Awesome music! I have the cd 'Music of Madagascar' and love the music. I also have a 2 cd set from France that has some of the same on it, and would love to hear more.
This song is used by director Werner Herzog during the closing scene of his 1997 Academy Award nominated documentary Little Dieter Needs To Fly. That movie is about the late Dieter Dengler's capture and escape from Laos during the Vietnam war. Later Herzog revisited this story in his 2006 movie Rescue Dawn. Both movies are well worth watching IMO. Thanks for putting this song up, I was searching around trying to find out who sang it after just seeing the documentary, and here it was... cheers!
