let me walkback a bit. He is playing the guitar part as if there were a band. The same way as 40+ years ago. Well, I guess that's what the fans expect? Frozen in time. Bonus, now I hear that extra chord in the chorus. Let me close by apologizing. "Desperately needs a band" is not fair. Sorry.
@howardsinclair Just to clarify my own comment - I'm saying that treborelluf is talking rubbish when he says JS needs a band. One man, one guitar and ther audience in the palm of his hand. I dream of that!
I close my eyes and open my ears... and in a short time, in my minds eye, my waist's thinner and my hair's thicker . Yeah, my wallet's empty yet my dreams are full...
How lucky we are to have John B. Sebastian around....
No, nothing is the same as it was...but if you close your eyes and open your heart, you may just recall a Dream you had last night...... Time marches on, people change, but the dream remains.....
Ok, so I stand corrected by a BobSeger1981, he had throat surgery....but other singers that are getting older have hard times hitting the same notes and sing lower octaves because of age.
@ENCIII1284 Miles davis had a throat operation and couldnt talk for a year and coukdnt play the trumpet for 3 years but eventually he did by doing 800 dollars of coke a day

unless some one comes up with a time machine, this will have to do. I am glad to see him active and i'm not complaining.

Well that sucks... But it's better than it becoming throat cancer.
John is an awesome songwriter!
