  • Great work guys! akumabito2008 for shure.. the beasts just rust up in a matter of moments... turn your eye away from driving it or maintaing it for a second and the rust will set in :) love old landies want to get myself a SIII 109 station wagon so the SIIa doesnt feel lonely, but the thought of a '67 fastback mustang might just be too great!

  • damn guys that was absolutely amazing! all i need now is a team like yours to do mine!

  • that's awesome, like that a lot

  • That's just fantastic! Last time I worked on a Landy I spent about just as long just removing all the rusted/broken bolts.. :D

Now looking at a Series IIa or III 88 soft-top for myself.. Hoping to do a chassis swap, 200tdi conversion and parabolic spring conversion all in one go. (will take much more than 16 hours I bet, lol!)

    Good work guys!

  • Beatiful landy, im jelous, ;) But what is the music btw?

  • @Pinguing1 Thanks!

Music is Bonobo - Scuba [Amon Tobin Mix]

    From a chill-out album I think..

  • hats off to you guys

  • Fantastic job. An inspiration to us landy owners!

  • that was truly imense great job guys looks like it was a lot of hard work turned into alot of fun.

  • impressive.....not the first you guys did this I guess

  • trully skilled.

  • It's actually a galvanized chassis, covered with a coat of black paint. So hopefully it'll still be a couple of decades before we have to make another video and beat our personal record ;-)

I can only recommend switching the chassis to a galvanized one. We've visited Richards Chassis in the UK a couple years ago, and they've really got some good chassis that fits great for both LHD and RHD. A re-welded one will also last long I hope, just did the same on a S2A I've been working on for some time

  • Thanks for all the feedback guys. Very fun to get so much attention for the video!

  • Excellent job..lots of dedication..loved it

  • 1:37 - you can't do major car assembly without a beer break. It's a golden rule!

  • It took me 2 hours to service the brakes on my series 109 lol.

  • they are a great unit ....i have a 1958 runs great ...for sale....780-875-5730....alberta..

  • Brilliant!

  • great video:)

  • WOW that was great, and ur lucky u can have new defenders. sigh

  • wow, very impressed, i would like do that in 16 hours!!! it would take me much longer!!

  • Cooooool,

  • Nice video! Well done!

  • holy crap! I'm impressed, nice 2A too

  • Too much work for only 16 hours ... fantabulous!! congrats!!

  • would of been much easier to work on with the wings unbolted first instead of bending over them.

  • Maybe so, but then he would have neded to split the bulkhead/wing/grill and he saved a bit of work be keeping them together, makes it much easier to line up. Also, chances are whenever he was bending over he was just undoing the wing to chassis related bolts.

  • Seen it now 5 times, and still fasinated! (Isbj0rn)

  • Thanks for all your response! It looks like the video is gonna be published by our local newspaper "Fedrelandsvennen" as well :-)

  • Very nice work!

  • Nice work. You can relax now. Next chassis change in some forty years :-)

    AreM

  • Yeah, the galvanized frames are very satisfying to have as a base of the car :)
