PT cruisers really get me pissed off whenever I see one on the street I wanna light it on fire or bite it, they're so fucking ugly I should piss all over one.
what's up with the video of it driving and sitting in a lot before they crash it? Maybe they are trying to say "Oh, this is how nice it looks before your head gets knocked off. Enjoy the ride."
Wow, I have a 2002 PT Loser and it's crash test rating is not this bad. I was thinking about upgrading to a newer one but I don't see that happening anymore.
my dad had a 30 - 40mph diagonal on the divers side door he survided not a scratch hell he had enough strength to cuss the hell outa the kid who hit him! it was still drivable too the aveo the kid had well...........
plus they forgot pt cruiser small? its a 4 door i dont know if id classifiy it as a hatch but more a van!
id call a new beetle small a mini cooper a vw rabbit honda whatever you call it! oh yeah aveo

Car was repairable both times and drivable after the accidents. I drive fast, so side impacts are unlikely. lol I also look both ways before driving when the light turns green, which is old but good advice.
PT Cruisers are so adorable! Most of you are haters. I've had 3 and I love them so much. When I get my Bentley in a few years, I will still keep my Cruiser x]

I was hit with a Ford SUV/truck in the side when he floored it and slid across the icy highway and hit me, at a standstill, and all I got out of it was a cut finger from my sunglasses, I think that was what it was from. I have to say although the chassis bent badly, the inside was in good shape- except for the powder from the airbags.

When calculating the cost of ownership and trade ins. You'd notice that the civic comes out cheaper than the cobalt. It's also cheaper on the insurance because of the safety equipment built in. And the civic is a US built and made car with the plant in ohio. You should check it out if you'd want.
I've owned 35 cars, most of them new, and the PT Cruiser is one of the best. I have a Mercedes which is in a class by itself, but for ease of driving and dependability, the PT Cruiser is a fine car.
I've dolled it up with all kinds of chrome doo dads. People smile!

With cars like this, Chrysler deserves to go bankrupt. Who designed such a hideous automobile. It is so cheap and ugly, it wouldn't matter if it got 50 mpg and was the safest car on the road...I wouldn't drive it if you gave me one. This car is an embarassment.

I bought a 2009 pt turbo cruiser. Compared it with an HHR. The HHR cost a lot more and had less power. The fuel economy in the PT is not good probably because of it's weight. Good car. Just don't get hit in the side.
That thing did amazingly well in the frontal considering its size. As far as the side impact.....all I'll say is freeze the video at 1:42, then it becomes clear why it got a "Poor" in the side test. At least it already looks like a hearse. So if you get hit in the side, all they have to do is pop you in the back of the car and your good to go!

I can lean against the side of the car with my body and it pushes in so easy.
It needs ESC too, b/c even the wind makes it hard to drive.
