There are a few words i could use to describe this song. Perfect, amazing, beautiful, imaculate; none of which sum it up better than one word. Becker.
The whole song is ultimate, but that intro... i mean how the fuck did they compose that type of harmony? some skills there. love when the harmonised distortion comes in too.
If u guys would have been able to read the articles at thet ime...Marty had placed enormous influence on his parents for thier musical taste...and that was all the wierd stuff (like Asian LOL)..i got a chance to talk with him after a show...but i was just getting back into guitar after not playing for 5 yrs or so with combo of my 12 beers and him being tired...he told me just play the songs you like if you wanna get better...well what a challenge, the songs i like, and the songs i practice?
@MrCobra285 have you heard paul gilbert he is another inspiration to me look up paul gilbert B.R.O he does a song in a classical manner on electric or scarified (which is just awesome to listen to)
I don't see why it is even rellevant bringing up other guitar plays such as yngwie. Its music, not a competition. just chill and listen to the music and (hopefully) enjoy it :D .
Quit comparing. Enjoy..Okey, i know . We all wish we could play like that. But it is not that important. To enjoy the music, that is what is important.
An example of a great composition where the virtuosism is a tool to express some feelings and ideas so that you can make the song better, not only a way to show good techniques. That's the difference between Becker and current Malmsteen. Becker is a genius, no quarrel about that. Listen to Perpetual Burn album. As a matter of fact, to make use of velocity only for showing techniques is a mental confusion. Fortunately J.Becker never had that illness.
@youngcristian Don't get me wrong, Jason is my idol but I don't think that he would like to see these comments about ''Justice''. He accepted his illness a long time ago and he is still creative, he doesn't need to ''sacrifice'' other musicians, we love him just the he is. God bless you youngcristian.
is there any way to reverse jason's ALS? Like i will spend millions i dont even own and put myself into a debt that i could never repay just to make jason be able to stand and walk and shred again
this indeed is magic! often, in other songs, chord progressions just don't please me, and i hear other chords that would satisfy my ears more instead of those that are really going on, but this song was spot on - i kept expecting a "wrong" chord or note, but it just never came! i love this song.
@snakekramer Marty could easily play these arpeggios. But this song was written by Jason. He even wrote some lyrics for it but they were kinda laughable so they decided to make it an instrumental (thank God).
@metalrules13 I don't know about easily ha ha. Yeah probably a good thing they didn't put the words in the song, I don't think it would really fit Peter Marino's "style" anyways

just before the ending, before the -very- emotional clean solo with harp backing, there's 20 seconds of EPIC sweep-picked arpeggios . these guys are fantastic, from another world
i finally learned to sweeps lol i played it at at party on my friends guitar which is a jason soloist very nice then i looked up and everyone stop what they where doing and it was silent they someone just yells how the fuck! lol thank u JAson-

@thegoddescomposer It is a great piece, no doubt. However, comparing this with Yngwie is an apples and oranges comparison. Here you have Asian influenced melodies and lots of harmonized sweeps. Yngwie's music is rooted in classical and 1970s proto-metal. Both are very inspiring. It's not a competition, it is art.
@thegoddescomposer I don't know why people have to compare it to Yngwie, what about all other guitarists? There are some Yngwie songs I love and I agree Cacophony is very unique and creative music and more creative in that respect but why dwell on a negative and instead just appreciate this great music.
Writing instrumental songs is much harder than writing songs with vocals so I think it's realy good, that this song is just some alternative. Quality over quantity my friend :)
It is so weird when you listen to an instrumental then a song with singing in it. The vocals aren't bad in a few songs but it is just because jason and marty make them so great they overshadow the mediocre singing.
Best duo in the world. This masterpiece contains such magic...
