someone else or even ourselves i.e. shaking your head and saying yes. {0:30} expands hands to signify growth.

  • {0:34} gestures clapping which shows her excitement or appreciation {0:45} moves hands inward to signify compaction. As if what is needing to be done is to compact her company. {1:28} After interviewer ask first question she answers with micro expressions of anger and disgust. Try watching this part while muted. Recognize this look? To me it portraits what a mother would look like while upset with her child for going to the wrong place without her permission.

  • She points in one direction and shakes her head followed by pointing to herself and then in another direction and nods her head in acceptance. She regurgitates this by reemphasizing her point nonverbally by gesturing back into herself and back out after she makes her point. {2:26} shows signs of disgust after discussing cultural key differences then states pretty much we arent going to deal with those in a polite manner. [2:33] reinforces my previous thoughts by

  • saying, were going to examine them [head nods] were going to leverage them [thrust head forward to signify emphasis then comes over the top and straight down. If her head was a hammer and cultural differences were the nail shed almost beat the nail down till it no longer was visible] and were going to talk about them [in sync with an ugh, well I dont know about that head gesture]. {2:40} at end unconsciously shrugs shoulders to represent uncertainty with what she is saying.

  • don't take the test, it doesn't even tell you ur results

  • sure would like to see the question sheet and with the right answers

  • back 2 madonna

  • The first lady continuously shook her head back and forth, indicating that she didn't believe what she was saying.

Ballmer... finger placement shows he was angry at something/someone. He's also angry and disgusted.

i'm bored so i'll leave the rest 4 later.

  • i think the woman is sure of herself. She knows what shes talking about, she dosent look away from his eyes to think, and she puts forceful movements thru her hands. His position and eye gaze suggests that he somewhat disagrees.

  • The microsoft guy was rocking slightly. He needed confort. He is also a closed person and wasn't comfortable on stage.

  • Steve Jobs Never Lies. That one is easy

  • The first woman almost constantly shakes her head in a "NO" motion; this indicates the speaker subconsciously disagrees with what she is saying. When asked to elaborate on a particular point - responding to cultural changes - she is caught off guard, and begins blinking rapidly, showing a struggle to fabricate a quick answer. she then makes gestures with her left hand while answering, which indicates activity in the 'right brain'-the creative side. this side controls the left side of the body.

  • I like the analysis.

From what I saw, from my premature body language skills, she is the born politician. She embelishes on points and tries to create strong, long, answers so they can be rather difficult to question. How she sits can show that she is rather defensive towards questioning, so talking is the key. Her direct eye contact shows some fire and knowledge in her subject.

From what I saw, she is comfortable when she knows the subject or has been informed on it.

  • @nateoryan Do you have any ideas for where i can learn this properly please?

  • @nateoryan She also showed a tremendous amount of anxiety, you'd think she was on trial.

  • @spartacandream I also believe that anxiety came from the fact that she was addressing a guy who seemed extremely dismissive, quiet, reserved, and had on all black. He didn't seem that open when interviewing her - it almost look like an interrogation beside the setting.

  • @nateoryan Does being left or right handed change the direction in which they look and motion when recalling or creating a memory?

  • @mrfrillows yes, being a leftie reverses the chart

  • @nateoryan omg i notice this with some1 i kno who always tells me stupid things i think are lies.

  • i can give you answer:

first one: it is a female so it's harder to read her. I'll leave her out.

Second one: Agressive, Pit-bull-like. If you challenge this guy he will fight you and talk with you after he f'ed you up.

third one: Thinks of himself as a "wise-guy". He think he knows it all and probably isnt very good at taking inputs.

fourth one: Confident, alpha-male, and good story teller. He would pick up ladies with ease in a bar.

Last one: Insecure. The complete opposite of number four.

  • lol, i agree about the second one, during his speech he was always punching the air :p

  • good exercise

  • pls post the answers!!!!

  • Where's the questionaire?

  • read the description to the right of the video

  • Hi Anaconda, very interesting! I would love to show this video in class tomorrow, but I can only do so if I have the answers. No luck downloading. Can you please (!) send me the answers? Thank you.

  • could you also send me the answers Anaconda?

  • Interesting approach, using a video and questionaire. I thought the questions were interesting. I'd really like to see the answers to the quiz but I don't feel comfortable downloading them from that site (it looks really shady). Good luck!

  • hey how can I know my result? I don`t wanna pay for registering to download.. can you send me an email please, Moldova Republic of

    badiceanu
