Rusty's so good. He really keeps McCartney on track onstage with his playing and intuition musically. I've noticed this many times, despite the glare of McCartney's very bright light.
@lirfrank LOL the first time i saw paul mccartney play with this band on youtube i seen him and the bassist and thought they were about mid 20's but it was a bad shot
Rusty was my guitar teacher when I was a kid. He's an amazing guitar player as anyone with ears can tell. He was also (and I imagine still is) a super nice guy. He deserves all the success he's having.
how lucky is this. i'd love 30 minutes. i've followed him due to mccartney. bought a divided by 13 due to him. glad i did. he's so relaxed live. great feel player. he should be known by a larger audience. paul has helped. he seems like a cool dude. they make the best players & teachers
So very personable and unpretentious. We went to the same high school, La Habra High in the mid 1970's. His drummer during the Eulogy years was John Nyman who got me started on drumming and I recall during lunch recess going to Rusty's house where their equipment was set-up and I would bang on the drums. I do also recall a number of parties where Eulogy played. Songs like Rebel Rebel and Watcher of the Skies are great memories.
This blows me away, big time. The last time I saw Rusty Anderson play was at The Starwood in 1979. He was in Eulogy and they were totally rock n roll. They kicked ass. His playing consisted mostly of power chords and slick leads. Eulogy was a top-draw band in those days. We all assumed they'd be the next big thing, along with Van Halen and Quiet Riot. It's obvious now that Rusty has kept expanding his musical knowledge and honing his Jazz chops. He rips! I still love, "I Don't Wanna Let Go."
what's the name of the song in the minute 1:10 ?
is amazing¡¡¡¡
