Conway did it better than Travis. Patty Loveless can sing anything better than the original singers. This woman is AWESOME. Wonder how Loretta likes Patty singing this song? I think Patty has the best female voice in Country Music . I am impressed and amazed at how she can sing anything with anyone and make even bad singers sound better. I really like Travis Tritt's music but he should not have done this song after Conway Twitty. WHY?? In my opinion, Conway Twitty did it better.

The original is still the best. I thought this version was okay, but Travis Tritt totally killed it at 0:19 when he tried to do the low Conway thing. He was doing just fine in his normal voice.

Patty was perfect for this song. What a great tribute to the best duo in country music history.

It was alright. The big problem for me was either the fiddle wasn't there or it got drowned out (I think it got drowned out). It just killed the whole distinctive character of the song without the fiddle.  The other thing, it just seemed like Conway and Travis never completely absorbed themselves in the persona of the song's male characters. They seemed a good deal less enthusiastic than Patty and Loretta. Maybe the song was just written to emphasize the prominence of the ladies part.
