  • Music back then in games had enhanced that mood for me, it's so nostalgic listening to songs such as this. Only a few game's nowadays give me the same feeling that old games did. Nothing tops the 90s

  • Hi, what mission is 03:00? i like it

  • Comment removed

  • it takes either a lot of balls or a lot of crazy to go into battle dressed like a giant red dong.

  • The music that starts @ 2:20, that's where the game started to get hard.

  • One of my favorite games of all time . Great story , great gameplay and feel .

  • World of game mods also has it. Just search for it.

Also: The menu music in this and No Regret is the best effing music in any video game ever. The first mission music from each is also frigging awesome.

I would definitely love to see this done on a modern engine with the isometric viewpoint kept. I can always dream that EA won't eff it up. They've been getting a little better lately with not blatantly screwing their customers right up the ass.

We'll see what the future holds for Crusader.

  • @millakilla199 Buying out Criterion helped EA out loads, since what used to be Renderware has now become EA's main internal Game Engine. It means they can concentrate more on how a game plays over how to get it working

  • Awesome game! I miss this so much!

  • If anyone's looking to download the soundtrack, head over to my website. echosector [dot] com. Both No Remorse & No Regret soundtracks in MP3 and MOD format.

  • Death to the World Economic Consortium!

  • omg 7:30

is what ive been looking for for so long

    used to give me shivers

and you cut the end of the solo in this vid

    which is the best part

misterious are the ways of the lord

  • what track/mission is 6:06?

  • ithe track is called Space , you can find all the OST in a a forum called Echosector

  • wow man im downloading right now

    thnx so much

i remember thise two games as having the best music

and even now it sounds so freakin devine

    JESSICA 16

    remember? :)

  • jajaja a pleasure to help another Crusader fan, and yes but it think it was JASSICA16

  • JA JA

  • @CloudStrifeZX Yeah, but try putting JASSICA16 in on No Regret and see what happens.

The christmas music... it haunts me.

  • i remember playing this when i was younger on playsation, even then, i thought it had cool music.

  • i love the parte of this music compilation when the image of the captain changes in so many color ...its so...trippy

  • 2:53 my favourite

  • Oh ma gawd Nightlover69!

I can't thank you enough, hearing these songs again made tears in my eyes!!!

I remember getting this game in toys r us when I just moved from germany on my 8th birthday!

This is ANOTHER amazing game, that DID focus mainly on the gameplay. Unlike todays 99.97% FPS's.

  • I miss games like this. All you needed was good gameplay and 16 bits for music and graphics.

The current generation is spoiled with their flashy graphics and shitty gameplay

  • actually the music and graphics of this game are in 32 bits...

  • @ghostbirdofprey Actually this games runs only on 32 bit sytems 486 and higher (2D graphics doeas not mean to be automatically 16 bit ... ,modern 2D games are 16 bit too ?? lulz). BTW . Music is still 16 bit (AUdio CD's ;])

  • @hydzior The game will run on 32 bit systems yes, but it is a DOS game. DOS is a 16-bit operating system.

Also the Music is i the format of audio cds. The music is .MOD tracker files which are similar to MIDI but use recorded samples in the file instead of sounds generated by the sound card. What's great about it, though, is that it sounds like real installments (many older MIDIs don't due to hardware limitations), but is still fairly small

  • This game was great, the controls were a bit off but none the less.

I was privilaged to have played this game in my early PC gaming years.

  • yeah dude :) pity for those who missed the golden age

  • awesome game, i wished they would make a movie and Tony Zurovec as producer would be perfect!!

  • These tunes are the BEST!! Luckily I thought to record them to cd before I was no longer able to play them on my newer pc.

Shame as i could play these games all day.

  • This brings back good memories!

    What an awesome game!!!

I remember running around to find passwords and colored keycards while being chased by robots and troopers!

Old game were perfect...great music and pure fun!

  • This was my favourite game on the '90s. And I start to make MOD, S3M, XM, then IT musics just because of Straylight Studios. This musics is evergreens. The music was starting here at 6:51, is my favourite. Thank You 4 upload.

  • Straylight ftw. They created really awesome music. Mirsoft has all the music if you want to listen to the mods. :)

  • I loved this game and would often just sit and listen to the first 2 songs played here. Fantastic! This should have been played in dance clubs

  • man i loved this game sooooo much. Total classic! I got the music on my ipod still hehe

  • I love Unreal and it's music so I looked up who made it's music. And I found out that Straylight Productions made several AMAZING soundtracks in it's short life. This game's music is absolutely INCREDIBLE!! I've got to find a version of this game to play. I can't believe I somehow missed it back in the 1990s.

  • one must admit they rly knew how to make a good game back in those times :) Dont know if it was becouse i was young, but the atmosphere was stunning. The game was original and level design was excellent, cant think up any game that would rly match its quality and was produced recently :(

  • Amen brother. Something about games these days... feels like shitty overblown Michael Bay vehicles

  • nowadays most games are trash EA style - make money quick with tons of shit!

and yes, I love old games. shitty graphics, fucked up controls but they are good.

burn in hell EA, hell full of crap

  • nice compilation dude :)

    thanx for posting.

  • I remember trying to play this music on the keyboard. I think I even recorded it to cassette so I could listen to it in the car. How bad is that?!

  • I'm SO glad I grew up having been able to play so many classic PC games. Crusader was one of the best

  • anyone knows is it possible to get the ost at least those mods somehow?

  • Try googling "khinsider"-site. There are some pretty good game and anime music.

  • try looking for webpage named echo sector, u can get music from both games there

  • Hey it´s the same music of Crusader: No Regret, I love this music, best music ever! I love this and C&C red alert soundtrack, also Jazz Jackrabbit´s best music eva!

  • man this brings a tear to my eye remembering all this great quality in games. Games nowadays spend no more then 15 minutes making the soundtrack. Its all filled with ambient garbage =[ (doom 3?)

  • Yeah, thats the world we live in...though not all games are like that. Mass Effect has an excellent soundtrack, very refreshing.

  • I tend to disagree. Developers are spending more on music than before and Top notch composers are making the music. However they aren't as catchy as before.

Alhough I would say games are not as fun as before. I guess it's the "Been there done that" feeling.

  • not all nowadays games have crappy music, although crusader is classy :)

  • and there was also supposed to be third crusader but nearly all members of origin left so it wasnt released it was called crusader no mercy it also had multiplayer

  • OMG Really? /cry :'(

  • very nice song very nice game very nice memories but i still play the game because i found it at one local game shop

  • nice again.. thanx. how do you download stuff from khinsider?? i isntalled zango cash as erquested but stil cannot download

  • I always loved the music on both the games... awesome to find them here again!

  • Any chance you can put the full track from 8.37 onwards? It was the credits roll theme and possible the most awesome track in the game.

  • search it at "galbadia hotel", i dont remeber the site but just google it.

    they have this musics.

  • One of the best action games of the 90s, without a doubt. I especially remember the first 2 tracks very lively!

  • I had this on my Sega Saturn back in the day. Easily one of the best games I've ever played!

  • how did you rip off the music from the game dude? i still have the original cd of both no remorse and no regret until now. i bought this game since i was in elementary hehehe

  • I didnt rip them or anything...I downloaded them from khinsider-website. Great site for game and anime music. Just google "khinsider" and you should find it :)

  • @Nightlover69

I used a player called Mod Plug player ages ago, you can use that to play mod files, convert it to wav and then to mp3. You can try that.

  • the mod player "ModPlug Player" support the format the mods are stored in. All songs are available on the cd as .amf -files. This works for both no remorse and no regret.

  • I love you guys for loving this game like I did! iou0 is right about MOD music - where to look? I can't put my finger on exactly why I was 'imprinted' with this music 'wave-form'.

Also, Hiraghm, tell me, where is a reliable source of the DOSBox you speak of?

  • This game *is* playable under DOSBox. I've been playing it on my HP laptop. I rebuilt an old K6 system just so I could play this game, and it semi-died on me, but with some experimental tweaks I got it working just fine in DOSbox, not even the "skipping" problem I had with the intro cinematic. Making an ISO of the game disk and using a disk emulator helps.

  • This game and the music were a severe part of my childhood. Man I would listen to this for hours.

  • Ah, the memories!

EA would butcher this game like they do every game they get their greedy little tentacles on!

  • Damn, this was my game back in the day. I hated that I couldn't play it anymore when I upgraded my OS. :(

If EA made a new entry in the series, that would be too awesome.

  • can any 1 have nfo that EA will ever continue this series in future..... hope theyy ll bring out this game series with 5th gen. 3d grafix and sound .. not to mention multiplayer mode also.

  • Even if they did continue this series it won't be the same. It will be an EA created game with just the Crusader license, theme and all. Look what they did to the C&C series.

  • A Kickass Game with awesome Music!!! Good old Dos Times

  • 1 of the best pc games that ever existed

  • I miss MOD music :(

  • The game rocked, the music rocked.

The game rocked even more in No Regret with better controls.

  • i had this game wen i was like 3!!! jesus!!!

  • what mission is 07:42? i like it

  • Its titled: "Mission 16C" I think its one of the ending songs or something..not sure.

  • Comment removed

  • @dcuky i think its when the resistance guys got attacked

  • This music makes me feel so good...Thanks alot for uploading this mate.

  • No problem =)

  • What a great game, I still play it on my Saturn. The soundtrack kicks ass! ^-^

A classic that no game has beaten to this day

  • Check out my Crusader website... echosectorDOTcom

  • love this songs too, how you rip the sounds? is there any possibility to rip it from the cd-files?

  • That song at 6:11... Awesome. I loved CNR...

  • Love the first song.

  • Man, I LOVED these games. If EA revived this series I would be so happy. The music is some of the best I've ever heard in a game.

  • One of the best...

  • I absolutely loved this game as well as No Regret and play them all the time on my dosbox. Best music, best idea for a game. Miss old school gaming. Long live CNR!

  • why did you think i have this name? "Silencer"?

  • Maybe because you are that red guy from the game :)

  • yes and this since more than 10 Years!!!!! Also at the beginning of Crusader no remorse.

  • If you are the man it the suit then please make sure there will be a sequel to this awesome game :)

  • Best music ingame and one of my fav games :D
