  • @JewelAngel This song reminds me of Nova Scotia and back home in the maritimes, makes me so patriotic to be able to live in this place of beauty called Canada

  • the guy singing really reminds me of neil young.

  • Just gold, there is something about The Hip.

Lyrically, there able to make me want to move to Canada.

Amazing performance back in the day, go the 90´s!

    Think Ricky Think!

  • @impaulsowhat

    I agree with you 100 F'n %

There lyrics are so moving, and well they give Canada a good name. I'm proud to be hip lovin Canadian.

  • So great, so f'n great...

  • Now that is a great song! And from a great alum as well, their best in my opinion. Yepp!

  • This SUCKS! And I don't mean the song :)

Great song, it's just that the audio in this video is really low and the song is cut off at the end. Would love it if someone could re-upload this with better audio and not cut the end off. This is a great song and a great band!

  • I'm from Bobcaygeon so when people cheer for this song, it's a pretty good feeling lol.

  • that sucked that it just cuts off at the end!

  • that was rather an abrupt ending.

  • don't hear much of the hip in the uk , have to thank the trailerpark boys for this song .fantastic.

  • like wise man, like wise!

If it wasn't for that pirate DVD copy of Tenacious D which had the TPB Movie on it, I'd of never discovered the Trailer Park Boys, and I wouldn't of discovered the Tragically Hip...And in doing so I've bought the TPB series1-4 box set and the Tragically Hip album!

    So much for piracy!!

  • Oh I won't of even heard of the Sandbox or Rush!!

what a shame that would of been!

  • which tragically hip album? there are a few, yeah?

  • yeah! this song on the end of trailer park boys! changed my life

  • no shit, that the first time I heard it, I love this song

  • Best live band I have ever seen. . . . . . .

  • They opened for Eric Johnson years ago. Never heard of T-Hip before then. Long story short, they blew me away...better than Eric Johnson. Left me wanting more.

  • The greatness of a band should be measured by the fact that they sound as good live as they do in a studio

  • OmFg so awesome song!

  • WHAT DOES HE SAY AT THE START?

"they say for a song to be great it has to have ...WHAT...?

  • "they say for a song to be great it has to have moral complexity"

  • @adamberk07 "they say for a song to be great it has to have some form of complexity"

I personally think that is WAS

    Definitely the Willy Nelson :D

  • douche bag.

  • My patriotic heart has sunk because of your comment. =(

  • give that dude a towel

  • hahahaha

  • lmao audience... 80% midleaged white guys

  • Ya think!?

  • .. well yes actualy

  • There was a music video for Bobcaygeon where the Tragically Hip and Ricky, Bubbles, and Julian from the trailer park boys were all in Sunnyvale and I really enjoyed the video and I think the song is great and very relaxing.

  • It was actually for the song "The Darkest One" from the album "In Violet Light"

  • Great song.

  • please tell me you got a video of that performance

  • One of my favourite songs of all time! I met Gordon yesterday in Moosonee, Ontario where no one that big EVER comes here. I chatted with him for a good 5 minutes and hes such a real, down to earth guy. It was amazing.

He did a little 4 song set at the local Highschool here. He did a couple of new songs from the Hips upcoming album which was such a treat! & he covered 1979 by the smashing pumpkins and another song i cant recall, but it was such an awesome performance! i was very lucky :)

  • what.. i call bullshit

  • lol thats so funny

  • I'm 18, big fan of Bob Dylan, and my comment was about kapa12's comment on the previous page about how he said Gord played at his highschool, saying he played "1979".

  • this is my fav band of all time

  • man the best canadian band ever

  • hard to pick a winner but they are probably #1 in my books too. Ever been to Bobcaygeon. Not a very exciting place.

  • absalutly beautiful singer, older he gets the more defined his voice gets, compared to his younger live this is just amazing.... enouh said proud canadian

  • fucking beautiful

  • Well this holds my favourite lyric of all time - "It was in Bobcaygeon, where I saw the constelations reveal themselves one star at a time." - I've sat in Bobcaygeon watching the sky, and how many skies have I watched where the Universe decided how to expose itself to me, so slowly I couldn't comprehend it, and so quickly I couldn't keep up. Every time I hear the song, I feel it all over again.

  • this song is trailer park boys movie it's way better on the video

  • How good was that live? Wow.

  • great song. one of my faves

  • Kate Fenner, she opened for The Hip with Chris Brown.

  • i think it's sarah harmer
