I still play this game on nes to this day and have beaten it countless of times. To those who haven't, u better make the helicopter kick ya best friend! I'm serious......your not gonna beat the game without mastering that move. U can cheat your way out of it with those turbo controllers if u want but u if u want to beat it with true skill use the regular controller and just practice ya ass off like I did. You'll feel better once u beaten it

I'm surprised you do the cyclone kick with a simple vertical jump! I always jumped forward and then do a cyclone kick. The chance of hitting bad guys increases much more. Especially at the illusionist end boss. Love your description tho! 'He fights like a fairy' ! LOL !! cracked me up! Haha!

I use to love playing this game. I don't know why they don't release a more up to date version of this game. I never figure this out if one of them are rescuing the girl, what does Jimmy get out of it? He seems like the third wheel but then again , he's that down ass homeboy is just going along for the ride to kick some ass. This game made is seem rescuing a girl from a some hater something to be proud about. Most all the music in this game kicked ass.

There's a remake for GBA that combines both 1 and 2 along with new aspects and updated music. It sounds like you might be getting shortchanged but it's actually one hell of a game that cuts the fat from both games while giving you the best of both games.

I just figured out how to do that one odd kick move, It's like a pause in mid air and then you shoot in at a angle. The bat is a good weapon, when you got to fight those Chuck Norris and That other dude on stage eight, I make sure I drag the nun chuks and kale sticks all the way to that part.

@ElectricHawk If they came out for PS3 or 360, they would have to make it cell shaded. I love the fact they kept the classic weapons and added the nun chuks and kale sticks. At the end of stage 8, don't try fight Chuck Norris and the long hair dude with no weapons. Your pretty much fucked. Those fuckers end up reduplicating over and over. I found so many ways to beat the game on certain stages the cheap way . Those Samurai dudes and The Mr.Anderson's take the most power off.

The boss Samurai can take you out in one hit I believe. And avoiding the Anderson's combo leaves them open in such a beautiful way. Especially if you have a weapon. Whenever I get the nunchucks or the kali sticks I go out of my way to make sure I don't drop them until the stage is over. Makes bosses a cinch.

@ElectricHawk Overall the remake is one hell of a game, the best twenty dollars I've ever spent on a Gameboy Advance game. I got River City Ranson also for the GBA and Super Dodgeball. Yeah they really need to make a newer side scroll version of Ninja Gaiden or even Shinobi. That right there would be the shizznit!

@StingraySal Th RCR remake was top of the line. Especially editing characters to look like me and my friends. We enjoyed that one quite a bit. I didn't play the Super Dodgeball remake. I wasn't too into the original. But I used to play the Neo geo version frequently.

@StingraySal I beat it a few times. What you should do is rack up money fighting the tougher guys and eat until your stats are maxed out. And then when you fight him, just get real ruthless. Don't give him a chance to do anything. Ever. He starts talking, you knock his ass over.

Our favorite part of Double Dragon II for the NES was fighting our clones and the Shadow King. Cool thing is I still have an NES that I bought from my friend J that I worked with at Toys 'R' Us and still have this game! :)

The ninjas were a nice addition to the game. And so was the Shadow Master who you fight after the phantom is defeated. It'd be nice if they were added to the arcade version. But then again, there was Double Dragon Extreme, which is a combination of the NES and the arcade versions.
