Maddiejane5151 - are you the author and "anchor" of this video? It is excellent! I am putting together a presentation for my Intro to University Studies class at University of Phoenix, and I would like to use your video as part of my presentation. Please advise...thanks!
Well I am in Engineering...there is so much work, it is almost impossible to NOT CHEAT on assignments, lab reports...because the volume of work, NOT because we are stupid or dumb...Even if you were up 24/7...it is sometimes almost impossible to get your "assignments" or "work done by yourself ... The system is flawed...they focus more on the importance on grades, rather then learning itself...and then blame the student. How convenient.
WTF??? I thought AIG all those companies cheated the taxpayers out of their money... I am pretty sure they cheated when they were in college did it come bitting them back in the butt ??? no.... cheating is what the world does... if you don't do it then your behind the times... you will get outplayed in this dirty world... this old lady has no clue what's behind those walls.
One reason would be that some kids come from private schools where the administration allows them to do, or not to do as they wish, all the while forcing teachers to give A and B grades that are totally undeserved. Why should kids think that accountability matters when for 12 years they have never been held to account?
How do we convince people to do the right way when the corrupt seem to have the power? The last election (selection) just confirmed this. I am completely anti-cheating. However, it is difficult to convince young people that honesty is the best policy when the last President got where he is by family connections. My sense is that the way to convince them is to tell them that your character is all you really have. The wealth will disappear, while your inner truth lasts forever.
Good story. It would be an interesting sociological study to see if students who cheated a lot in high school and college had different opportunities in the workplace. It would certainly be a lengthy study (10+ years), but it could be very valuable.
I let people copy (and I copied other people's) work in high school. However, college is so different. First, I couldn't get away with it. Second, why would you cheat in the subject you like the most? I don't think cheating on test is very practical, honestly.
