Hibbert couldn't chew gum and walk at the same time his freshman year at Georgetown. The progress he has made is amazing - and it will continue - he is a hard worker.
I think I'd thank Larry Bird 1st... ;-) Roy is pretty awkward currently, but I think that if we can hang on to him, and not do some David Harrison-type-shit with him, that he'll develop into a helluvah player. I think that the Pacers KILLED on draft day, when they got Roy AND Brandon Rush!! GO~PACERS!!!
Glad he stuck it out at Gtown for 4 years. I enjoyed this season as much as I did the days of ewing.jackson.williams and windgate. He will be a real asset wherever he goes...a great addition to any team. Looks like Toronto right now! But where was he at the draft? Missed the Mr. 7.2 towing above the commissioner.
Yet Hibbert really handled it like the pro he is. After 4 years at Georgetown (100-33 record), Hibbert is now a MAN who is ready to contribute in the NBA immediately.
If I had the #1 overall pick, I'd draft Roy Hibbert. Had he come out in 2007, I'd have drafted him #3 right after Greg Oden and Kevin Durant.
i would love the jazz to draft this guy, they got help everywhere they need one more big cmin off the bench with millsap. boozer and okur start then millsap and hibbert off bench ...nice

I'm not sold on the guy at all, but with the 23rd pick he'll be well worth the risk.
