Problem with conservative democrats in that party is they are a miniscule minority and have the liberals leading the party. When Pelosi leads, they have to put their name to the party, despite what their voters want. Another words, they placate the left. Why campaign on a conservative platform knowing you'll never get your bills passed in Congress. Hillary and Obama both come from the far left of the party despite their words. Anyone can look up their American Conservative Rating on a website.
