you left the pound pulls of the springs, but what are the dimensions of the springs? just curios because my local hardware store doesn't have the pound pulls on the springs, just the dimensions.

P.S. of all the blades ive seen so far i like your design the best. it way not be as appealing to the eye as some of the other ones ive seen but it functions much better than the other ones by far. have you tried to see how hard of an item you can stab without it releasing?

I'm a little confused on how the file is extended; is it driven out by the momentum of your arm lunging it out, (and if so) will the springs in any way make it difficult for it to extend out?

thanx a lot man. now i can modify it so that the main compartment is shorter than yours but the whole blade and everything can go farther out; close to 3 inches farther than the fingertips of an open hand. By the way, I've already designed a geared version for Ezio's hidden blade that can go in and out with a ring trigger. The only problem is the main gear i need doesn't exist in stores, so I'm gonna have to make it. Anyway, good job man.
