Blanche was born in 1932... There was a Mother's Day episode where she goes to visit her mother and her mother thinks she's Virginia. Blanche tells the story of how she ran away to get married when she was 17 on Mother's Day ... Her Mom corrects her and says it was Christmas Day 1949... so that would make Blanche's year of birth 1932. Am I right ?Yes/No?!

@GrumblyBear13 Yes 1932...the writers slipped when they revealed her age...but that age still made her the youngest....Rose was 55 when the show started in 1985 making her born in 1930(revealed in the episode where she lost her job), and Dorothy was 57 in 1984(the year she divorced stan) putting her birth in 1927 and of course Sophia was born in 1905(80 years old when the show started).

This is the episode "The Chicken and the Egg"(originally aired May 14, 1993), which was the season AND the series finale of the series. And it WASN'T because Bea Arthur left the series(even though it WAS better with her on the series) as to the reason CBS pulled it off the air., it was because CBS didn't have any "room" to fit the show in any timeslots for the then-coming fall 1993 season, so they were canceled. At least, however, Estelle Getty returned to NBC to be on "Empty Nest".....

Bea Arthur may not have been the official reason the show went off the air but, it would make sense. The Golden Palace failed to bring in viewers, ratings sucked so, it was cancelled. I doubt not having any room was the reason, it had to have been bigger than that.
