What struck me about the debate was McCain's view about the troops. They had the Ron Paul supporters in the balcony. It was obvious that CNN stacked the audience. Regardless, I thought Ron Paul did well. Just the fact that there is a mandate that his supporters and message be silenced is evidence that his support is overwhelming and a threat. Don't anyone think for one second he won't do well in the Primaries. Ron Paul has not a real poll yet.

Ron Paul was flustered because there was only one question addressing the war, and that opened with a statement that the perpetuation of the war was necessary for American security.

The one question addressed to Ron Paul uniquely opened with the statement that he must lose the primary.

This debate was nicely controlled by picking questions to avoid republican accountability on the war, and questions that marginalized all except the annointed front runners.

I agree wtih the assessments all across the board. I think McCain did best. Huck scares me because he's finally catching on with the christians who are actually not conservatives at all except for on social issues. I'm a HUGE Ron Paul fan but I think a) he was short changed on time and b) He answered well but didnt appear confident
