Bradmontgomery1 I liked your resipe is very authentic, and don't worry about the bad comment, you know people talk shit!!!! But you sounds very polite. And you know w/t, in the video u are wearing a beautiful t-shirt ! arriva las chivas carnal...
@southside135544 Si! Aririva las chivas! Thanks for the nice words. You're kind to reach out. I am looking for some warmer weather.... For me micheladas are better on a hot day. (But micheladas are good on ANY day. :)
This is the best resipe ok. Well this is what my friends said , just add. Clamato, salt inglesa, maggy sause, tapatio sause, a little bit of v8 juice, lemon juice, ice and that's all, but clamato is very important 'cause without clamato wouldnt' be a michelada...
@southside135544 Thanks Southside. I've never tried it with lemon juice.... In the part of mexico where I lived they didn't even have US style lemons. But it might be fun to try. For my taste, I like 'em both WITH and w/o the clamato. Somehow the salty ingredients (jugo maggi y salsa inglesa) together with the chili plus the lime make it ROCK. Perfecto. Thanks for chiming in!
@3100alvarez My friend thinks that it's better w/o chamoy. (To be honest, I've never had it WITH chamoy but would like to try it.) How much chamoy do you put in your Michelada? Thanks for the comment.
OK, I'm from Mexico, and where I live (Aguascalientes) the "Michelada" is that kind of drink with all the sauces shown in the video but without Clamato, if you want to ask for a "Michelada" with Clamato you say "Una gringa", and if you want a "Michelada" with only lime and salt and you're not in the mood to get chili you only say "Chelada" :)
@Fanchus Great! Thanks for making it clear. My pal...Oscar...in the video, tells me that in Mexico City the names are all confused and it depends on the person making it. But you make it sound really clear. Thanks so much for the comment.
I can hardly wait to make a real Michelada! All of these years, I've been using salt... and forgetting the lime juice, tajin, and two other sauces. And the Clamato. Thanks for sharing part of your experience down there. Do the Mexican people understand what a funny motivational speaker you are, or do they just think you are a gringo who drinks lots?
