I KNOW SO MANY PEOPLE IN BEEVILLE , TEXAS THAT HAVE SAID THE ONLY REASON THEY WILL NOT WORK THERE IS BECAUSE OF THE LONG 12 HOUR SHIFT.THEY NEED TO CHANGE IT BACK TO AN EIGHT HOUR SHIFT WITH 2 DAYS OFF. I WOULD WORK THERE IF IT WERE AN EIGHT HOUR SHIFT AS WELL. I REALIZE THE EMPLOYEES THEY HAD (AT THAT TIME)VOTED FOR THE 12 HOUR SHIFT.MANY THAT I KNEW GREW TO REGRET THAT DECISION SOON AFTER IT WENT INTO EFFECT.ITS THE BIGGEST DOWN FALL.THEY NEED TO WAKE UP.

Murphy, 53, was placed on two years probation. Both were convicted by a jury of having sex with a female prisoner at the Hampden County Correctional Center in Ludlow while they were correctional officers there.
Thats nothing new,i worked as a correctional officer in a Missouri,max prison,and woman officers are always getting busted for having sex with inmates, the the system is to dumb to know if you mix boys and girls they will play.hehehehehehehe . but the system trys to keep it hush ,hush but officers gossip.
depends on the facility, batons although considered to be less-lethal have a higher chance of killing someone. we don't get to carry them at the jail that i work at but we carry tasers and or OC spray
