Huge, HUGE waste of raw talent = Venus Williams. I prayed that she'd come to her senses in time, and get a real coach. Didn't happen, and it's too late now. She was really horrible at Wimbledon.. embarrassing.

But don't let that take away from the things she did do. 5 Wimby Champ... only player to win Wimby down 5 match points.... most successful Olympic tennis player of all time (3 Gold medals)..... etc. I could go on but you get my drift.

Yes, Venus doesnt look like she trust her body just yet. It's got to be scary feeling having the pain she had at the aussie. Moving like this, her serve will have to be really good to beat quality oponents, but she still is good enough to beat top 10 players

Why is everyone here attacking Venus for her movement? People, she's been out for 5 months due to injury and she still managed to beat Ana 6-3 6-2. It'll come back in time as she progresses through her matches. I'm not writing off Venus at this years Wimbledon. After looking at last year's performance I'm sure she's going to approach this tournament with more confidence and the belief that she can win it.

venus is my favorite female tennis player...but i think she is totally done now...her movement is HORRIBLE...ugh it sucks...she lacks health and consistency...but i will be pulling for her this wimbledon...this is a great chance for her even though she really isnt healthy...the serve and net game need to be cooking for her to make one last push

I dont disagree that her fitness is an issue; it has been since the USO 2010, but she looks like she is protecting that groin injury. In the second set though she seems like shes finally opening up more. Shes inching for the lines and shes taking bigger steps instead of not going full out on the run like we are used to seeing from her.

Always enjoyed watching Venus move on grass. But, IMO, writing is on the wall. Venus no longer can move as well, so can't really hit back deep all the time. She still has a good first serve, but doesn't always come to her rescue. I'd be surprised if she goes deep into the second week at Wimby. May be she should retire from singles and play doubles with her sister in the majors.

Yes, Venus served well, but she's not hitting the ball deep enough like she once did. She's also not moving well. She needs to get herself into better shape!

She had a major injury that has effected her groin area.. its going to take a little bit for her to be able to condition the way she would like.
