  • What do you believe is the best way to ingest cayenne pepper? I was thinking about drinking it...I just don't know how to monitor how much I should take as a dose. Any help much appreciated.

  • @philycheesesteak127: Cool name! The best way to take it, in my educational opinion, is to drink it. If you drink it, start small and stay small for a while. For example, drink 1/8th of a teaspoon in 3 ounces of water. That small amount taken for a while allows a person to acclimate to it and then to go to 1/4th of a teaspoon, half then a full one in time. Not trying to be "salesy" but go to my site. All the info is there about drinking it. Hope this helps.

  • @truthgladiator Thanks! In fact, I'm gonna buy from your site (noticed you're an affiliate, that's awesome. I've been wanting to do that for a while) Anyway, what do you recommend from your site? Is 35k H.U. a good place to start? Or should I got straight to the 90k H.U. Also how long did it take for you to build up to the 160 H.U.?

  • @philycheesesteak127: I appreciate that. I don't make much with sales, mind you. I make more w/ the Big G, actually. I only have one page on the entire site that has an affiliate link or page as I want people to see how sincere I'm trying to be by providing really good content. I think for the most part I'm doing that. Yes, 35k is the place to start. It took me a good six months to get to 160k SHU but I still prefer my 90k SHU cayenne, actually. I went VERY slow, though.

  • Thank you v much for the reply . So the runny nose is neither a good thing nor a bad thing , correct ?

  • @danvelgtr: I can't answer that directly due to legal constraints. It is a byproduct of the mucous membranes getting inflamed by the capsaicin in the cayenne pepper.

  • Thank you very much for your excellent videos . I am going to make cayenne pepper part of my daily intake via tea for the rest of my life. One thing , can you tell me why it makes my nose run ? Is this a good thing or a bad thing ? tia.

  • @danvelgtr: Thanks for the kind words. It makes your nose run as it inflames the mucous membranes, which causes the increased secretion of mucous. With most people the extra mucous is manufactured in the mouth usually. I've not heard of someone having it run out of their nose so much.

  • How often a week should I drink this? I have high BP

  • @jbis2bad: I'm not a doctor so I can't prescribe anything. All I'll say is that those with high blood pressure or any kind of ailment that cayenne can help in the positive tend to take it two to three times a day. I'm not telling you to do anything, mind you. Use your own judgment and if you have any questions, see a doctor.

  • Im putting together a tonic of sorts to be taken daily that will include fresh, organic turmeric, garlic, ginger, cinnamon, horseradish, cayenne, raw honey and apple cider vinegar. My question is should these be taken together? Or will some have adverse effects on the others such as reducing potency or effectiveness? Thanks for the video and info btw.

  • Thank You for informational AMAZING IM HOOKED .

  • @thallon1957: Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I was out of state for Christmas. Just got back. Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate it. Let me know how it goes!

  • Thank you so much for this... if there is one spice you should have in your pantry or carry on you.. its cayenne pepper!! I am big fan of it and use it for so many different things thank you again for sharing the benefits of this amazing spice.

  • @rochelle695: Thank you for your kind comments. Yes, I totally agree about cayenne. It's one of the reasons why I coined the term, "King of The Herbs." It really is an amazing medicinal spice that is good for so many things. Thank you again.

  • Is it okay to drink cayenne tea right before going to sleep? I try to drink it at least twice per day, and sometimes it's late before I get around to drinking the last glass. As always, thanks for all the great info. you give on so many things.

  • @Greenspots84: Yes, it's okay. I do it too a lot of the time. Thanks for the kind words.

  • @truthgladiator Thanks so much for your reply. Have a good week and Happy Thanksgiving, too!

  • @Greenspots84: No problem. Thank you and have a Happy Thanksgiving to your and yours.

  • Hi, wouldn't it be better to add cayenne to boiled water to really extract the nutrients? because usually this is the way to make herbal tea. You either add to boiled water and let it steep, or keep simmering for about 5-10 minutes. What do you think?

  • @Metsada007: Your logic is sound. I drink it the way Dr. John R. Christopher used to advise to take it. He said the "cayenne tea" was meant to be warm but not like actual tea in water heat. Your logic is sound with many herbs actually as boiling them allows the nutrients to be released or activated.

  • @truthgladiator

Thank you for replying, in that case I will use both methods just to be sure. I'm drinking a glass now :)

  • @Metsada007: I'm taking mine after an hour passes from working out!

  • @truthgladiator

Is that better? I've started with cardio exercise again so thanks for the tip...

  • @Metsada007: don't drink cayenne immediately before of after a physical event like playing a sport, working out, etc. In fact, I let four or so hours pass before I do a sporting event like play softball. I let an hour pass after the workout has culminated before I drink cayenne. It would upset the stomach otherwise. Hope this helps.

  • @truthgladiator

    ok, thanks again.

  • Adding black pepper to turmeric or turmeric-spiced food enhances curcumin's bioavailability by 1,000 times, due to black pepper's hot property called piperine.. Question is, does CAYENNE Pepper do the same or what is the boost if I use cayenne instead of Black pepper?

  • @BUZZME2011: I know about piperine. Cayenne pepper is much more effective than black pepper in enhancing medicinal herbs and other medicinal spices. In fact, it is an accentuator spice that actually is used in many herbal concoctions for that very reason -- even eye formulas.

  • Great video as ever. Thank you

I have read many people talk about how cayenne is great for increasing your metabolism and aiding weight loss. It`s the main ingredient in Capsiplex which is the biggest selling weight loss aid. I wonder if you believe this to be true? I have a stomach ulcer and although you say it helps I am concerned about taking hot powder. I have always been told that hot fodds etc will damage my stomach ulcer. I could easily make up capsules for Cayenne.

    Keep up the good work.

  • @byronlegend: Thanks for the post. Yes, I've heard of Capsiplex. I don't use it for my opinion is that the pure cayenne is better. Cayenne is a stimulant and an accentuator medicinal spice and will assist in weight loss but it shouldn't be thought of as a magic bullet but as part of a weight loss regime. That's my personal opinion. Believe it or not, while I'm not a doctor, cayenne helps heal damaged stomach tissue, i.e., ulcers. It did for me. Drinking it is better than taking it via capsules.

  • @truthgladiator Thanks for the reply. I am working out hard and eating well so Capsiplex is simply an addition to that. 30 Capsiplex capsules costs me £30. I can buy 1Kg of cayenne and that would fill about 1,500 empty gellatin capsules. I will buy some but follow your advice and drink it instead. I wonder why doctors have told me to stay away from hot food which includes chilli`s like Cayenne because of my stomach ulcer when it actually will help. Many thanks for the great videos.

  • @byronlegend: If you're uneasy about cayenne due to your stomach, I have found slippery elm is quite soothing for that. It can be taken in capsule form too. I know it seems paradoxical, but cayenne is good for the stomach notwithstanding its heat. I can't say doctors would say that but generally speaking, they're probably right. Sounds like you're on a good path with your health.

  • @truthgladiator Thanks. I take slippery elm with the Psyllium husk cleanser drink that you recommended so I have plenty of that. I`ll get myself some Cayenne and give it a try. Many thanks.

  • @byronlegend: Good deal. I am sure that will help your ulcer. Good to hear from you.

  • @truthgladiator Problem is none of the suppliers here in England have any info on what strength their Cayenne is. I have e-mailed them all but only one has answered and they are unsure. Strange because they are all good, well established companies.

  • @byronlegend: That's a problem because if its too hot, and you take too much, it could cause you to vomit. Try to stick with only a 1/16th of a teaspoon starting out in 2 or 4 ounces of water (sorry, don't know the equivalent of ounces in the metric system). It will probably be 40,000 to 90,000, I would guess. Hope that helps.

  • @truthgladiator Thanks for the help. Have a good weekend.

  • Truthgladiator; I am doing 1 tsp in water twice a day. Trying to tell people about this is like Talking to a STONE WALL! The pepper crops in the NW USA did good this year. Do people not realize that a lot of Drugs that are expensive, are made from plants. I was on medication for high blood pressure, but stopped. I was having problems at work(electrician) I would get Dizzy on step ladders when looking up wiring light fixtures when on HBP meds. I went back on Cayenne Pepper.

  • @jackpontiac52: Thanks for the post. Yes, people are close minded but more and more people are gradually becoming open minded to alternative health options given the lackluster record of pharmaceutical drugs and other allopathic "remedies." The problem with Big Pharma using plants, which is the source for many drugs, is that the plants chemistry is completely changed into something that only resembles what it once was. It's sad. Thanks for your story too.

  • I drink 1 tsp in hot water twice a day. I also use it as a muscle rub ( adding water and a few drops of eucalyptus oil).

  • @JohnRagoon: That's great. Way to go. It actually has many topical uses too so congrats on using it that way. I love it as a muscle relaxant too although I never thought of adding a few drops of eucalyptus oil to it. Near one of my running routes, there are a bunch of eucalyptus trees and I love the smell they give off.

  • Thank you for sharing all your information. I just started on 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper in warm water yesterday and think I felt benefits right away! I have a question regarding drying homegrown cayenne peppers. I want to turn 50 peppers that I have dehydrated into powder, but don't know if I can leave the seeds in and finely chop up everything.

  • @roclith: Congrats on the open mindedness to try cayenne. Most won't. Cayenne is a great natural supplement, it really is. I don't really know much about growing cayenne peppers or drying them. I have to admit I'm a child of convenience. I just buy mine from a good wholesaler. I wish I could tell you more. I do think, though, that the seeds are probably not ground down with the peppers. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

  • Hey Glen, I recently read a few articles on google about capsacin and it being linked to skin cancer. Just wondering how credible it is or if you were aware of this. Thanks.

  • @gleason39: Huh, that's interesting. It's interesting because there are probably 80 products on the market that are topical ointments that are capsaicin based. Personally, and it's just me, I think it's a load of hogwash. I'd like to see these articles. If you can email them to me, I'd appreciate it. Of course, if it causes you concern, by all means if you are taking cayenne as a supplement, stop doing so. I've literally never heard of cayenne causing skin cancer. Pure capsaicin perhaps it's tru

  • @truthgladiator Hey Glen, it's not letting me cut and paste the articles. But if you go on google and type in "capsacin skin cancer", you'll see many articles. Please let me know what you think. Take care!

  • @gleason39: I'll check it out when I can. Thanks for the tip.

  • Good vid, man. Just started taking the product today - Hope it works for me! =)

  • @kanarvin: Thank you for the kind words. How are you taking it? Give it time. It does work. Read through the comments on the videos and the testimonials on the site. Hope this helps you.

  • @truthgladiator Taking it in capsule form. Hoping it helps over time with my varicose, tingling extremities, dark eye circles, etc. Would of rather taken the powder form, but could only find the capsules at GNC. So far, no bad side-effects!

  • @kanarvin: cool. If drinking it in powder form is hard for you, take it in orange juice. It's not hard that way as much although the orange juice is certainly spicy.

  • @truthgladiator Cool, thanks for the info. Much appreciated!

  • @kanarvin: Sure thing. Anytime.

  • I am actually growing some cayenne peppers now which lead me to search it on here, Thats great, i had no idea, my father has actually suffered from stomach ulcers in the past and i have repeated acid reflux which leads me to believe i may also... Cant wait for them to ripen up... Great, informative video, thank you :)

  • @GardenNewbie: Couple of things. That you grow it is great, but I wouldn't wait. Buy some cayenne pepper powder locally and get started. Slippery elm, which is cheap and readily available, is wonderful for ulcers and acid reflux. It soothes while cayenne heals it. Hope this info helps you.

  • @truthgladiator It sure does, thank you so much, and ill be sure to... :)

  • @GardenNewbie: Happy to help.

  • I am consumeing everyday only organic cayenne pepper powder from online indusorganics for the benefit of heart.

  • @yourstruly4000: Sounds great. I hope it's working for you.

  • thanks for your sharing it with us

  • @MichaelRolin: No, thank YOU for taking the time to watch the video and to write a comment.

  • i have an autoimmune disease, hashimotos

  • @JDNuvo: I never heard of it until you. You might want to talk to a master herbalist too. You could use probably a good cleanse. I'm sorry for your problem. I hope you can get it resolved.

  • would it help with low thyroid to improve metabolism?

  • @JDNuvo: The main benefit of cayenne is its heart health elements but it thankfully has many other benefits as well. It can help with a malfunctioning thyroid, and there have been reports that I've seen that it has helped with a bad thyroid. That said, there are other options that are better like spirulina or kelp to help with the thyroid. Cayenne will help, though. That said, make sure you talk to a licensed doctor. I am not a doctor so don't construe this info as diagnosing or prescribing.

  • @truthgladiator

I had a question have you ever heard of applying cayenne directly to hemorrhoids? I recently did and the effect was immediate with 40,000BTU but I wonder if there would be long-term effects of doing so.

Mind you anyone reading this it does burn like hell for about a hour or so BUT it shrank the size of my deep dark purple ones by about 3/4 and took all the pain away the next day.

  • @Twisted86: Most people drink the cayenne in order to have the cayenne work on hemorrhoids from the inside out. However, for the brave souls who are willing to put it on it, it's certainly doable as your experience attests. I've never heard of any long-term problems with doing it other than the very noticeable heat from the application of the cayenne itself, which by definition is a short-term issue and not a long-term one. Hope this answers the question adequately.

  • @truthgladiator

Yeah, I just wanted to make sure as I plan to do this every other day till they go away. I strayed from my diet for a while due to dental visits and some bad luck. Back on cayenne and garlic drink but as you can see I am brave(stupid) enough to keep up with it lol.

Appreciate the reply, if you hear anything else on it let me know.

  • @Twisted86: I salute you actually for your courage. Some people are not open minded and you are and that says a lot. Most are minions of accepted orthodoxy and never question the status quo. So, I don't think you're stupid amigo. I also remembered where one herbalist said if one is brave enough to do it, direct application of cayenne to a hemorrhoid is okay. Dr. John R. Christopher wrote about it somewhere, I recalled. So, go easy on yourself. We all fall down in this troubled world sometimes.

  • @Twisted86: With your permission, I'd like to post your comment about about the direct application story of cayenne to your hemorrhoids to my cayenne pepper testimonial page. Please let me know if this is possible. I figure as it's on YouTube here, you wouldn't mind. Let me know. Thanks.

  • @truthgladiator

Sure thing, originally it was your site that got me on cayenne so feel free to post it. If such a cure helps someone who is having trouble than it was worth the time to test it out. I will mention best results have been application every other day as far as keeping the skin from getting sensitive. I also read of a cayenne enema which helps treat them inside your colon which you might want to look up to verify. I only have issues outside so I haven't tried it.

  • @Twisted86: Thanks much. I appreciate you letting me post it. I will take the text from your original post and some of the post you made that I am replying to. It will be at cayenne-pepper-testimonials.html on my cayennepepper.info site. Regarding cayenne pepper enemas, I actually wrote about that on my site as well. I know quite a bit about it, actually. It does work, but for healing hemorrhoids, taking it internally and as externally definitely helps. Thanks again for the permission Twisted66.

  • Is it harmful to eat large doses of cayenne in a very short time?

I've eaten this for so long now that I almost never feel any serious heat, and yesterday I used almost 30 grams on a single dinner and ate it all in like 15 minutes. =/

I didn't feel any major complications after that, I just started sweating a little and felt a mild burning in my stomach that I still kind of feel, but it's quite bearable and doesn't bother me - but still; I've never eaten this much cayenne this quickly before.

  • @Laurelindo: Thanks for the post. If too much cayenne is taken at any one time, it can cause vomiting. Burning in the stomach is quite common and that is what sounds like you experienced. Anytime one takes capsaicin-rich foods, almost always a burning in the stomach will be felt. Believe it or not, that burning in the stomach while it can be uncomfortable, is not harmful. Cayenne can in fact rebuild damaged stomach tissue, i.e., ulcers. It should pass in an hour or so maximum.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video, I've shared it on Facebook. I recently became interested in cayenne while doing the Master Cleanse. I'm wondering what your opinion is of the Master Cleanse. Cayenne will be part of my lifelong, morning vitamin ritual.

  • @pclapeer: Thanks for the kind words and sharing the video. The master cleanse undoubtedly works for it helps cleanse the body of toxins. However, it shouldn't be seen as a panacea. Cleansing is something we all need to do as our bodies build up toxins due to bad water, food, diet, etc. That doesn't include the wear and tear on our bodies due to the thick electro-magnetic soup we are in daily. The master cleanse, in my opinion -- and it's only my opinion -- should be a tool and not THE tool.

  • Would Franks hot sauce work as a remedy in the case of a heart "attack" or event? The tincture isn't very easy to find in my city.

  • @unclebob100: No. I wouldn't use anything other than the cayenne tea. The tincture is a last-ditch effort. Dr. John R. Christopher said he would pour cayenne water down a heart attack victim's throat to arrest the event. Ideally, the best option is the tea. I would never take the chance on Frank's Hot Sauce or whatever unless it were the absolutely only option available. Hope this answers it from my point of view. Needless to say, the heart attack victim should get to a doctor ASAP.

  • if i take cayenne pepper in capsule form will it be less effective?

  • @px37: Yes and no. When you drink cayenne, it immediately causes a reaction in your system. Blood flow is increased. Digestion actually begins with the mouth. The best or ideal way to take it is via a drink. However, that said, taking it in capsule form is highly beneficial too. I've received emails from people telling me that they take it in capsule form as they don't like drinking it, which is understandable. It's a good compromise. Hope that answers it for you. Thanks for the comment.

  • I also heard that if u have tape worms, and you lots of hot chile, they'll come out

  • @323REYNA: Cayenne does have some vermicidal properties. However, that's not its original purpose or main therapeutic benefit. Wormwood works very well for vermicidal or anti-parasitic purposes.

  • im glad im mexican and i eat chile all the time, shoo my dad had us eating hot salsa since we were kids, he would say "if it aint hot, it's not good salsa"

  • @323REYNA: LOL! I agree. Hot salsa is great. Thanks for taking the time to post amigo.

  • I think I ate a little too much for my liking yesterday, because the next morning I woke up with an uncomfortable burning in my stomach - it stopped after five minutes, luckily, but it was still rather unpleasant.

I'm actually considering giving habaneros a try, because nowadays I can use like 15 grams of cayenne on a single meal and it still doesn't feel hot enough. =P

I'll definitely keep eating cayenne, though.

  • @Laurelindo: Moderation in all things is a good thing to keep in mind. That's why I always recommend people who try cayenne to always ALWAYS start small. It's very potent -- especially the hotter cayenne.

  • hi was guessin liver bounty involved @heard spice's parasites help as that organ's implied aidin such by thread, so soothe one does other again perhaps; as well digestive + it being looped there or kidney as they ping pong function thus getting either up prongs poing. also thyroid's in all health, indicated too when herb is spoken against cancer oft related to low major gland affectin... i read fruit's best if color matures down to seeds, or those white have not just white hot taste but toxin~

  • Is it alright to use the cayenne pepper that you buy in regular stores, even though it's irradiated?

That's the cayenne I've been using for a few years now.

  • @Laurelindo: It's better than nothing. It's not ideal, though. There is something to be said about the quality of the pepper powder. It's not that really that inconvenient to buy better cayenne. If you have a health food store in your area, I'm sure they'll have it. Also, you can find it available at superb places online. Hope this explains things a bit better.

  • Cayenne is also available in capsules. It's a lot easy to ingest then the cayenne pepper tea.

  • @jasondoiron725: Yes, that is true. Very true. However, the cayenne tea is the ideal way. That said, the capsules are a good compromise.

  • Comment removed

  • @PrinceMio49: I'm happy to hear about your ankle's improved circulation. I'm not surprised anymore by the incredible stories about cayenne. I hear them all the time. As you posted this on YouTube, and it's in the public domain now, I'd like to ask your permission to copy and past your comments to my cayenne pepper testimonial page. Would that be okay? Let me know. Thanks much and good to hear from you.

  • Is there any real benefit to taking capsules or powder, versus simply eating a a raw serrano or cooking them and adding them to foods?

  • @85buickV8: Yes, the powder is more concentrated than just eating the peppers. Eating the peppers, though, is very good for you.

  • im mexican and i all ways take cayenne. garlic. vinegar and turmenic. thank god i never been taking medicines.no doctors. and im 42 years old.dios bendice.

  • @cesars969: Thanks for the post. I agree. Garlic and vinegar and turmeric are awesome too. I don't take medicines either for I know how powerful foods/herbs like garlic and cayenne (and herbs too). Thanks again for your post.

  • @cesars969 ¿Todavía sientas la intensidad del cayenne? Jaja. 8-)

  • hi is it safe for children in worm water and how much should they take

  • @rose500: It's ill advised to have children take cayenne. This is just a general ballpark but I recommend 12 at the very youngest. Hope this helps.

  • @flowerllily22: Yes, I'd like to use you as a testimonial. Thank you for your offer of that. I appreciate it. I'm really happy to hear about your positive experience with cayenne. Thanks for sharing it. You've also given me an idea for an article so thank you for that.

  • @flowerllily22: Hi and thanks for the post. Yes, I do talk about it but only obliquely. Its benefits for the circulatory system is its primary purpose and its warming of the extremities is a part of that. You've given me an article idea, though, so thanks for that. With your permission, I'd like to post your comments above on my cayenne pepper testimonials page. Could you tell me what state and/or country you're from? Thanks FlowerLLily22.

  • Thank you,it's about time people found out about the many benefits of Cayenne Pepper

  • @eqxz111: Thank you for your kind words. I agree totally, of course!

  • Hi, Glen. I haven't checked in for a while. Regarding easing toothache pain, do you use the dry cayenne pepper powder or mix it with water? Oh - I'm up to 1 teaspoon of cayenne each time I drink it now! If I can take it, ANYBODY can, because I'm the WIMPIEST when it comes to hot things. I can't believe how fast my body adjusted to the cayenne! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us; I REALLY appreciate it.

  • @Greenspots84: Thank for the post. For tooth pain, try the powder. Sounds like you're doing well w/ your cayenne regime. Well done. I laud your self-discipline. Happy to share. Please do pass the virtues of cayenne on.

  • @truthgladiator Thanks, Glen. I am passing the virtues of cayenne on. Happy New Year!

  • @Greenspots84: Thanks much. Happy New Year to you too.

  • Glen, do the benefits of cayenne remain when taken with food? ( I'm not a big fan of drinking it ). I use an organic 90,000 HU on most everything I eat and feel a ton of heat. Just wondering about the benefits when taken with food. Thanks!

  • @4cups: I actually don't like drinking it either to be honest! It's not pleasant. Here are a few suggestions. Drink only 3 to 4 ounces of warm water w/ the cayenne max. I've been doing that for quite a while now actually. To answer your question about the food, no, it's not ideal taking it with food. For max therapeutic effect, cayenne should be drunk. However, I've been personally told of reports by various people who take it in capsule form over drinking it. Hope this answers your questions.

  • @truthgladiator Thanks, Glen for answering my question. I just can't handle drinking it. When I put it on my food, I still feel the heat and sweat a lot. I guess using cayenne with food is better than not taking it at all. Thanks again.

  • @4cups: I probably didn't adequately answer your question. Sorry about that. Taking it w/ food is good, but it's not optimal for therapeutic benefit. It will certainly give you some health benefits to be sure, but it won't be ideal by any stretch. Hope this helps answer your question better.

  • @truthgladiator No problem. Thanks again for the response!

  • You said cayenne pepper nourishes the heart. How exactly does it do that? What nutrients does it provide to nourish the heart?

  • @memetototoo: I've personally read some specific research that details its effects on the heart. There was a study done in Korea that validated it. In a health newsletter, Dr. Christopher wrote, "...the warm tea opens up the cell structure -- makes it expand and accept the cayenne that much faster, and it goes directly to the heart, through the artery system, and feeds it in powerful food." Plus, another study as published by Mol Cell Biochem in July 2002 (authors RK Kempaiah & K. Srinivasan.

  • Where did you learn all these facts about cayenne?

  • @drkingslend: Personal study. I've read quite a few books on cayenne. Plus, I've read a lot of studies on cayenne. There are over 8,000 studies done on either cayenne or capsaicin its active ingredient. Moreover, I take it daily. Hope this answers your question.

  • Does it matter if you take your Cayenne tea on an empty stomach or doesn't it really matter?

  • @bluesdog88: There are 3 answers. 1. For some people, they can't take it on an empty stomach. So, taking it with food is okay -- vegetables and starchy foods like potatoes. 2. For those w/ stomach issues, taking it on an empty stomach is ideal as cayenne actually helps re-build damaged stomach tissue. I can personally testify to this. 3. Drinking it on an empty stomach allows for better digestion and assimilation. So, you need to decide what is best for you given the info here. Hope this helps.

  • @truthgladiator Thanks, I think for full effect an empty stomach would be best ;)

  • @bluesdog88: For maximum therapeutic effect, yes, taking it on an empty stomach is best. However, if you have the flu, taking it with orange juice or tangerine juice or pineapple juice would amplify the potency of the vitamins in it (most notably the Vitamin C antioxidant) for example, cayenne as an accentuator herb/spice would amplify the effects of the Vitamin C and significantly expedite overcoming it. All things being equal, though, on an empty stomach is best for therapeutic effect.

  • @truthgladiator Just had my first cayenne Pepper Tea, wow it is hot, satisfying though, feels like it's doing some good, appreciate the vids ;)

  • @bluesdog88: I know! The very first time is probably the worst as the body has no tolerance for the capsaicin in the cayenne but it adapts quickly. Well done!

  • Can this be used for Ulcer treatment , if yes what should be dossage

    Thanks

  • @sunildudia: I can't diagnose or prescribe anything as I'm not a doctor. I don't want to do anything that would get me in hot water w/ the US gov't. The answer about ulcers is yes -- many health writers confirm this. Check out the site. The answers are there. I would also encourage you to check out slippery elm. It's wonderful for ulcers. I had one in 2001 and it saved me. It's very healing and soothing. Cayenne helped that too as, according to one master herbalist, it re-builds stomach tissue.

  • Wow, I have never heard of Bayberry and Juniper? Is that a vitamin? Bee Pollen.. im visioning going out to a tree with a hive and getting stung like 5,000 times trying to extract some of this matter. (IDK what in heck your talking about) As far as the Hair growth I watched a video that says if you mix it with an oil & use it as a prepoo (Pre Shampoo) it will accelerate the blood flow to your scalp. I will take cayenne internally because it seems like its good for a variety of things.

  • Bee pollen comes in granule form and is quite common. Check out my other site BeePollenSecrets [dot] com. It also comes in capsule form and is quite beneficial. Bayberry and juniper do work from what I've read. Email me and I'll give you a specific URL to go to so you can check it out.

  • I saw on Dr.Oz , Cayenne pepper along with B Vitamins are used as a weight loss aide. In your experience what do you think of this theory? I want to loss about 15lbs. & also I take vitamin B for hair growth. Im curious of your thoughts this? Hair growth/ weight loss= cayenne.. what direction do you feel this will take me? Im taking 40,000 H.U. of Cayenne , I have no idea if this is too much or too little, please educate me on this.

  • I want to help but one of your questions smacks of asking for medical advice. The gov't wants to preserve their massive income stream w/ their healthcare lies, as well as Big Pharma. Here's what I can answer. Cayenne shouldn't be thought of as a weight loss aid. Bee pollen is better in fact as it helps to regulate metabolism better. I've heard no stories about cayenne helping to restore hair growth. Bayberry and juniper will help, though. Cayenne is an accentuator to any vitamin so that's true.

  • Thank you for spreading information about cayenne pepper. =]

  • Thanks, it's my pleasure!

  • Thank you so much for your great website and videos! Two days ago, I started taking 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper in 8 ounces of water. It almost immediately got rid of my chest pain that was caused by a prescription drug I'm no longer taking, but still suffer side effects from. I've been taking 3 tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar per day for hypertension. Can I continue taking the vinegar while I'm taking the cayenne? I want to continue the cayenne anyway. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the kind words. I'm also happy to hear about your success with cayenne. Yes, you certainly can continue to take cayenne and apple cider vinegar (I use it too, BTW, specifically Braggs ACV). I don't take them together, though. ACV is good for you but cayenne really is a prince among medicinal spices or herbs. I take them separately. Hope this info helps you.

  • @truthgladiator Thanks so much! Braggs ACV is what I take. I really can't thank you enough for the cayenne pepper information. I'm definitely going to spread the word to my friends.

  • Thanks so much for the good words and help. I really appreciate it. Let me know how things go w/ the cayenne.

  • @truthgladiator I definitely will keep you posted about how I'm doing with the cayenne. I've only been taking it for four days, and besides my chest pain being gone, I swear my circulation is better already! I've had poor circulation in my hands and feet at least since I was in high school, with no solution from any doctor. I'm now just taking 1/4 tsp. cayenne in 8 oz. of warm water twice daily - just the kind I had in the cupboard. Should I get a better grade cayenne? Thanks again.

  • Your experience, believe it or not, is not uncommon. I'm glad for you. As for the best cayenne, grocery store cayenne is not the best. In fact, it's the worst really as it's most likely irradiated. For maximum efficacy, I recommend you go to a good health food store or online herbal shop and get it from a company that has third-party certifications as to quality of product. So, in my opinion, I think you should get a better grade cayenne -- but that's just my opinion. Do what you feel best.

  • @truthgladiator That's what I thought. I just used what I had, which was better than not using ANY. I'll be able to go to a health food store this weekend. I'm still checking out your different sites and videos. What GREAT sources of information. I'm so thankful I came across that first site. I'm going to start using slippery elm for my digestive problems, too. Thanks again. I feel I'm finally moving in the right direction to feel better. I already DO feel better.

  • I'm glad you can notice the difference, and thank you for your kind compliments. I appreciate it very much. I'm actually preparing something for my colon cleanse site that I'm excited about. If you're interested watch for it. I'm gonna do a video blog of a massive colon cleanse experience and chronicle the experience. Stay tuned, if you're interested.

  • @truthgladiator I'm definitely interested, and I WILL stay tuned. Thanks.

  • Cool.

  • @truthgladiator I now have organic 35K H.U. cayenne. I started taking cayenne about 3 weeks ago, using 1/4 tsp. at first, and I'm now up to 3/4 tsp. I can't drink it very fast, as drinking ANYTHING too fast gives me the hiccups. I get a calm feeling after drinking the cayenne tea; is that common? Even though it's the coldest it's been recently, my hands are warm, not freezing like they've always been, due to poor circulation. Thanks for the great info. here & on your other sites.

  • Yes, it can give a calm feeling, I suppose. It goes to work immediately to rejuvenate you. I actually feel a wonderful energizing feeling that is very tangible. Your experience w/ increased circulation is not uncommon at all. I've heard that many times. Happy to provide great info -- especially great health secrets the gov't doesn't like you to know. Lastly, don't worry about drinking it slow. Whatever works for you is fine. I like to do it fast as I don't particularly care for the taste.

  • I have a pill swallowing phobia, so I mix my 100,000 HU cayenne with V8. Talk about a hot drink haha :)

  • Sounds good! Yes, I take it like that sometimes too. It certainly does spice it up and makes it a lot hotter, doesn't it!?

  • I forgot to tell you that I take one pill daily with hot green tea... please answer me. Thanks.

  • That should be no problem. Cayenne is an accentuator herb and will maximize any nutrient bio-assimilation or "amplification" if you will. It does that with vitamin C in orange juice, for example.

  • I have cayenne pepper in pills that I found at walgreens. Do you think they have the same good benefits that the condiment itself ?... thanks for the video.

  • I've never bought cayenne pepper capsules at Walgreens. I assume it's simply Walgreens selling the product that they're not the manufacturers, yes? What is the brand specifically? Most spice companies in the US will irradiate their spices. That is why it is recommended to buy it at a health food store or an online herbal retailer that can certify quality of ingredients and certification of product "cleanlineness" if you will. Hope this helps.

  • I'm not a guy who is big on the whole natural cures things BUT I decided to take the "tea" and I'm just going to say after three days I can tell a difference. I'm shocked but this works (reduces angina pain)

  • I applaud your willingness to do this, I really do. Cayenne pepper is ideal for heart ailments -- all heart problems. Of course, I'm just sharing educational info here for I'm not a doctor nor am I presenting myself as such. Cayenne does work. If someone tests it out, it's not long before they realize I'm not just blowing smoke. I'm happy to hear it's helping you.

  • Glenn, Adding CP to food- the Indian man wants to put in a tablespoon at a time- he's very used to hot food. Is this of any benefit, or is it beter as a drink only?

    Patrick

  • Not a doctor so I'm only sharing educational info here. For medicinal purposes, taking it in capsule form or drinking it is ideal. Taking it as part of food is good, but not ideal. If he chooses to take it after researching and deciding of his own free will it's worthwhile, then he'll certainly glean benefits, though, but it won't be like it would be in capsule or drink form. Hope this helps.

  • Great help from your vid! This happened 2 me: For 2 years I was unable 2 turn 4 long onto my left side in bed w/o a strange pressure/pain-used 2 sleep this way often. Took 1 tbs CP 4 about 2 weeks, surprised and pleased to find I could once more sleep on my left, the same as my right.A fellow from India asks can he put CP in food or does it not quite work as well? Is there any, or much, difference between the heat unit values and the nutritional value of the cayenne?

    Many thanks Glenn!

    Patrick

  • Hi Patrick: Your experience is most interesting. Thanks for sharing that. Yes, there is a big difference between just sprinkling it on food versus taking it as a "supplement" by capsule for tea form. And yes, there are significant differences in heat values with different peppers. Cayenne runs from 30k to 50k Scoville heat units in its heat. The nutritional value will vacillate a little bit but not much. Hope this answers your questions adequately Patrick.

  • I am curious how much should you in take a day? I usually drink 1tbsp of lemon juice 3 times a day and since it has shown great results in such a short time I thought id try this. Was recommended by a friend that told me about the lemon juice but he didn't say quantity.

  • Just to be clear, I'm not a doctor so I am not diagnosing or prescribing anything here. Do your own research and if you decide it's for you, here are the guidelines I personally follow. If I have a health condition, I would take it for myself 2 to 3 times a day. If not, such as now, I take it once a day as a maintenance dose. I don't take just lemon juice, by the way. I only use that occasionally with the cayenne. I personally take the cayenne in very warm water in 3 or 4 ounces of water.

  • This vid has been very informative, thanks for the info. MY question is why do you have to take with warm water, is that the only way to get the full effect or can you just take orally and just wash it down with water like I do.

  • I'm assuming you mean when you say you wash it down you are taking it in capsule form, yes? That works. Taking it w/ warm water opens the cells for immediate infusion of cayenne's nutrition, according to Dr. John Christopher's writings. It thus immediately affects the circulatory system. Hope this answers your question.

  • is cayenne safe to take if u're breastfeeding? will it effect the baby?

  • According to a study done at the Univ. of Maryland, "Eating cayenne as a spice is considered safe during pregnancy, but pregnant women should avoid taking cayenne as a supplement. Cayenne does pass into breast milk, so nursing mothers should avoid cayenne both as a spice and a supplement" (para. 20). I talk about it here on my site: cayennepepper.info/side-effects-of-cayenne-pepper.html. Hope this helps you.

  • cool vid man, I added you to my sub list.

  • Thanks Bukakeeblakbelt. Thanks for the compliment too.

  • Hey Glen, I recently increased my cayenne HU from 90,000 to 160,000. Just wondering, do you use cayenne pepper everyday? I do and put it on almost everything I eat. Am I over doing it by taking it everyday? Does too much cayenne have any negative effects on the liver or kidneys? Thanks for the info!

  • To the best of my knowledge, and I've read a goodly number of studies and books on it, cayenne doesn't hurt the liver or kidneys but is beneficial to them. I honestly try to take cayenne daily but sometimes I miss it if there is something on my mind. I was taking the 90k cayenne daily but the 160k has been harder for me to get used to. I think I found a good amount to stick to, though. You're certainly brave to take the 160k. I don't use it with food but will occasionally put it in soup.

  • @truthgladiator Thanks for the info, Glen. 160,000 is extremely HOT, so I'm thinking about switching back to 90,000 HU. That was hot enough! One quick question: how do you know if you have taken to much cayenne pepper? I sweat a lot when I take it, but I don't get stomach pains or anything like that.

  • 4Cups: If you do not get nauseated when you take the cayenne, then what you're taking is goodly amount. When I take the 160k cayenne, I get sweat on my lower back or stomach and sometimes on my forehead. If you can take it without feeling nausea, that is a good indicator you're taking a right amount for you. Feeling nausea is the key; too much and you'll feel too, too little cayenne and you won't get acclimated to it. By all means, scale it back. The 90k is very potent and more than sufficient.

  • @truthgladiator Thanks again for the info, Glen. Appreciate it.

  • No problem. Glad I could help.

  • Is there a way to take Cayenne that is not hot to the throat? I had throat surgery and anything spicy bothers me badly. Thanks.

  • Peter: Take it in capsule form then. That will bypass the throat. Cayenne will not harm your throat, though, by the way. It may make it hot but it won't harm it. Yes, capsules will work well for you then if you choose not to drink it. Hope this info helps you.
