SAMSUNG SC-MX20 camcorder review part1

Hey, I was wondering if you can tell me if you can do a "Start/Stop" way of recording...For example, if you can be recording outside in your backyard...and then cut right into being in your car...something like that. Do you know what I mean? I dont know a lot about camcorders cause I never owned one...so maybe you can do that with all camcorders. But I want to know if you can do it with this Samsung SC-MX20. Thanks

have you tryed usning it as a webcam yet. i have one and i have been trying to get it to work as a webcam so if you have can pass on that info that would be real cool

this camcorder sucks. Mine only shows a white lcd screen and its only 4 months old only used 4 or 5 times. The dicks at samsung won't fix it unless I pay 80 dollars.

I'm glad everyone likes it, but my lcd swivel screen just shows white and the dicks at samsung say the parts are only under warrenty, so I have to pay for labor. 80 bucks for a new camcorder

Can anyone answer me this.... You can edit movies you have shot on the camera making 2 videos into 1. Can you do that on the camera ????

something handheld probably a point and shoot the olympus cameras are very durable

uuummm i got mine on christmas and so far it works great for skating excepst instead of keeping the one setting, i forgot wat its called but yeah, change it to sports not auto or normal

is the camcorder good for filming skateboarding? or anything fast?

It's got that handle (I don't think it's very useful)

It's got image stabilization so that should make for some smooth shots

And I think there's a sports mode to records at a faster frame rate

I'm guessing this would be good portability wise but if you want pro grade and can shell out the$ thismight not be for you

i have a choice of getting this camera, canon fs100 or flip mino hd which one is the best?

i will use the camera for skiing and scootering and unboxings and as a capture card

Well I've just been looking at the panasonic SW20 which is

Shock proof

Water proof

Dust proof

And that appealed to me because I swim and ski and thy would be great for outdoors stuff

The flip mino is good for on th spot videos but I wouldn't rwcommend it for anything more than that

What this camera presents is SOME good video feature all in a easy to use interface for a good low price

If you want more than just a point and shoot camera I wouldn't go with this camera

Definately pay a little extra for the fs100

It has more stuff, better zoom, more options

It's just a better camera but 4 more $

the battery life is about 3 hours

and you can get a 32 gb sdhc card and record 16 hours.

the total pixels are 680kb. i would recomend it to a person who likes to film alot cause of the optical zoom ,interval recording ,etc.

its a good camera for $250 id give it a 9.5 out of 10
