  • good lesson/!

  • IS THIS GUY DAVID GILMOUR??

  • @Taldegardo: It's a sweep picking motion in which the left hand index finger mutes the chord.

  • 0:43 can't understand what the left hand does

  • Fuckin sweet.

  • screw the strings broken, you can buy more strings, who is gonna get me new fingertips damn it, WHO???!!!!

  • Where might I find the actual tabs to what you are playing? Thanks man..love the sound...sweet and mellow....love the feelling....

  • watching this you realize how beautiful that solo really is

  • Holy shit, this slowed down version almost sounds like a whole new song. Fuckin' Floyd should have done something like this, actually.

  • Hi Guys I just try to do my best, i'm simply trying to reproduce David Gilmour, who is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. I'm NOT HIM, and could never be, as I am me, I am a guitarist for hire, and have to cover many things. I have just completed a UK tour in Brian May's band, and in September Brian May asked me to fill the position as his 2nd guitarist for a special Queen gig for Freddie's 65th Birthday. In my defence, Brian keeps hiring me, so that good enough for me. jamie Humphries

  • what make of musicman is your guitar i really like the p90s tone

  • R.I.P to all the strings broken while playing this solo

  • @Aerotallica2500 Oh god! Yes! I have broken at least five strings playing the part where you bend two whole and a half step.

  • Good lord those bendings...my fingers hurt only by seeing this. Spot on!

  • Nice

  • what guitar is this? Its damn hot.

  • Please, can you tell which effects are used in this video? Or at least which overdrive used?

  • No matter how hard I push I just cannot reach that note at 0.53 on my Stratocaster. I feel that the tremolo unit just wont let it happen or maybe Im just not strong enough. Anyone else have that problem?

  • Not so accurate cover. I'd say just average.

  • @panzemeyer You're kidding, right? Except for the tempo, this is spot-on.

  • @panzemeyer Who are you, Dave Gilmour? I think your estimate of average is very low mate. This guy is excellent.

  • Dave Gilmour? x)

  • Is it just me or does this solo sound so much better when played slowly?

  • Sounds quite good slowed down for the lesson. BTW, these lessons are very well done. Thanks!

  • Thank you for going over this solo in Slow motion. Most guitarists I see are more interested in showing off their skills rather than demonstrating, and they're all like "Oohhh look at me I can play this solo but you can't!" Moreover, there is a tab for this as well on Ultimate Guitar.com that I found. I'm gonna nail this one for my uncles' party!

  • what settings and effects do you use?

  • THIS IS WHY I LOVE THE INTERNET.

  • id go nuts if my fret board was that dirty

  • @MetalFee666 L.O.L !!! the fretboard is not dirty, it's the wood used, it's called "birdseye" :)

  • @NAThan9871 the finest wood for the finest guitars :)

  • what effect or tuning is this

  • This is quite possibly the greatest guitar solo ever.

  • what guitar is that ? :)

  • can someone please tell me what tuning this is in:)

  • @sk8erdude987 Standard E A D G B A

  • @PinkMeddle41 i dont think Standard tuning is E A D G B A.

  • @3rl3ndh95 yer its is, elephants and donkeys grow big ears

  • @stebolian

a big arss would be more likely at this place :')

  • I was spellbound, even at half speed! Beautifully rendered and the effects really bring it home.

  • I think I need to change to .009 gauge strings

  • @Aussiephil99 Yeah... Problem is that tuning, then, gets screwed up after a couple of those crazy bends... ;-)

  • THIS IS MUSIC MAN

  • WTF, did those 4 bieber ass lickers clicked on this vid,

    SO AWESOME, YEAAAAAAAAAH

  • simply amazing for any guitar player to watch

  • Suggestion:You should play the normal speed right after, just to give the student the punch.Great teaching though.Thumbs up!

  • Well, wasn't that special. Damn,... It actually really was. Awesome playing and a great cover. Carry on.

  • 3 dumb asses actually hate this!

  • WOW

  • far out playing man, just excellent, wish you were here... and show me more

  • evil genius

  • thanks

  • so slooooow

  • Man actually sounds pretty cool at this tempo as well!

  • I believe this video wil be very helpful when I start learning to play that solo...thanks a lot!

  • Incrível o que a sensibilidade humana pode criar! Solo fabuloso de uma música brilhante....

  • Anyone know what the effects units behind him are?

  • thank you, best way to learn nice and slow.

  • Very correctly played, great job....

  • this is why i love the internet.

  • @MirrorGallery exactly man

  • this is an awesome video, thank you very much. Love to see how you do those bends so cleanly. very helpful

  • great vid,thanks for sharing.

  • I've never seen P-90's in a Music Man.. :-)

  • Amazing !

Hello Guy, watch my version of this solo!!!

    /watch?v=k67k60RXRrg

  • Wrong. 0:54 you need to bend higher. A few other parts not phrased right either. Decent though.

  • @tecnolover2642 -- Yes, I can see with your amazing backlog of perfectly phrased and immaculately played David Gilmour solos that you are a master of this subject, and such a person should be entitled to arrogantly critique and criticize another's cover of a guitar solo.

Actually you should probably just shut the fuck up.

  • @archimedesvi Boom, sit the fuck down!

  • Thanks Broth

  • Good. Now I only have to figure out how to do the 2-tone bend, but other than that this vid is all I need to learn the solo. Thanks.

  • That was great.

It helpt me to learn this Solo.

    Well done
