@BIGGESTxxEMINEMxxFAN Kinda late to reply to that, I aready have all of that before I bought my turtle. Also been 2 months and my turtles are doing fine. Thanks for the info though
Someone help, please - I recently found a baby turtle by my sidewalk, I'm thinking it was abandoned. There is a pond close by my home, but I'm afraid to let it go because it might get eaten by a Crane or bigger fish. My problem though, is that it won't eat anything. I've tried giving it some veggies, bugs, bread and even turtle pellets. It's been weeks now and it still won't eat :( What should I do?
"ive kept turtles for 40 years" and the only thing he shows to feed to aquatic turtles are some pellets ... woooow .. i could make a better video on what to feed turtles
my turtle is lonely well me im just the child. Also my mom has a turtle but i need to know what sex/gender they are so they wont fight. But they are babies so what should you do.Im counting on yall
@Rocker16DarkAngle If you're feeding it only that then no, it's not okay. Try giving it pellets. If they don't eat the pellets, try soaking them in tuna water to give them the taste of tuna. Do not use tuna oil, only water! If they don't eat it, offer them only pellets for about a week until they eat it.
@NorthKoreaTroll Thank you I bought some pellets they started eating but they stopped course its only been two days so we'll see how it goes thank you for the advice :]
i want a turtle or tortoise that dosent get huge like 12 in id like a small one that can walk around out of its aquarium does anyone know of a turtle like this?
common snapping turtles are omnivores and will eat a variety of vegitables and they are also very inclined on eating crustaceans such as crawdads(crayfish) and ghost shrimp. They, just like their alligator cousins, love fish as well.
Can someone help please. My sister bought a box turtle like six months ago and she moved. I went to her house to check up on it a couple of days ago. As I was checking the back of the house I saw her turtle. She left it there, the patio is all concrete and I can't believe the turtle has survived that long. Should I just keep her there and feed here once in a while? should I bring the turtle to my house? I don't know what to do..I feel so sorry for the poor thing!! Also, its very cold were I live
"Indoor habitats should provide a cool area and a warm area. During the day, keep one area at about room temperature (68-72F.) with a basking area as warm as 85 (maximum). Overnight temps can drop to about 60 and 75 (maximum).
@queenvbananaswirl15 , thanks for the tips! I appreciate it. I've been reading online about the turtle. Its a red ear slider. Anyway, I got a little kid pool and put some rock and water...I think it loves it!! its eating very little but during the day it walks in my patio and then at night I take her in and put her in the pool. I will set up the temperature in her room as what you said! thanks. any tips on what I should feed her? im just giving it carots and salad.anything else? I heard chicken?
@sfumato1002, no problem about the tips, again i got this off the internet, but this applies to a slighly larger and a baby red ear slider, "they also enjoy eating earthworms, meal worms, aquatic snails (for slightly larger sliders) and sweet water shrimp, but the baby's mouth is not big enough to eat them whole so you will have to chop them up into little peices so that they can eat it." i got this off the internet so hope it helps again, Good Luck!
@queenvbananaswirl15 , Thanks again for the tips. the turtle is eating more now. I think she was scared at the beginning. Now she seems fine. I will definately shop for some of the food you posted...thanks.
you should take it to your house and put it in an enclosure indoors and feed it salads but also check on youtube like box turtle care and you will then know what to do
@stumato1002 If you have a backyard and don't have a dog, bring it home and give it salad and grass and a water bowl that they can crawl into and soak.
@zxeros , Yes I brought it indoors. She has been sleeping for about a week now. I placed a pot with some dirt and placed it sideways. She buried herself and is still sleeping. But she has water and I made a little area for it so it can walk around. I have the room were the turtle is about 65 degrees. there is a blanket over were she is sleeping. I checked up on her and she is alive..I guess it is just hibernating. Its freezing outside..im glad she is indoors. Anyway, any more tips. thanks.
my turtle eats REPTOMIN lol it has shrimp n krill n its xpensive n it wont eat anything else n it goes thru a 1.55az (44g) lil jar full of suff in like A month so yeah it eats a lot

@Trowasgirl maybe its because the baby turtle still depends on its yolk.. the yolk is like a protein and nutrient supply after it hatches..
