I'm sorry to disappoint you guys but this isn't the iPod Touch firmware (OS X) on the iPod Video. It's the firmware of the iPod Classic on the iPod Video and on top of that, it's themed, so in other words, it's like an iPod Classic with a theme but on the iPod Video.

No mexico, the only thing you need to do to flash successfully to the ipod is to kill the processes named ipodservice.exe and itunes_helper.exe and you can pretty much do anything to the ipod at that point, just don't start itunes again until you are done. I've had plenty of experience with ipod linux with these problems.
