  • Love the warm tone. Some Jazz guitarists tend to have to much treble on that takes away a nice middle range that Bruno has here.

  • Hey Jimmy,

Nice work ! We talked a few times on the phone. One time when you were in a hotel for Fender complaining how bored you were. Hope all is well. Got a new CD with Stanley Banks, Buddy Williams, Onaje Allan Gumbs and others . Getting ready to start a National Radio Campaign.

  • Classical? Jazz kills classical

  • @Jazzboful Yes, as far as the guitar is concerned, Jazz DESTROYS classical guitar NO DOUBT!!

  • awesome

  • SURELY he studied classical guitar?

  • @KenJWC I don't think so. When I hung out with him

he never mentioned it. Except he did the wolfhart

studies on his own as a young kid I think.

  • @KenJWC - What an odd comment. His playing is pure jazz. None of that classical, play the same thing the same way since you were 3 years old, bullshit. Classical guitarists are windup monkeys. Jazz guitarist are artist who compose variations on any given theme on the fly.

  • FANTASTIC!

  • Jimmy..Didn't your dad record with Hank Garland ? Your playing is Superb !!

On my channel is one of Johnny's prize students playing...and me too. :0 LOL

  • good play

  • i love this song

Johnny Smith was brilliant but Jimmy kicked it up a notch

  • This jazz ia in a nother lever up high!!!!!! 5+

  • jimmy is the man... if you don't own his "solo" cd, your cheating yourself... a true master of the 6 string... and when he has 7, it just turns into melodic insanity....

  • Technique and good taste. What a combination. I had the goof fortune of seeing Jimmy with Howard Alden, Bucky, Martin Taylor and Frank Vignola on the same stage.

Check out the Pedal tone run he does at 1:30.

  • HOW UNFAIR!

  • Saw Jimmy with Randy Johnston a couple of years ago at Iridium in NYC...they were covering for Bireli Lagrene when he no-showed it was awesome...there were like 10 people there

  • WOW!

  • Jimmy can play forever if he likes.

  • Super

  • Jimmy, Like Butta!!!!!

  • Yeah Jimmy. You've always been a huge inspiration. Not sure if you remember but we played together at UNF. All my best.

    Taylor

  • Way to go Jimmy!
